- Hello lovely folks! Today I will be unboxing and swatching 12 handmade, honey-based watercolors I purchased from Zecchi, a small Italian company based in Florence. I hope you enjoy watching the video as much as I enjoyed swatching them ❤️
You can find Zecchi watercolors and all their other handcrafted materials here on their site:

The other materials I used are from Jackson's Art Materials:

Thank you for your appreciation. Zecchi Colori
You are very welcome, your watercolors are wonderful! 😊😊

How can I get this set in the United States?
You do the most fascinating videos. I am enjoying seeing them . What perfect circles you draw.
@@heianwoman thank you so much! ❤❤
That Hooker's green is really something special!
I have to say, that is the most beautiful Hooker's green I have ever seen. The Caput Mortum and Payne's grey are absolutely gorgeous! ❤️
I totally agree I was in awe when I swatched it, and I still am! 🥰
@@lilymoonart do you have any light-fast information? I looked on their website and couldn't find anything. No pigment information for watercolors either
@@maryannprzybycien2013 On their site they have a colour chart: 3 stars is maximum lightfastness, 2 stars is I believe medium lightfastness, hope that helps!!
After the Kuretake Art Nouveau, I put these on my list. I ADORE the colors!
I’m going broke bc of these swatches! I got the art nouveau, but I must have these as well. In fact, they compliment one another quite well.
@@aleidadiaz2261 Oh dear, I am so sorry!! But they are indeed so beautiful!! ❤❤
We have the same wish list 🤣 I’d really like the full kuretake set 🤩
I haven’t even started painting in watercolors again after a 30 year hiatus, and I think you’ve spoiled me for more ordinary colors. 😂 I’m waiting for my first order from Zecchi. Thank you!
Oh my gosh these are beautiful Lily…thank you for swatching them for us…I am in love. Is there a way to order them in English? When I click on the link it is all Italian, which I don’t speak. Loving watching all your videos, very soothing.😊
I have seldom seen such beautiful colors. Thank you!
You are very welcome, I am so happy you liked the swatching! 😊😊
This was just so enjoyable! What stunning colours. I can tell that they're excellent quality paints. The standout colours for me are Green Earth, Caput Mortum and Payne's Grey. That Hooker's Green is amazing too!
Thank you so much Natasha! They are truly, really lovely paints, I think you'd really like them! 😊❤
I believe the sister company of Zecchi is Renescens, the two brothers set up in different countries. I have a lovely set of the second brand which I love. The greens in particular are really lovely and include a selection of cobalt greens. And yes, the dragon’s blood is also there and I could not resist it! I have 20 half pans and agree they flow very nicely. I do know that everyone who bought them from the single source at the time I bought my set were super happy with their purchase and in that town they were like a local secret! They definitely have a character of their own. I love your original paint box, I have a newer copy and it is not quite so nice. A lovely home for your new paints.
Ah, I will look up Renescens, thank you for the info! The Zecchi paints are really special and you can tell while painting that great care was put into them! 😊❤❤
@@lilymoonart yes, they are a nice brand and have their own special quality, a kind of subtlety that
I appreciate. I think Zecchi also do the best and most affordable Lapis Lazuli, if you are into that kind of thing. Way better than far better known big label brands. Another Italian company called Nila Colori also do a nice version…. I love your paint out btw, really shows the beauty of the colours.
@@lindyashford7744 So much wonderful inforrmation, thank you!! ❤❤🙌
Renesans, it's from Poland 😊
@@CATAZTR0PHE Oh! Thank you for the info!! 🙌😊
Green is usually my least favorite colors but these greens are Gorgeous 😍
oh my goodness, they truly are so pretty!!! ❤❤
Elegant colors.
Oh Yes! these are wonderful. This is my favorite swatch video so far!!! Thank you so much for sharing with us.
Thank you! 😊❤
I JUST ordered that book! Couldn’t really afford it, but considering my obsession recently with single-pigment handmade paints? I’m REALLY trying to find paints me and my tutors can use on Xuan paper. Until Marie’s and the chipmakers get back to their roots; professional Asian artists are desperately trying to find substitutes that can be used on the very thin, delicate Xuan paper. I’m finding some that I can mix the peach sap gum with that work. Some have gone to Kuratake…but Chinese painters normally pride themselves on using natural pigments; Kuratake is mostly synthetic. My main tutor is sticking with traditional chips from the only chip paint maker adhering to the intangible cultural heritage standards. Problem is they are almost impossible to get here in the US and cost an arm and a leg. She’s using her old set of Marie’s before they changed their formulations, with students..but when those tubes run out, she’s not sure what she’s going to use in her classes.
Absolutely wonderful, beautiful and amazing colors!!! They look like they were handmade very carefully ❤
They are really special 😊😊 (I may have bought some more and will be making a video about them quite soon! I just couldn't resist! ❤❤)
The entire bottom row plus the Hookers Green (my fav green shade) must come live in my palette ❤ These are absolutely gorgeous paints!
I know! I am physically restraining myself from visiting their site and purchasing more of their colours right now, haha ...however I may fail and eventually do just that!🙈👀😊
I am a fan of handmade watercolors. These are stunning! I have ordered a 24 palette with my Christmas money and can’t wait to receive them! Thank you for sharing!
Wonderful! I really hope you have so much fun with your new colours! 😊❤️
Thank you for the tremendous reviews and for the introduction to some new watercolors. I’m going to try some because of your recommendation while watching this video. I really like the hauls but really enjoy watching you unbox and swatch the colors. I feel more secure in giving these a try and I’m always on the lookout for new companies and what products they have to offer. Have a great day and thank you once again for your hard work and dedication!💕🎨
You are so welcome!😺❤️😊
I just watched this and realized that I had “Hookers Green” in an old palette. I mixed the Hookers Green with Dragons Blood, and produced a beeeeeautiful soft olive green that is quite granulated.
Thank you Judy! I'll give that a try for sure! (I love discovering new beautiful mixes ☺️ )
I love your handwriting!🥰 and the swatching!
Aw, thank you!! ❤❤
Lovely. Thank you. I have been coveting their Lapis Lazuli for ages!
It is definitely on my wish list too! 💙💙😊
Came in right at the tail end of the premiere, those colors are absolutely lovely!
They are so beautiful!! Thank you for being here :)
lol oh the joys of filming with pets nearby 😝that ultramarine green is gorgeous and that paynes grey is nice, always handy to have a good paynes grey to work with
Beautiful colors!
They are so beautiful :)
i saw these at choosing keeping, they’re on my wish list 😭💗 you keep swatching my dream art supplies 😂💗
Oh, Choosing Keeping carries these as well? That is wonderful!! 🙌❤
I never heard of this brand but do own the A. Gallo handmade watercolors from Italy. They are amazing as well. I’d love to try these one day😊
I'd love to try the A.Gallo too ☺️🙌
Why oh why do I have to live in the UK lol we never have anything like this site or if an international seller does ship the postage is extortionate. Have subscribed. Love how you did the swatching
I do feel your pain, I live in the mountains on an island and things getting here take soooo long and also cost a lot to get here! And thank you so much for subscribing, means so much to me!! ❤❤😊😊
i can't find any information on the pigment numbers for these paints, i would order them if i knew the pigment numbers
What is this set called?
Hi! It isn't a set, they are single colours I chose from their selection of half pans, hope this helps!! 😊😊
