I'm a beginner who wants to build a career in Machine Learning, and currently a 300lvl Engineering student in a ‘Nigerian Federal' University but based on my research so far, I discovered that I will need to start as a (Data Scientist/Data Analyst). Should focus on Data science alone or Data Analysis alone or am I to learn both or is one a big brother to the other?
Another question is if I am to learn only one out of the two which one should it be and to what extent should I learn it to having in mind that I wanna major in Machine Learning.
Pls I really need a guide on how to go about this....
And pls answer the question considering the fact that I am a student in a Nigerian Federal University.

Go ahead and learn both. start with DA before focusing on ML. the IBM data analyst / data science certificate should give you the basic working knowledge.

you can replace missing values with mean, median or mode values.

Please I have a question on this kinda dataset from Kaggle.
Going beyond using the dataset for practice, can we use dataset such as this to build a portfolio for our self I.e using different data set to creates data visualization using Excel, Power Bi and even python.
More so, going beyond data visualization and doing some analysis building a portfolio.
If yes, please how do we go by it? Such that it will not looks like we are using other peoples work. Please I need more explanations and clarifications. Thanks
I'm doing very well....thank you. Yes you can. Although I don't subscribe to copying other people work, you can use their work as an inspiration for your project.
So how do you go about this, once you find a dataset where you understand the data,
1. go through what others have done with the dataset.
2. Formulate your own hypothesis i.e. questions you want answered
3. Analyse the data, hopefully you get answers to your questions in step 2
4. Create multiple variations of visualizations of your analysis.
5. pick the best one that best answers your questions.
6. Rinse and repeat.
