I've been watching, "Dune" reactions all day, and your reaction was one of the best. I read the book, (Also listened to the audiobook) and I've read all of the books, but this new iteration is going to be one of if not Denis Villeneuve's very best films. Enjoyed your video.
Love Dune, read the books. So happy that Denis is a true fan of the book and is doing this film adaptation of the book. You can feel his love for the material and the characters. So happy this film is being done in a time when there is such amazing cinematography and brilliance behind the lens. I have never wanted summer and the beginning of fall to disappear and it be November so badly in my life.
Denis was already sitting in my top 5 current directors with Prisoners and Sicario let alone Part 1 which was exceptional. If you are interested in Hans BBC did an excellent documentary about all of his film scores. There is a significant section about Dune that's just brilliant.
Your friend did you real good. Poster he gave you is oversized poster. Most are window sized like your theater entrances. An it's rapped an sealed, even better. We all need friends going the extra mile for us!

Sort of, he doesn't quite possess the full ability to see the future as clearly as he'd like or at will, he can see possible future(s), not at will, and often they are interpretations or metaphors for things that may or may not happen, so its quite vague at times. Remember, Paul was born a generation too early and doesn't possess the full range of abilities of the 'Kwisatz Haderach', but its close enough
Have you read ann McCarthy dragon books? Putting you in completely different world! I've wanted dragon books made into movies for years now. An technology has grown enough to make great dragons!

I think Warner Brothers may have pushed this trailer up, to get people taking about something other than The Flash being DOA at the box office.
And also the fact that Dune is now on Netflix I think the timing of this trailer is actually pretty smart.
And, maybe there will be an even more epic trailer closer to November

5 months before launch is not early, its about average, some studios release a trailer a year ahead of time.
