No less than four high end Pedal sets in his Kitchen alone, this man is indeed no lightweight.
Sound guy. Wish I had enough time to go through all his past videos. I've been watching Dave for ages and his vids are always brilliant. Ahhhh Time, what a fleeting and elusive thing you are. I never have enough and you're always running out.
I had no idea Asetek is getting into the simracing market! That's awesome. These pedals look like they are extremely well thought out to be honest. Time will tell, but I feel like they will age rather well for a company's first generation of pedals.
Good stuff. I love the counter "decorations" in the kitchen. Thanks for the content and information.
Excellent review. Thank you for clarifying my future purchase when I'm able to start sim racing.
Very nice over view. For a newbie Sim Racer like me, this is invaluable. Thank you!
FI the elastomers in the brake pedal do not push up against the load cell, just the internal spring. This is quite different to most other load cell brake designs.
Nice to see proper implements in a kitchen, who needs a bread knife when you can use a accelerator pedal.
The ability to change the inserts quickly is fantastic.
Great review Dave. Thanks for your thoughts.
I've just ordered the Forte S-Series so looking forward to trying them but also... nice coffee machine, I've got that one too! 😃
Thanks for sharing your honest opinion happy racing
im waiting for mine to arrive late june. bought the forte, because it will have a upgrade path if I ever wants to go hydrolic.
I like how u decorating the kitchen with sim pedals 😂
Well Dave I was thinking of going with Heusinkveld Sprints but this has given me something to think about.
My next set of pedals will probably be my only pedal upgrade so I need to make sure I get it right.
Thanks for giving us your honest opinion in this video.
You can’t go wrong with Sprints. Highly customizable brake setup feel is possible. 2 plus years and love them. Good to have competitive products out there! Makes for tough choices ha.
I just got the sprints and I’m extremely happy with their adjustability and feel (coming from fairly cheap pedals).
Even after seeing all the positive reviews for these pedals I think I’d still go with the sprints purely on price. The Asetek is a fair bit more expensive where I live, including shipping and all that. If the price was closer I think it would be a harder decision.
Dave sneaks his pedal sets into his local B&Q for the reviews. Ms Dave Cam is keeping a watchout for the store Manager 👏
Man, that cracked me up 😂
You're living the dream mate. My wife won't allow me to keep my pedals next to the kettle. 😂
Nor will mine. I swiftly removed them before she came in 😂
My current pedals are starting to fail, so I'm in the market for a new loadcell pedals because I'm racing in socks (so hydraulics are out). I have my eyes on them since I first heard about them. The fact you can't adjust spacing between them is maybe a huge downside. That's why I would like to try them first. Most likely, I'll be buying them after the summer. So I hope to see "long term use reviews". Thanks for this presentation @Dave Cam.
What pedals do you have that are failing? I'm starting to see issues with my Clubsport V3 Inverted, not sure what the problem is (some kind of pressure loss)
Tough choice.. I'd love to try the Invicta's for their Hydraulic brake, but I guess I might as well just go for the Forte's if they'll bring out some upgrade kit for it later anyway...
Would absolutely love them but sticking with my v3's for PC AND PlayStation compatibility (unfortunately)
I would have liked to see you drive with them Dave. Thanks for your comments.
I was using them on my last race video 👍
Hope someone answers but I do dirt oval racing and I have moza srp pedals and micro center has the forte s series at $280 would it be a upgrade over my srp pedals
Well I thought buying a secondhand car was filled with choices, looks like the sim racing pedals is a market place rapidly catching up, I have been looking at some of the set ups people have, and man you could buy a decent secondhand car with the money some spend, and in some cases even a brand new car, lol, But that aside, your reviews are always honest and on point, you pull no punches and tell it how you see it, maybe that is because you are not being paid to review the items. Roll on my lotto win so I can have some of the gear you use @Dave Cam. lol
Thanks Colin 😁
Why don't you like the stage one on these pedals but do on the invictas? Whats the difference?
Have v3s and would this be an upgrade. Wondering now after Dan Suzukis video where this is not really a full load cell but more hybrid.
Yes they would. Irrespective of the tech, for me it's about feel. These pedals are great 👍
These or sprints thats the million dollar question I need answering lol
That heel rest looks like it would be in the way
Nope 👍
god damn dave. what type of year 2052 kitchen are you in right now?
Good "not a review". Lots of useful info to make a decision from.
Hey, do you think that the Asetek forte pedals are better than the DC Simracing 2 Pedals? I have the chance to get the asetek forte for 430€
Yes 👍
@@davecamm Thank you for the fast awnser :)
Do you think these pedals are a upgrade from the Fanatec Clubsports V3?
Yes I think they are better. 👍
These pedals look great but they are too close together. It would be great to have these mounted on separate plates !!
That's a concern by a lot of people, but unless you've got feet like The Hull you'll be ok 😁
Buy the new Asetek S Series. There you have them separate
Hi Dave, love your channel. Keep it up!
I've got £500 to spend on pedals for my pc SIM racing setup (iracing &ACC) What should I buy? Just pick one for me please 😜
The Asetek Forte 👍
@@davecamm I only play with socks. Got another recommendation?
Heusinkveld Sprints are much lighter, so they may suit you better 👍
@@evilgeenius2 agree w Dave, you can set HE Sprints to have a lower kg force required and softer brake setup making sock use possible.
I have sprints and use them barefoot, you will not be disappointed if you get them, they are a great pedal set.
I got the redline edition because they look better and I'm sure that gives me at least 0.25 secs per lap advantage over the regular sprints.
How these compares to the HE Sprint pedals?
I'm currently running Sprints...tho
They are better than the sprints 👍
@Dave Cam Could you please get into a little more detail about, makes them better than the sprints? I am currently torn between the two sets, as both have their pros and cons. Thanks!
The Aseteks are much easier to adjust and are much much stiffer which I like. Mounting is simple and the baseplate is included. And, they have an LED strip which is worth a tenth 😁
@@davecamm Thanks for the quick reply!
@@davecamm No, they can`t be better. The HE is a real load sensing pedal.
The Forte has a linear spring applying force to a very low rated load cell.
Basically it is a travel based system, it is NOT measuring load applied to the elastomer.
You can try this if you remove the elastomer. It is a fake load cell pedal that measures a very very short travel. With that it is worst than any other load cell pedal on the market.
Could you please help me with two questions?
1 - are they very strong to push?
2 - can I put them on the floor, on some piece of carpet or something?
Yes they are firm pedals. I wouldn't use them on carpet. As you brake the front would lift I think.
@@davecamm is it possible to make them softer when pressing?
Even on the softest setting they are quite stiff. But yes you can make them pretty soft, but if you were thinking of doing that I'd save yourself some dollars and buy a cheaper set of pedals. 👍
@@davecamm Thank you so much
What would you recommend? I can't mount them on the floor
The DC Simracing pedals are great value for money, as are the Fanatec V3 👍
@3:30 does Dave admit that Asetek sent him pedals to test (and presumably ship back) only to keep them on his rig (and not ship back)?
You the man, Dave! 👍🙏
What is the software like Dave?
Software is excellent. Really simple to use 👍
After watching multiple revieuws from like dan suzuka... These pedals are not pressure based at al. But travel based... Wich wil give you problems with muscle memory.
Do a little.kore research into how it works then 😁
@@davecamm i meant to ask lol whats your point of vieuw on that? Any problems what so ever or absolute 0? I want to get pedals in this price range not sure to get these or fanatec v3

I can’t buy those, i “preordered” the invicta, maybe in 2026 i will get to receive them. There were only 5000 in front of me.
We expect all preorders to be complete by end of June (Invicta) :)
@@dennishampe4465 Dont toy with my heart. That would be a great news.
