- Today, I discuss Gepard in relation to FU XUAN and LYNX who we will have a banner for NEXT in Honkai: Star Rail 1.3 and Gepard's value! I go over relic and planar set suggestions, and his future value even with the release of Lynx and Fu Xuan. I hope you all enjoy my mini Gepard Guide with his best builds (relics and light cones), and my thoughts!

Gepard in a nutshell
1. SP generator
2. High shield uptime
3. Easy to build since DEF main stats are common
4. Highest aggro value
5. Technique is a baby version shield of his ULT
6. ULT only costs 100 energy
7. When knocked down, can still come back one time per battle
8. LC friendly but more dope if you have his own LC

@dohalimilqarasdeldemenanci8483 That was me when I got him from the departure banner. A few months later and he was my very first character to get a lvl 10 talent and hit lvl 80. That shield changed my mind really quick. 😂

Got Gepard a little over a week ago, have him and Luocha so I am set for sustain, and have my eyes set on Jingliu so FuXuan is a skip even though she has other utilities. Also Gepard's idle where her sings Serval's song and gets embarrased is adorable.
His idle is so precious!
My main team also has luocha and gepard. We have skill points for days

gepard literally gives you another health bar instead of reducing the damage taken and absorbing it. so you pretty much take no damage at all. perfect for yanqing/arlan if you main em
Gepard is the only reason I even beat most of the game content, just last night I beat Difficulty 5 in the swarm cause Geppie and preservation path is a free win. Like he takes no damages and when he dies he just gets back up plus if you got Bailu and the Destruction revive blessing he can get up 3 times so basically he’s a boss. I don’t have his lightcone so I’m buying his lightcone in the shop and then he is going to be unstoppable.

Gepard is such an amazing unit. He doesn't need to use skills, he has such a fat sheild and if you use landau's choice, he always gets targeted so your ult is always available.

Hes fantastic , the only minus point that he’s a standard banner which is actually harder to get for some people, people underestimate his freeze !
I had him with EHR body piece at first and his freeze was pretty much guaranteed. It was fun but I'd rather have the thick shields
65% Base chance ain't freezing sh1t IMO.
Unless you have E1 Gepard, E2 Silver Wolf or Copium amount of Hit rate sacrificed from Defense%.
Good thing we have the 300 pity in the standard characters. Currently at 210 so maybe in 6 months I'll get my Gepard.
Except even with best builds he needs his main weapon and a full team of perfectly fast characters to be viable solo sustain in endgame content ☕
@@Anthony-so4goGepard isn't great with Fast AF DPS because they would eat up their Shields' Duration.
Gepard would be better utilized in DOT and Counter attack teams.
Despite having Luocha and Gepard, I still want to go for fu Xuan as she fills a different role as a damage mitigator and tank of sorts. She also allows luocha’s passive field to be utilised when running both together in any future content preferring double sustain (such as swarm disaster) plus I also have multiple DPSes already with Seele, Jing Yuan, Kafka and E2 Yanqing
I just lost my 50/50 on fu xuan and here i am
i came back to star rail just recently, after quitting around when fu xuan was coming out, and i got gepard on my first roll. i was salty at first BUT geppy is hard carrying me through the story content so now i love this dude.
he's my first 5 star unit i got and he's all i want since the first day hsr released so it's a big win for me :D

Thanks for this guide ❤ I've had incredible gacha luck in this game and had won 100% of 50/50s... (that's 5x wins on characters and 2x on LC) until today. Yep, it finally happened and got Gepard on Fu Xuan banner - I'm happy, as I always wanted him (and he came pretty early too). I'll still try to get FX as well but I'm definitely building/using him too. I want his 5* LC one day, but for now I'm using S3 Landau's choice.

Lost to Gepard in the Kafka banner and got him on the standard banner so I have him E1. I just got into the game around 3 weeks ago and the Landau siblings are carrying my ass through all the content. I've them both built so looking forward to add Lynx to the bunch

Tbh he was my first 5 star so he does have a special place in my heart. He helped me a lot during early game but..Fu Xuan. I just wanna use Fu Xuan more, cause women and she heals/buffs which is something I just simply want more (Also resources can be a lot to grind and having to double the grind for that material is something I’d rather not do). After I get Fu Xuan+lightcone I’m going straight for Jingliu and I’m excited for her

As a player who built Gepard the most. 134 speed, 95% effect res, 3.3k def, 119% energy regen. He is pretty good.

Geppie was my beginner banner 5*, and I have him e1 now (when I reach 300 pulls on standard I’ll probably choose him again)

Got him on Seele's banner, and he has served me pretty well ever since. And getting his LC from the standard banner makes his shields even stronger. I prefer his "taking no damage" over Fu Xuan's "share damage amongst everyone", so gonna skip Fu for Jingliu since I also have more members for mono-ice team unlike only Qingque for mono-quantum

Yep your all good, once you have 2 well built sustains just focus on building/wishing for other dps for moc and PF and supports
I really came to like Gepard in mono ice team in SU with remembrance Path. I have E1 Gepard - 100% Chance to freeze And E1 Yanqing - more dmg to freezed enemies So this combo Is just Pure freeze Fun. But as my first 5*, Geppie never left my team even when people were saying He Is terrible. I was building him since the beggining And Now I don't regret. He can easily carry me in SU (not swarm disaster because of the DoT) And MoC. Not even talking about normal bosses or enemies.
But my favorite thing to do, Is using Geppie And Serval together. I hope I'll get Lynx to have all of Landau siblings.

Lost the 50/50 on Fu Xuan and got Gepard. I got Loucha so I am finally good on solo sustains and can think about damage dealers, the next two are both strong.
I've a well built one. Comfy shields for days. The only bad thing is that if you're using him as a solo sustainer for long fights (like MoC 9 and 10) is that you get to the end with your characters on life support
Are you using the ERR rope? I pretty much never have downtime on my shields ever since I made the switch.
don't forget about wind shears and burns. Even with his aoe shield, your teammates shield will be gone in 1 turn. Since you're most likely going to use him as a solo sustain, you have no cleanser, meaning that wind shears and burns are going to accumulate and destroy your shield after you use his ult.
He was my first or second 5 star. He's probably my best character. Meticulously grinding for the final 7% EHR for the 15% def bonus from the Belobog planar set... and my err rope and spd boots are still at lvl 9 while I try to get better pieces. The grind is real 😵💫
How is Gepard's defense with a speed boot btw? Is it still good?
@@STARCR33D mine is about 3.7k and that's with 4pc knights of purity palace, Belobog planar set and his signature LC.

@@STARCR33D I get like 2.8k shields, the key is energy regen rope so I can pop his ultimate every 2 or 3 turns
One problem is that it’s hard to use him with low def teammates my Gepard is highly invested and my silver wolf is maxed lc maxed traces max level and she always dies in moc because her def is low

Nah I don't really think I'll ever bench him. He was my starter banner pull and is now e1. I mostly use him with Daniel bc I don't have Luocha so Geppy is the closest thing I have to a sp positive sustain❤️ Also him+Bailu pretty much carried my early game and he is still carrying my ass in SW until I properly raise Fu Xuan🙏🙏

Gepard is strong af, but I need Fu Xuan for Mono Quantum team and for my 2nd team for MOC.
I use Gepard myself but plan on replacing him with Fu Xuan except in MoC where he'll replace fire trailblazer and/or Natalya. I personally find that Gepard does actually not pair particularly well with Seele because she's too dang fast (especially if you have Bronya), so I find she often makes the shields time out before Gepard has the energy to put themb ack up again even though the hp on the shields are still there. But Gepard is certainly ideal with Yanqing.
My other main gripe with Gepard is that if he doesn't start with energy, it can take too long to get enough energy to put shields up before some of your squishier characters can get 2shot or something which can be frustrating. Of course his out of combat technique or whatever they call it helps with that, but they aren't as big as the in-battle shield, so while they are good enough to keep your squishies safe under normal circumstances, they don't hold up for bad RNG cases where the big bad guys target your wrong character twice in a row.
I don't have his lightcone yet though. I have 600 things saved up, and I'm thinking I'll buy it, but I'm not buying it just yet because I don't want to pull for Fu-xuan, lose the 50/50 and oops, I got Gepard's LC instead, then I'll be hitting myself that I bought it and iddn't wait to get Bronya's instead.
Honestly I can't wait for Fu Xuan, not only for her herself, but so I can make good use of those 600 things for a 5* Gepart/Bronya light cone instead. It'll be a nice power boost to my account. I already have 65 pity, 35 gold cards, and 22k jade. So even with the worst luck I'm still getting good stuff.
That said while I find Gepard can hold a team on his own in MoC despite the slow install and stuff. He provides nothing in terms of kill time, so I'm looking forward to having a solo preservation that will also actually help my dps (especially since My Seele is at like 75% crit rate. Fu-xuan's CR boost will be a big help).
he was my first ever 5 star and 5 star with eidolons, i'll always love gepard even though his damage might not be good i love his kit besides that.
How much damage do you want from a tank? I guess the answer is Fu Xuan but you're gonna have to wait another week!

Sitting at 48 pitty with a guranthee and although i have a feeling fu xuan is going to be probably better or on the same level as luocha i already have luocha and gepard built with his lc and recently pulled bailu but haven't built her so i must stay strong for jing liu she is gorgeous and a beast in combat. I do have an unbuilt Gepard. I’m going to pull for Lynx to pair with Clara but I might stop once I get her instead of going for Fu Xuan. Or I might just get Fu Xuan just because she seems to be standing right in front of me at the time. I haven’t decided yet, but hopefully I can stay strong and it won’t turn out like that time I accidentally got e1 Luocha trying to pull e4 Quigque.
You can use them all for MoC :) I would highly recommend building your Gepard though haha!

gepard shield only last for 3 turns and its a bad idea to pair him with hunt char like seele/sushang or other speedy char like asta, they will waste his shield really fast, so i use him on my dhil team insted

ok ill fully admit gepard was one of the reasons i started star rail (along with jing yuan) and i may have spent some money to get him XD but it was worth it his shields are so big and i was able to beat some early game stuff i had trouble with because of him. im not pulling for fu xuan causse I feel safe enough with him and luocha anyway lol

Pov:you came here after losing 50/50 on gepard on fu Xuan banner🤣🤣,i got his signature lc on dan heng lc banner,now I lost 50/50 and got him,I have him on 4.2k defence,and his lc makes enemies atatck him more which silves the energy problem as well as helps to self sustain,my most of relics are still 12,the most annoying thing is if he got imprisoned or freeze by enemies it is really problem,you need one debuffer with him,he is really strong unit

I've been saying the same thing. Ik in cases Fu Xuan is a clear upgrade, but I have consistently beaten all content with no sustain issues between Luocha, Gepard, and Bailu, so I'm gonna be skipping her. Probably just wait for the next Harmony or Abundance character that offers significant buffs or something.

Fu xuan IS NOT an upgrade, it’s a sidegrade, sometimes geppy can be way more powerful than her. Just got his signature and 3k shields with speed boots + er rope with nearly 100% uptime is INSANE OP
I have Gepard, Luocha and a guaranteed Fu Xuan. I don't care if "i don't need Fu Xuan" She will come. About Gepard he is E1 (my first unit and last 50/50 lost). I will build him because his E1 permafreeze and I like give rotation to my teams.
I have luocha + sign lc. He is awesome. But, I want more protection for safety. So, I got gepard 2x. Just like welt.
However, I do not get gepard sign lc. When fight cocolia and f goats boss, gepard and luocha is perfect combo. I do not want to die. Gepard when die, he will resurrect himself which is cool. I still looking for gepard spd boots and err link rope. rng is suck.
I fight cocolia again and again. But still no err link rope drops make me mad. 😡😤 Planar fissure events and Welt got his err rope. Meanwhile gepard still not get the right one yet.
Spd boots because my main dps is qq and dhil. You want those sp hungry dps to be slight slower. So, I try use 2 set messanger and works well. But, lack of defense. 🥲
Now, I use texture of memories. I've seen many player rarely use gepard as support unit on their account. I don't know why people underestimate him or what. For me, he is a must to add. These people who call others weak (for rely on support) is a crap. I don't know about you but for me tank and healer is a must to have in my team. ehehe..

i actually prefer gepard over fu xuan. fu's more of a gimmick tank with her crit buff and debuff shield so she probably won't do against bosses with heavy aoe damage like the current sward disaster for example. gepard on the other hand provide more damage mitigation aside from his shield, the passive taunt combined with the 4 star taunt artifact makes him the target of attacks 70% of the time and his skill can came straight up delay a turn from the opponent. fu have more places to shine than gepard but gepard can carry more against endgame content imo.
