this makes perfect sense to me. i see these types of patterns everywhere, of rhythmic contractions and expansions. almost like breath. when we work with it, it provides immense learning and growth opportunities. when we fight it with judgment we lose out on growth opportunities. so I guess judging fluctuation would almost be like us judging our need to exhale...as if it were some ideal to inhale continuously forever!

I used to feel like I was going to be in reactionary mode forever. Once I started practicing Love and Compassion for Self then I began observing conscious responsiveness. During a recent conversation that would normally elicit a reaction, I found myself in, as Nicole says, Witness Mode. It is incredibly powerful to find a new system based in loving oneself overriding old and and now unnecessary defensive mechanisms. This is a huge step for me in taking my power back. Blessings to all of you Self Healers out there. 💜

I am a little emotional right now because I was having the hardest time understanding the concept of not being my ego. Nothing I ever read or listened to made me understand it in practical terms. But the notion that we are the “witnessers” of our egos and that we are consciousness watching the stories the ego runs out of old hurts has made me understand it in a way I never have.
I guess this is why there are so many teachers out there (in addition to trying to raise the vibration of the planet more rapidly), because where one teacher fails to resonate with you, another one eventually will. Thank you very much.

@@Abundance26 The egoic mind is the conditioned mind pattern-thought stream and emotional reactivity, selective perception, distorted interpretation, complete identification with thought and emotion, and perceiving everything as personal.
When you hate what you are doing, if your internal mind-stream is filled with “should” “should not”, criticizing, blaming, accusing, that is Ego.
Egoic mind is possessed by the primary identification with thought forms, physical forms, and emotional forms. For example, “me and my story”. That is, the identification with the incessant stream of thoughts going to the past or to the future, obsessive thinking, most of it repetitive, and the emotions attached to the thoughts negative.
Mentally-Emotionally Healthy Tribe practice awareness of the ego every day in oneself. When you detect the egoic mind in yourself. Smile : ) When you are aware that Awareness is not part of ego, it is a different dimension of consciousness.
The greater part of mentally-emotionally unhealthy peoples’ thinking is the Egoic mind ~ involuntary, automatic, and repetitive. It is like mental static. Strictly speaking, mentally-emotionally unhealthy people do not think: thinking happens to them.
Mentally-emotionally unhealthy people are identified with the voice in the head…the incessant involuntary compulsory thought stream and the accompanying negative emotions. We Mentally-Emotionally Healthy Tribe are not possessed by the egoic mind nor possessed by emotions. If you are completely unaware of this egoic mind pattern, then you take the thinker to be who you are~this is false identification.
Mentally-emotionally unhealthy people are highly reactive when things don’t go exactly their way, when obstacles or difficulties arise. For example, at work, when things don’t go according to expectation, when other people or circumstances are not helpful or cooperative, instead of being the FLOW, unhealthy people feel personally offended, resentful, stressed out, angry, et cetera. Mentally-emotionally unhealthy people create “anti-energy” creating new obstacles and new oppositions.
Negative states, such as, anger, resentment, hatred, envy, et cetera are egoic-created activities that have reached epidemic proportions. A person in the grip of negative states do not recognize that they are in the grip of egoic mind pattern. They will only perceive their negative state as an appropriate justified response to a situation or person. Negative states are the internal equivalent to toxicity and pollution. So, the only thing you have to do is become the Watcher watching. That is, Awareness of the egoic mind.
      Peace, in Hope, Dr. Freshwater

Interesting this ego work has been a practice of mine these past few years and I wasn’t aware of what it was called. Been determined to change long standing practices. It hasn’t been easy...and like you mentioned not in order but I’ve personally noticed the change and so have those around me both positive and negatively.
CZcams is my only form of social media is it possible that the content you release on Instagram be posted here. Thank you for these videos they are helping me understand...myself better at 45 yrs of age than never before!

Hey Nicole, Erik here, thanks for the vid ! , I am also coaching my clients this, coming out of the DNOTS myself. What you also often see, is the false positive side of the ego trying to gain control again, even in the state of fluctuation.. 😊, having judgemental ego thoughts like, oh why am I not in stage 4 yet ?, I want to be enlightened, why is it taken so long?... i will be in stage 4 in a couple of months ! etc etc. even then, and especially then you have to be the witness, be aware... tire the ego Lion out into acceptance on a deeper level.... and then we have integration 🙏💫.. let the mind become your friend as Mooji so nicely put it... but be aware of the life and death struggle of the ego. Just wanted to share that...in love and light Nicole... 🦋💖🙏🛐 Erik

A very complex thing was so simply explained. Thank you!
Just as I realised that fluctuations are normal, and mind like the sea .. sometimes stormy, sometimes calm .. this video affirms it . Guess it was a glimpse of witnessing.

Got to love the importance of consciousness. This simply tought me a lesson not to ne fully immersed in my emotions and learn how better I can be to responsiveness.

I am well aware of my ego and have been for quite some time. I've experienced something interesting though, bad for me, but interesting these past couple of years.
At work, I was always the humble one. I never played politics, worked hard, not a backstabber. After 8 years in one place, I changed jobs, went to work in a new company started by some of my ex-colleagues from the first place. Immediately, there were power struggles as I wanted to be more independent in my work and some of the ex-colleagues wanted to be in power and they had a very different idea about the company culture. I had a particular problem with one female ex-colleague and one male new colleague who was aligned with her. I basically started to get bullied by them on a fairly basis, in part I believe because I was humble, cool with most people, pretty popular, collected. I rarely got provoked, if at all, I kept my cool, as I considered that to be more professional.
Where does the ego come on? The bullying kept escalating, to the point of flat out abuse, because their ego didn't want to admit to itself they're acting wrong. So the ego tried to push through. They failed and after one major scene, they instinctively understood they crossed the line. I had the upper hand. But they did something cowards do IMO - once they started losing, they immediately attempted to become my friends. Probably to level the playing field and stop me from getting ahead. And I of course should've kept my distance, but because I was angry at myself over something personal at the time, I didn't have the ego to judge anyone else and I accepted their "friendship" for a tiny, little while. Literally one eager handshake after a holiday.
What followed was the weirdest display of an "ego" war. Both sides kept pretending we're super friendly, although we weren't and each kept waiting for the tiniest show of "hostility" - me, to prove my point they were bullies for years and not friends, they to "prove" I'm "fake". This went on for almost two years and whenever I tried to get ahead, they caused a major scene for something to get attention to them and undermined me in some way. Because the management protected them, they got away with it. It eroded the entire company culture, completely. Like the entire company as a team fell apart on the inside because of this as people were forced to pick sides and so on.
And now, two years later, some people left because of this, some new people came in. The past year, the entire company on the inside was literally frozen, no promotions nothing, while the bullies kept gaining political points by fake displays of humility, friendship, etc. These bullies got promoted, so did a few other people who knew I was getting bullied but didn't help me and now the interesting ego part - now they act and behave as I did when I came in. Like they're cool, collected, professional, experienced, mature, which they refused to do in the first place when I was like that, because their ego wouldn't allow them to acknowledge me being better at something while I was ahead. But now, they pretty much stole my behavior and personality, or parts of it, of course after making sure I'm kicked down and broken. And my ego is destroyed, I got demoted to beginner status pretty much and I mentally feel like all the experience I had going in is gone and now I'm again the immature one, who needs to learn and grow. And I can't overcome this in the company, I can't just switch to how I was at the beginning, it just doesn't feel right mentally, or even possible. And that's all ego too.
