    You always think very... I dont know but I can tell you one thing, it takes a special kind of intellegance to do what you do.

    Why not make the dust cover automatically open when you prime the blaster?

    • @00goop27
      @00goop27 Před 7 lety

      Asean12 that's actually a good idea. The front just needs to be slanted

    • @archangel2014
      @archangel2014  Před 7 lety +1

      Several reasons. Somewhere along the way if the dust cover opens while you're pulling the priming bar back, you're going to scrape your hand. Second, some driving force is going to be necessary to flip the cover open, so a reaction force must be applied when the bolt is in it's resting position. This means either a far more complicated system, or a dust cover that always is trying to flip open. A "slanted front" is also basically useless, in the sense that the cover is no longer locked in place by interfacing with the bolt (the whole point of the notch in the front) and that slanted cutout is now a fairly large opening for grime to get into the blaster, eliminating the point of the cover entirely. These things seem like good ideas on paper, but are quickly disarmed when implimentation is actually applied. You are welcome to build your own and prove me wrong ; )

      Aeromech I'm nowhere near skilled enough yet. I'll stick with snap bows and pump snaps for now. Also, where do you get your red and white foam?

      I pick them up from the play field when other nerfers launch them at me.

      Aeromech ha😂 I that's hilarious! We use a community bucket, all the darts are made from 1/2" gray FBR

  • @thunderb.dreadnought1363

    Nice! What are the ranges on that rocket launcher?

    Hey Aeromech you should make a secondary for the Sear Carbine or a mini version

    Hey Aeromech. Do you know the length of the pipe for the main body of the rocket launcher and the piston for it?

    • @archangel2014
      @archangel2014  Před 7 lety

      Umm no I don't unfortunately. For blasters like this you can often measure as you go. I wanted 3 inches of piston traverse so I measured everything else around that dimension

      Aeromech Thanks. I'll figure it out. This will be my first homemade so hopefully it will turn out okay.
