I've tested and tried tons of different boosting methods for car levelling in Forza Motorsport 2023. This include Idle and Active strategies, different cars, different tracks, and even different modes.
After testing, Forza Motorsport MOSTLY rewards car xp, driver xp, and car levels as evenly as possible as play, not matter how you play. This means that everything you do will be almost the same.
The BEST method does involve using an Oval Track (Eaglerock, Homestead-Miami, or Indianapolis) on the Rivals game mode. You will be paused for inactivity every 15 minutes, so you will be required to interact with your controller periodically to avoid this. The best method is just to apply the handbrake gently every 15 minutes. For those getting a little more creative, on PC you can use a script on something like AutoHotKey, or on console, you can use a turbo controller like the Mayflash Arcade Fightstick F300 to avoid the inactivity pauses.

TIP: Avoid the 15 minute idle screen by pressing down on the dpad to open the telemetry menu. Choosing "Friction" will allow the game to go as long as you need it, but plug in your controller to keep the game going! You will need to go in your Xbox console settings, then preferences, and change your idle preferences accordingly.
Are you sure? Because i switch to friction and it still came up with "are you still there" or do you have to keep telemetry menu open?
@@kieranpt10 keep the friction menu open on screen. iv done it with 2 cars this way since i got home from work. be starting a 3rd shortly.

Because it's a pain in the dick to Grind every car. It's the first time in forza motorsport history Not able to Upgrade youre car to the max at the Start
USE THE MIAMI TRACK FOR EVERY CAR! If your car is too fast, add an air restrictor to bring the speed down significantly without hurting everything else a lot. Currently have a P class that was hitting the walls on every lap on Indi and now it won’t even come close to crashing while maintaining a 30-40 second lap time and averaging 1 level every 2-4 minutes (depending on level)
I figured this would end up being the method when I went for the 50 laps in rain+night achievements. It's incredibly dumb they gated upgrades behind this system.
I like it, it's a racing sim. It wants you to drive to earn things, it totally makes sense, people are just lazy and don't want to put in the hours. I think it's a nice change compared to forza horizon where you get a new car every 20 seconds and can instantly fully upgrade it, it takes away immersion and the rewards don't feel nearly as earned as in motorsport.
Making perfect sense to you doesn't mean it makes sense to everyone, this was a bad idea, why can't I buy the parts and tune my car? If you don't want to tune your car to the maximum, that's your choice, but let those who want do it.@@FuckinPeezy
@AndrePereira-tw5vs do you drive irl? if so, do you like to upgrade your car? If so, do you upgrade each part/a few parts at a time? Or do you go and fully max out the car straight away? Yeah, that's what I thought.. it makes sense. People are just used to Forza Horizon and having everything handed to them on a silver platter! It's a sim. If you don't like it, leave, I guarantee turn 10 won't be changing it to accommodate to you. And yeah dude, it's fuckin peezy.

@AliHasan-je7zw It's a new start for the series, hence being called Forza Motorsport and not Forza Motorsport 8. If it bothers you that much, don't play. I'm sure they won't mind if they lose a sook. And I'm sure anybody that enjoys simulation racing for what it is won't care about the grind. I play Forza Motorsport to play the game, I'm not going to be mad about having to grind it when I enjoy the game. Go back to Horizon 5 if you want to have access to everything in an instant 😅
Also, if you buy even the exact same version of a car you already have at 50, that car will be level 1 and if you want to upgrade it you need to, again, level it. By far the worst upgrade/level system ever in any racing game.
It should just be leveling the manufacturers and unlocking upgrades for those cars under one umbrella. This is just lets squeeze artificial playtime from our players to pad out those statistics or some crap.
My opinion at least. Hopefully this gets changed in the near future.

Some don’t do career mode. Theirs a whole photographer community and they all have to grind to unlock parts just to take pictures, which is free marketing for forza but they don’t care. Also all the cars sound like dog 💩

@Nobody-su9km yeah...and at most a series is 6 races long. So you have to go grind out the rest of those levels in a bunch of single races or hopefully there is another series your chosen car is eligible for. Besides, what are you even talking about? It takes way more than 10 races to fully level a car. In the practical performance series I chose the Golf R. After completing the series and doing 3 rivals races with the car its only level 24..

yeah you may be right about rivals giving just a little extra but in circuit race you can set the drivatars to 0 and enforce the lowest level of difficulty in terms of tire and fuel etc
Not just that but if you set it to club rules and then modify your fuel you can set it to 5% so you complete laps a bit faster, which can help with getting more left turns in for the sectors because you'll be a bit faster. If you have tire compounds (level 12 for every single car unless they start with it like touring cars) you can set it to softs and have no degradation. Also you can set backmarkers to be ghosts in Free Play so you won't get stuck behind slower cars and lap them. This will also give you more money than the Rivals method to buy more cars to grind out in this god awful progression system.
I've been setting it to 3 hour timed races at one of the ovals and it's been pretty solid with going from 0-50 or at least something like 0-47.
If you're idling anyway then you should race the drivatars...20 laps on LeMans Old Mulsanne (take any track you want really), Drivatar difficulty at 3-4, set PI limit to the exact number of your car, club rules, GHOST BACKMARKERS (most important).
This way, for about 20 car levels you'll gain ~150k credits aswell...the 20xp you occasionally get in rivals for a best section is negligibale at best.
If your car has good handling try holding down your accelerate button..."rubberbanding" your controller is the only way on Xbox, but on PC it's way easier to change the controls so that the "↑"-key accelerates the car and weigh that key down with an object. This way you'll get good or even great segments regularly, but stay around for one lap to make sure your car doesn't exit the track at some turn (if it reenters the track, it doesn't matter...).
A few fast cars have abysmal steering with assists turned on and will exit the track even without the weighted accelerate button (Porsche 917LH for example) in which case don't bother with technical tracks and go for an oval.
Lastly if you use the keyboard method for accelerating, the key input will be nullified every time you enter the telemetry menu, so you have to lift and re-press the accelerate key every time you enter the menu.
Overtake the AI on the first lap (literally shove your way through them and cut corners), gain a little distance to P2 and then turn on the assists...the average AI lap time (difficulty 3) on LeMans is 20-30s slower than your car but they might catch up on the mulsanne straight (because even with pressed accelerate button the throttle assist will not go full speed on the straight), so even if you passed all the cars before the straight just drive the first lap's straight yourself and turn on the assists right before the breaking zone at the end...at that point you should be safe

I was opposed to the car leveling system at first but its really not that bad anymore. I only play multiplayer races but every win feels that much better when i build my car up race by race. A little faster or quicker each race.

try clicking down on the d-pad then right on the d-pad. this will bring up tyre loads and that then bypasses the 15 minute warning. I have done that on circuit races but havent tried on rivals and run for 3 hours with no problems.
I tested this and it work in rivals too. And the moment you close the telemetry you'll get a prompt asking if you're still playing.

It doesn't matter just upgrade whichever car.
You don't use credits for upgrades. You use CXP (car XP) that you earn per car while using it, so you can upgrade all your cars as you earn that with them.
I'd say upgrade the ones you use the most, or are currently using
I've been having the game run on my laptop, controller wired, with friction details on screen. Screen turns off for power saving which has worked perfectly well. But now the game is bringing up the pause menu, have they changed something to how this works?
Im torn between the rivals method or the Old Lemans circuit method. Anybody know which method is faster for B to A class cars?

3:45 Just push down right on the D-Pad and bring up the friction menu and leave it there, then the car can race for as long as set it. It still going when I get up in the morning, or when I get back from work.
On PC you could also set a macro to quickly tap a button every 5 minutes.

does the extra overtake xp against ai make any difference? I haven't tested it, but it feels like a bunch more, and its super convenient if you go into accessibility in the blind driving settings and just turn off collisions

You can have all 23 other ai cars on the track as long as you put braking at partially assisted. It will bump into the back of cars, they get out of the way, your car will pass them and you will brake for corners when it needs too.

This will also gives you a good amount of credits and driver levels. You'll earn about 100,000 every hour or so.
If you have the time for it, 45 laps on the 24hr le mans I was able to get a car to level 50 in one race but like I said if you have time for it. But if you do well in the turns you can level up the car at least twice in one lap

Honestly the leveling system of the cars is absolutely doing my head in, I don’t understand why upgrades are locked behind me having to grind a car for hours to upgrade it, why can’t I use the credits I earn instead of having to sit there for hours upon hours just for one car to get to lvl 50 and then once it’s all leveled up I don’t want to drive it anymore 😂

Eu uso o modo Corrida Livre sem drivatares em Spa Francochamps.....a cada 6 ou 7 voltas sobe 5 niveis....Escolho carros de medios a velozes...Voltas em torno de 2:45.....Tempo limpo.....tem bastante curvas e alem dos niveis de carro sobe o do piloto,,,ao final de 60-65 voltas Level 50, subiu uns 15 niveis de piloto e em media quase 200,000 em CASH.......É MAIS UMA OPÇÃO......

And as I'm writing this, the BMW I was about to level up went from 7 to 50 when I backed out of freeplay to put upgrades on it. I'm about to try to replicate it. May be a fluke though
Since the patch that came out this week, DXP and credit gains appear to be capped to 100,000 each when using this idle method. Before the patch I once ran the game idle for 18 hours - 2000 laps on the oval, netted me 647,000 DXP and 917,550 credits. Since the patch, I've done this method twice and it just now appears to be capped to 100,000, as I only earn 100,000 DXP and 100,000 credits.
How long does it take to get that much exp?
After 1h 18min I received 50,000 dxp and 81,250 credits
but on PC you cant tab out of the game and upens the pause manu :(

I will say this as much as i hate this car level mess. I leveled my 69 fairlady and i will driving from stock to level 50 and tuning as i go did make me understand the nuances and strengths of that car every time added a part or tuned it. I see what they tried to do but i still hate that grind tl level each and every car
To get around the ARE YOU STILL PLAYING for PC is just make a simple macro that repeats it self. Mine Taps W for 50ms and then waits 20,000ms before tapping w again and repeat.

Just get on private multiplayer with a friend go to the longest track and mess around going back and fourth on the straight for like 15 minutes and it will level you up i think 6-7 levels or you can be on the same multiple and just pause the game and it will drive the car for you and never give you any notification just make sure your controller is plugged in and set it to 30 or 50 laps and go to bed lol
Car xp needs to be tripled at the minimum. Or when i get level 50 every other car from that manufacturer should be level 10 and then when you get 5 maxed they are all level 50 from there out or something

I think a per brand system could work. For example, if you drive a lot of Fords, all Ford's share car points, so there would be no difference between upgrading a mustang or f150 as long as you drive enough fords

Do a speed glitch method, there are few videos how to do it, it's really easy. Works the same way as in FM7.
The blatant push by nearly all game developers towards artificial player retention is an absolute embarrassment at this point. The new standard of paying for "early access" is bad enough. Next they will all start introducing Pay-2-Not-Play options, straight from the playbook of the worst MMOs and mobile games. Hell, Ubisoft already started introducing this crap years ago in Assassin's Creed Odyssey.
I will stick to leveling the car the slow way.

@@MartyKaydepends on the car I found that if the car is a faster class of car you're better off using Miami or Indy if it's slower then Eagle Rock would work better

Console players, if it's still asking you to reconnect your controller after AFK it's because newer controllers are programed that way. Finding an old controller + rubber banding the trigger + down on the d-pad opening the menu is what worked for me. 100% afk for forever.

@@EXTIINCT_ doesn't matter if it's plugged in or not I've tested that. your controller will still turn off. Like I said it's only newer style controllers that do this. They're literally programmed to stop you from afk.
