I’m up to 17,000 kilometres, and still riding. (Brisbane Australia) Had it for 20 months. Don’t ride hard, get about 3,000 kilometres from a set of tyres. One issue I had was the local dealer wasn’t real good at repairs, and I had to leave it there 5 days a couple of times. But I got past this by finding an independent repairer. Fits easily on the back seat of my Suzuki Swift. Doesn’t like jumps. Every time I do jumps I have problems. It’s more of a cruiser. But it has done me really well, it’s one of the best toys I have ever bought.

I've owned the OXO now for about 7 months and whilst it's not perfect, it's a fantastic scooter!! My ride to and from work is 40km each way, so it's not a short trip (I only do this once or twice a week for something different). I wanted the dual motors for that better low speed acceleration and higher top speed (65kph), as well as the larger battery for extra range. The biggest downside for me is the brakes - they are NOISY! Especially the rear, for some reason the pads often rub on the disc even though the calipers are aligned correctly. When braking to a stop, they squeak a bit too. This is something Inokim really need to improve on in upcoming OXO models. I also suffer battery overheating issues too on the longer rides, mainly if my top speed is set above about 40kph. The scooter will completely shutdown and won't turn back on for about 20 mins after the battery has cooled down slightly.

FYI: I'm 6'8" 230lbs so many models are out. One of the best things usually not mentioned about this Inokim scooter is the over 130cm handlebar height (over 51"!)--in addition the deck to handlebar height is 116cm which is almost 46". So in addition to just build quality, this scooter is a great choice for taller hard-to-fit riders!

Thank you Chuck for another great review and show. I really like many things about the OX but there are things that hold it back for me. That acceleration is insufficient in my opinion. I find acceleration far more important than top end speed especially in city riding. I would go for the dual motor version as there is a lot to appreciate with this scooter. In addition that rear fender will definitely not keep your backside clean or dry. I think all scooters should come with grip tape or some type of rubberized deck as you need to have secure footing. Every single one of my scooters has had grip tape. Stay safe and healthy!

Nice review. Your clear, well-annunciated speech did not go unnoticed. And a nice scooter too. With a well-modulated thumb throttle. I looked into Inokim, but one of the reasons I didn't purchase was that although I don't live too far from the dealer in BC, getting it to the US was a slight bother. Hopefully, Inokim gets a west coast, US dealer soon. Now that Boosted Rev is gone, the Inokim is one of the few "designed from the ground up" scooters left. Having ridden a parts-bin scooter with coil springs in front (EMove), the lack of clanky coil springs on the Inokim would be appreciated.

I'm on the fence with regards to which brand I should go after. I"m considering the Dualtron Eagle Pro and the Mantis Pro. Things I'm considering are; accessibility to replacement parts, user serviceability, overall durability, upgradability, performance and finally financing options. What are the pros and cons of having scooter clones vs unique designs? Two thoughts come to mind which seem obvious. Firstly, unique items will have harder to obtain replacement part as time goes and and the model gets phased out. However there will probably be more attention to detail and more quality control. On the other side of the spectrum a Scooter clone will have easier access to replacement parts but it may be lacking in quality control.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on these ideas.

I ended up getting the splach rangeras it was the only one to match my search criteria. I would love for it to be under 40 lbs but that’s in some future battery and material advancements.

    Had this since summer 2018
    60v 21ah battery
29mph top speed with minimum 35mile range
Everything about it is decent quality except for the motor controller!
Someone needs to make an upgraded version that’s a straight swap out for the original, then this scooter would be closer to perfect.
Trying to get spare parts or even just new tires is a pain in the ass! But the rear brake is definitely worth upgrading to a hybrid or full hydraulic, also some semi off road tires as the street tires are ok for off road only in dry weather.
If anyone has a spare motor controller that they can ship to the uk let me know👍🏻

You can purchase small cheap tracking devices for a few £ or $ on AliExpress. You can get the really cheap ones where you put a SIM card in, text it and it relays the location back via SMS or you can buy one slightly more expensive which allows live tracking. You can hide them inside the scooter battery casing or stick it on the bars and make it look like it's part of the scooter.
