One extra thing to consider are lightcones, especially those on Preservation, some having passives that heal you. These help really well with team survivability.

I feel like facecams are irrelevant for guide videos. It doesn't really matter if it's there or not, people are clicking for the guide, not to see someone's face.
Whoa. Team positioning. Mind blown. That had not even occurred to me that the placement can facilitate a more defensive or offensive playstyle. I feel like characters like Clara and March 7th can make great use of this "splash damage". Whereas if you're only running march and fire MC putting them both to one side is so smart! Thanks for this breakdown and I'll definitely be watching more HSR vids of yours going forward :)
I was actually surprised by this tip, because I thought it was entirely caused by the character speed, and not the team selection order.

This is really fun starting a new game alongside everyone else. I love it so far.
Got Seele and Himeko … and an E4 Natasha and E1 Dan. Fun team with the amount of follow up attacks. Probably would get more out of putting Asta in for Himeko but she was my first 5 star from the beginner banner.

10:53 I learnt this the hard way. I had a level 2 team and went up against a lvl 16 world mob. Altho I killed the shit stain but took me a whole bunch of turns plus massive help from clara and march7 counter

Thanks for the guide. I'm almost figure out my team. Since i got seele yesterday, she'll be main dps. The mc i think can stay physical to be phy dps because i got gepard. Natasha must. Fire is asta, lightning is serval, wind is either sampo/danheng.

To be fair, it is shallow. Just match the colors basically.
The lack of depth is also due to the shout gatcha. Can’t try different teams when characters are dk hard to get

there are team comps and synergies, different skills and rotations, speed boosts and follow up attacks to change timing, and more, just like Genshin.
@@TheRoleplayer40k yeah the gatcha is actually really hurting my enjoyment so far. My luck has been garbage, and I can't make any good teams because of it.

Super stoked i pulled Welt. Such a great all round unit. Support/sub dps. Best of luck everyone. Ive played for about 12hrs in the last three days, no rush doing sub quests before continuing campaign. Play how yall want. I also have a c2 sushang so stoked i watched this video lol.

@@andretanza6230 I find him to be awesome. Use a dps, a shielder or healer, Welt and maybe another dps or buffer sub. You got yourself a fantastic well rounded team.
Ex I'm using Welt, March, That free healer and subbing out the free wind dps or main character depending on enemies.
@@andretanza6230 I got him too and somehow I pulled Seele in my first 10 pulls. I put them together and it's really good, his chain gives Seele more free turns here so she can deal more dmg.

I think Natasha is optional if you’re going for a Tank build with Clara. You only have so much resources, so level 20ing and the standard banner aren’t really important right now.
Build a team around the starter banner 5 star you get (whichever it may be) if you want effectiveness. I myself am using Clara instead of Trailblazer in my main team comp.
I got lucky and pulled Bailu (the only character I wanted because dragons are awesome.) I've been able to run pretty much whatever team I want as long as I spam her healing.
At first I thought March 7th is a Cryo Diona/Ganyu hybrid because of shields and Ice Aoe. 😋
And lightcones act as base weapons just like Genshin weapons. 😍

So I just started playing on PS5, did two Eidolon upgrades to the MC, but hearing this video I should’ve saved the second one for later in the Fire element? I will be saving any future upgrades for the MC for the fire stage. Also pulling from the discount banner, I think I did 3 so far and got a copy of Natasha, so right now my team is MC, Natasha, March 7, and Herta. I also have Serval, so I guess I’ll build her along the way. I like Herta because she does a lot of extra hits, so her and March do a lot of residual damage.
Was complaining so much after getting Bailu that I didn't get a good dps 5star [ even though after so many wishes till now (rank21) got no 5star, neither on standard nor on event banner ], I played the game and understood that healer is so important in this game...

As far as i know clara is good but she on the slow side since she need to counter, so i guess that why people think she is bad because slow and counter reliant
Any chance we could get guides on the standard banner characters? I got Clara and I have a vague idea of how to use her but tips would be helpful.

Regarding 11:09 with the toughness breaks, I'm not finding this to be the case. I'm testing against the Echoes of War boss with a level 30 Sushang versus the lvl 38 and lvl 47 versions and not finding a difference in toughness damage. I'm also testing with a level 20 Pela vs the lvl 16 and 42 enemies in the Hunt Calyx. They take two hits from Pela regardless of whether they are lvl 16 or 42.
Lucky me i got the early 2 5* char is Welt and bailu. Can put natasha n bailu on each team as healer. REALLY like Welt, the only imaginary char in the game 😍😍

I got him from my beginner banner yesterday. I haven't tried him out yet but I've heard he has some seriously chunky shields. I was feeling a bit dejected about it since March is already such a strong unit and the same element as him, and I wanted a more offensive 5* like Bronya. But maybe he will allow me to run 2 shielder teams when I get to forgotten hall 10+...
You might need a second shielder until you can fix Gepard energy because only his ultimate provides the shield. My Gepard can only ult once every 5 or 6-ish rounds of combat
You can use tingyun to provide energy lacking of gepard
I have Tingyun, all the free character (Natasha, Asta, Dan Heng, Ect..), Clara, and Arlan. What team should I use?

considering the resource avail at later stage in comparison with more variant units, i only go as far as monthly pass. should i even bother to spread more than 5units for 4star rarity?
Team bulding is simple:
Run bronya bailu, and tingyan
Then insert your dps and watch the carnage
I don't really do stuff like this, I just vibe with what I enjoy, not sure if that is what would be considered good for some people. I just run Protag, Welt, Qingque and March because I like the style they have, is that good enough?

do you need two shielders with Gepard onboard? I've been running him as a solo shielder with no healer and so far i've been doing okay, not enough resources to start on 11 yet though.
