Trying out the Swiffer Wet Jet Kit in 2023. The Swiffer has been around for years. Some of it's early models struggled to deliver a perfectly clean floor. Needing a new option other then a mop I decided to give the Swifter a try. How does it work and is it worth the fact you need to by cleaning pads often. Lets check it out.

I have had 2 different swiffer wet jet mops in the past few years and 3 boxes of the pads plus the box for wood floors. Every single time I use it the pads will not stick to the mop heads. It hunches up after 2 strokes of the mop. So frustrating. This was either 2 different swiffers and 4 different boxes of pads.
The solution hardens in the nozzles between uses, and
wont' spray easily .

The pads are way expensive… when unexpected company is coming, I use them for quick touch ups.
I agree but at least I can replace the fluid with any cleaner I want, so that's something.
Be careful with wet hardwood floors and bare feet, I know someone who broke their arm doing exactly what you're doing
My Swiffer doesn't spray like is supposed to.
Change the batteries
My older one takes 4 aa batteries...new down grade.
I hate scented cleaners. There is no reason for it. Gain is one of the worst, a long with Febreze. I just bought one of these Wet Jets. This alone will make me take it back.
They’ve gone overboard with putting scents in nearly everything. Everybody may not want to be overwhelmed by numerous scents all day long!

Agree. Had the same issue with the motor not working after a few uses. Took it apart and lubricated it but to no avail.
This wet jet does a horrible cleaning job. My floors are still filthy after.

Agree…I use the good old sponge mop you can ring out …. Wet it First with water… Then, squirt down some cleaner (Method makes a squirt bottle floor cleaner). I clean an area movie 6‘ x 6‘, rinse the mop under running water at my sink. Keep repeating, then go over it with clean water to ‘rinse’, throw down a couple old clean towels and swirled them around my feet to dry the floor. The swiffer wet jet is great in a small area that you keep clean that just might just need a spot clean. But nothing beats the old mop,
