Nice Review. I just took delivery of my Sea Grass FOE on Tuesday. I’m in PA. It’s worth the wait and I agree software should get better over time. I w was stopped by a Tesla driver who loved it. Then I took it to a local mechanic to see about the inspection sticker. When he asked me what EV I had I told him the Fisker Ocean and the 5 mechanics and owner all came out to have a look and loved it. The owner said “We’ve been waiting to see one in the wild!” They were like kids opening presents on Christmas 😂😎
@@idman3 Loving the Sea Grass. It looks good and depending on how the light hits it, the Ocean appears darker or brighter. Also, glad I went with the F3b Slipstreams. I haven’t seen one Ocean (online) that looks bad. For me, I’ve yet to see another Ocean Fam member in Eastern Pa. Good luck on getting your Ultra! Depending on your personal expectations I still believe you’re going to enjoy it.😎
As always, a great video. I've been driving my Fisker OCEAN ONE since October in Germany and have also covered over 5000 km (3.000 Miles). I'm still very satisfied with the ONE. Initially, there were software issues that were annoying, but they have been resolved through various Over the Air (OTA) updates. The ELS Studio sound system is sensational-definitely worth a test listen. I've averaged 20.5 kW/100 km (62 Miles), including 50% highway driving. The California Mode (opening all windows, the sunroof, and rear window) provides a fantastic convertible feel. Magna's build quality, similar to my Mercedes G-Model (also built by Magna), is excellent. Speeds of over 200 km (125 Miles) on German highways are no problem with the ONE and are enjoyable. You always have a secure feeling, and the road handling of the OCEAN is fantastic. In conclusion, a great car that is certainly a serious alternative with the current software. As always, form your own opinion and take a test drive with the Fisker OCEAN.
Absolutely awesome 👏🏻!!! Saw one here in Niagara-on-the-Lake (Ontario, Canada) yesterday parked on the side. Seeing your review I understand your enthusiasm for it - what an amazing car it appears to be…

Wow, your enthusiasm really comes through. Love that you're enjoying your Ocean. I didn't realize the way the headlights level, so thanks for shedding some light on that - no pun intended. A retirement vehicle / something for the longterm is a nice way to look at owning this or any EV for that matter. If we're going to help perpetuate the sustainability message Fisker is going with we should look at owning our Ocean's for years to come. In the short term EV's aren't necessarily great for the environment due to additional energy required to manufacture the battery. But, over the lifetime of the vehicle, total greenhouse gas emissions associated with manufacturing, charging, and driving an EV are typically lower than the total GHGs associated with an ICE vehicle. We just have to consider that lifetime is probably going to take several years if we want to offset ICE. I too am looking to own this for a while... hoping that the company can make it through their current rough patch. I noticed the red light on your charge port. Does that indicate a specific percentage level of charge or below? Thanks again for helping the rest of us Ocean owners with another solid video. Keep up the good work. And hi Molly
Nothing from the exterior of the car indicates the level of charge the car has. According to the manual here you go. Aqua Blue Flashing-Communicating, Green Solid-Charging, it has other codes for errors and doesn't mention red. However, red means the car is going into a deep sleep which can be activated by exiting the vehicle, opening the charge port, locking the doors, then the light will turn red, waiting 2-15 minutes for the LED to extinguish. That initiates a deep sleep for the car.
Thank you for this review. Very well done! I have my $1,000 deposit in place and go back and forth on whether or not I should move forward. I guess my biggest fear is if Fisker doesnt make it I'm stuck with.a non serviceable $70K EV. Some comments about the energy efficiency/kWh per 100 miles you are experiencing would be interesting. I am driving my Ocean One in Norway in cold and snowy conditions these days and as many Ocean One owners here, we are experiencing a material drop in energy efficiency during below zero degree Celcius driving. Fisker is aware and is addressing the problem in recent and future SW updates - same goes for vampyre drain - which was very high at 3% but has been reduced to 2% - with further improvements needed to reach the expected 1% level.
Like the other commenter, I'd be interested in hearing a bit about your real-life range. The EPA range is supposed to be 340mi but most EVs don't get anywhere near that (Tesla being especially bad). I've put on 67000mi on our 2019 Nissan Leaf which has an EPA rating of 226 and I'd be lucky to get 150-170mi on mostly highway driving. I'm looking for an EV that can get at least 250mi on mostly highway driving.

Also thank you SO MUCH for not harping about the bloody ‘California mode’! I would like to ask, how is it with towing? And can you record some footage of a hill start, hill stop, and some mild dirt track driving at however high a speed you feel safe at?
How was your experience regarding getting the rear seat controls digital screen fixed? Was Fisker responsve? How did it work? Did you take it in somewhere or they sent someone out to you?
@@Ocean1_FSRGreat, thanks. Just got an email today to work with the Vehicle Admin Coordinator to complete the next steps on my order, registration, payment, schedule delivery, etc. Still have some trepidation on the viability of company and how that could affect the owners. Especially when it comes to software updates, servicing, etc. So debating if finalizing the order is the right way to go. Or whether wait it out and lose the $1000.
@@Ocean1_FSR Fantastic. Thanks for your video and your candor! One final question, was the vehicle registration process in KY pretty smooth? Any additional surcharges you ended paying? I'm in Texas so laws might be slightly different.
@@shivpalvansadia9152 Registration has been smooth so far; however, I think I was the first and possibly only one in Kentucky so Fisker messed it up. Fisker sent me the forms to fill out and take to the clerk's office to send back to them FedEx.
The Ocean has 4D radar which currently isn't active for many things; however, once active it will be an amazing system or it should be. It will have many features utilizing those sensors to focus on safety and ease of driving. For example, the adaptive cruise once active using the 4D radar will be able to sense objects like cars and people at far greater distances than cameras. It will also have automatic lane centering and lane change capabilities and even "park" your car. You can pull into a mall or something and it can scan for open parking spaces. Hope this helps.
Almost impossible to answer. The battery should last the life of the vehicle. If it were to fail it has a 10 year/100k warranty, after that it's anyone's guess.
Had mine one week, great power, solid if not a little heavy steering. Some high tech features. On the down side, very raw software with lots of glitches. One key fob and if you lose it, no other way to get into car and turn off and on? The website has no functionality(like my EV-6). Need some work to clean up glitches. No auto hold, no adaptive cruise control, guess this is what you get with first roll out.
One of the comments here indicated that the Ocean doesn't have adaptive cruise control. Is that possible in this day and age? My 5 year old Nissan had that and lane maintenance - both seem like a must-have in a modern car. If a 5 year old, $40k EV could do it, surely a $70k 2024 car provides it?
Currently, it does NOT have adaptive cruise, but it's coming along with many other updates. Right now, it just has regular dumb cruise we all grew up with; however, the Ocean has 4D radar. Once activated, it will be able to do all kinds of cool stuff like "locate a parking space and park itself in a crowded mall"...things like that. I think it will probably get adaptive cruise in February with the 2.0 update.
@@Ocean1_FSR that's good to know. But I'm a little leery about such basic features not being there right from the get-go. Others have commented about their concern that Fisker's finances not being great - if the company does go under, not only will current customers have trouble getting their car mechanically maintained, they could pretty much give up on those future software updates ever getting added. I guess I'll wait a few more financial quarters to see where Fisker is then before I decide to commit. But thanks for all the info - much appreciated.
@@twolf2919if you're saying it's so simple to have adaptive cruise control that your 5 year old vehicle has it, why would you be leary that they will add it soon? Sounds like you're just being negative for no reason. Anything like that is updated OTA. all the hardware is on the car already. Most important part is the build quality and thats clearly the strong point for fisker
@@nickanselmo8619 re-read what I wrote. I didn't say I was leery of them adding adaptivecruise control - I'm leery of trusting the company to be around long enough to add that feature. Fisker (and Lucid) is on pretty shaky financial grounds: they haven't sold many vehicles and, thus, haven't achieved the economies of scale needed to make a profit on each car. Granted, they're in better shape than Lucid because Fisker doesn't have the financial burden of building its own factories, butt on the other hand, they don't have deep-pocketed financial backers like Lucid - and Fisker, I believe, is still losing money on every vehicle they make. Getting back to my fear. It is risky enough to buy a car from a startup - if the company goes out of business, how/wehere do you get it maintained? But it's even worse if the company goes under before basic features, including but not limited to adaptive cruise control, are even there? You'll never get those features - on top of having trouble getting it maintained. IMO, of the pure electric vehicle makers (i.e. those who don't have another revenue stream that can absorb the inevitable initial losses of making EVs), the only "safe" bets right now are Tesla and, maybe, Rivian. Don't get me wrong: I love the way the Fikser Ocean looks. Just can't afford to take the risk of buying a $60k car that might turn out to be a brick (maybe leasing would be an option though).
Then you are in store for great improvements - the OS 1.10 was a great leap forward and the OS 1.11 update adds features which we have been missing. In 1Q24 we are promised some more material updates which we have been waiting for e.g. one-pedal driving, adaptive cruise control, torque vectoring, etc
This may be a dumb question: how does one test drive this car? The Fisker web site is pretty flakey - when I thought I was arranging for a test drive, I seem to have simply added myself to their mailing list :-(
I have sport on order, but I am not in rush to get it as many software bugs need be worked out, I may cancel order too, not sure as milage on sport has dropped to only 230 not 250 as originally stated, which is a shame, and delivery charge is almost $3k ,which is crazy as most others charge $1400 delivery. So it brings car way above what it should, but we'll see.
I can't speak for delivery, but I can speak on the software. Don't let anyone fool you. The software is very good. What doesn't work, or doesn't work 100% is very minimal. Basically, the only really buggy thing at all is the door unlock and occasionally a camera will stick and need reset. Resetting is very simply and only takes 15 seconds. Also, it's very easy to beat the EPA range if your driving is 55 MPH or less.
@@tonyn3227 For Ocean One owners, there was no delivery fee-not directly. Everyone has to pay destination charges, but I was not charged a delivery fee. I did pay 2,438 in Destination and Handling fee to get it from Europe to America, but that is just a standard fee for everyone.
@Ocean1_FSR my sport is about $3k , destination fee a day then delivery to the house. That's what comes out too, most out of anybody, even mercedes is$1400 destination fee and free delivery to your house
@@tonyn3227 Sounds like you are paying the regular destination fee + about 600 for delivery. I do know some people that picked theirs up to save on the delivery fee
When do you have to do maintenance on the car? Every 20k miles? Is there a dealership near you or do they send someone to come to your home like Lucid?
@Ocean1_FSR there is a maintenance schedule, I have looked into the manual. Every 6000 miles : diagnostic, check tires, refill windshield washer fluid; break fluid Every 24.000 miles or 2 years which comes first.
Yes, and no. Let me explain. It can be done and will be done. Henrik has verified this. However, last he told me was that it wasn't a high priority at the moment as some countries it's actually illegal so they will introduce later. I don't know how much later, later is though, but it can be done.
My best guess is that the Ocean would have that within the next 3-6 months. Currently, I use a dash cam and look forward to that being implemented. Great question.
Hey firehawk. Just wondering why you blocked me on Stocktwits?! I never had an issue with you at all and always appreciated your insights. Not sure what happened. - pootownusa
As long as they don’t adopt NACS, it won’t be a viable options since Electrify America charging stations are fewer and in worse conditions than tesla superchargers.
@@hardtennisthat would be too confusing with the drive modes already on that stalk. You could erroneously shift into neutral thinking you were switching regen to another level.
Range depends on the three Ts. Terrain, Technique, and Temperature. Having said that if your speeds are 55 or less without hard, fast acceleration, you will easily meet or beat the range. The faster you drive above 55 the less range you will get. I drove 382 miles on 90% of the battery with 43 miles of range left. That was with easy driving.
This is the worst car review that I've seen on youtube. After wasting 3.5 minutes watching the guy going in circles and salivating about meaningless lights all around the car, I quit. Nothing important or substantial, but lights! This is a vehicle, not a Christmas Tree! If you want that many lights, get yourself an 18-wheeler and dress it up.
Don’t know. Design is okay. Inside cheap looking plastic. Power? Well it’s electric. Nothing new since Tesla. Guess the biggest problem is the software, still.
Seems like a troll post. Inside blows Tesla away. Power? 564 HP with boost. Nothing new? Solar Roof, not fixed like the Tesla, providing a convertible feel along with about 4-5 miles of range per day. All windows roll down including the doggie windows. Taco trays for both driver and passenger. No problems at all actually.
After 3,,000 miles, there is nothing that looks or feels cheap about it. It's subjective though so if you like something better that is what you should buy. Everyone I have shown it to or given a ride in it has come away very impressed.

It will also have automatic lane centering and lane change capabilities and even "park" your car. You can pull into a mall or something and it can scan for open parking spaces. Hope this helps.
What is the lifespan of the battery pack and what is the replacement cost?
Almost impossible to answer. The battery should last the life of the vehicle. If it were to fail it has a 10 year/100k warranty, after that it's anyone's guess.
Had mine one week, great power, solid if not a little heavy steering. Some high tech features. On the down side, very raw software with lots of glitches. One key fob and if you lose it, no other way to get into car and turn off and on? The website has no functionality(like my EV-6). Need some work to clean up glitches. No auto hold, no adaptive cruise control, guess this is what you get with first roll out.
no auto hold or adaptive cruise control…..do you driver the car or do the car drives you? these are features for women not men
“A few software quirks that should be fixed…”
YMMV
I am super satisfied with this car. And everything is being addressed. Most things are very very minor

Did the suspension changes when you switched to different driving modes?
No, they stay the same
great review👍
Great video. Thanks for the tour. Do You have 1.11 yet?😊
No, I still have 1.1.27
Then you are in store for great improvements - the OS 1.10 was a great leap forward and the OS 1.11 update adds features which we have been missing. In 1Q24 we are promised some more material updates which we have been waiting for e.g. one-pedal driving, adaptive cruise control, torque vectoring, etc
Those flat seats look incredibly uncomfortable… how well do they sit?
Incredibly well. My daughters prefer them over our CX9
@@Ocean1_FSR Good to know. Thanks.
Extremely interesting car.
This may be a dumb question: how does one test drive this car? The Fisker web site is pretty flakey - when I thought I was arranging for a test drive, I seem to have simply added myself to their mailing list :-(
Currently, you have to be close enough to a center + for a test drive or find one of their pop up events locally. Keep trying 💪
Fisker Electrified Tour coming to 11 US States and 17 Cities in Feb / March 2024
@Ocean1_FSR if you ordered and received the car yes you should know how much was delivery charge. Take a look again.
Power is with any EV. Model Y performance can pin you back too
That is true, but the Ocean is cooler when it does it 🥚
When do you have to do maintenance on the car? Every 20k miles? Is there a dealership near you or do they send someone to come to your home like Lucid?
There is no scheduled maintenance. EVs are mostly maintenance free. Warranty work comes to you with a tech.
@Ocean1_FSR there is a maintenance schedule, I have looked into the manual. Every 6000 miles : diagnostic, check tires, refill windshield washer fluid; break fluid Every 24.000 miles or 2 years which comes first.
Nice. 😊 now clean it
😆, we do not baby our Ocean. We use it.
Before the 1930s Depression, there were over 1600 car companies. By 1950, there may have been 7! Is this going to happen to EV companies?
it already has been for 20 years...
Eh there's no option to change the LED colors? How does it look like on the inside with just ambient light on?
which model is this? sorry if i missed it in the video! Sport, Extreme?
It's an Ocean One.
nice piece, by any chance you are a share holder? do you own any fisker stocks?
Yes, I am invested in Fisker.
Does Molly fit in the back?
Yes, we just recently purchased a harness for her and plan to road trip with her this summer.
What about the softness of suspension? Tesla’s was really hard and bumpy.
Great question. It's baby bear. It's not super soft but it's not firm at all. It's a great compromise. Rides better than our 2021 Mazda CX9
It's great to see more of these on the road. Regarding power you should test drive Rivian R1, Lucid Air or Tesla Plaid ;)
Agree with the power of others, but if you’re ready to loose some extra $30-40k !
@@anwarjaffery8147 yes, Fisker is very similar to your model performance, Mach e gt and Kia ev 6 gt. More power requires more $$$
Amazing
Great car, also good review, I bet you you can get it used in a year for less than 40K, it stands no chance with the tech of TESLA. (Autopilot)
Not sure what this response is supposed to be. I will say this though. I offered my wife a Model Y. You see what we drive. 😆🎉💪
Are you going to sell it now that Fisker has come bankrupt?
Sold everything this morning except my leaps (which are worthless) and my Roth shares. It's over.
Oh, you meant the car. I will keep it and hope for the best. Car is amazing but resale value just crashed.
@Ocean1_FSR At this point of time, buying anything except a Tesla is a gamble.. Tough luck, my man!
@Ocean1_FSR Ahh yes, I meant the car, not the stock. I was curious who bought the car off of you 😅 Nevermind that now..
Your Fisker has depreciated by 75% at this point…no bueno.
Probably more than that 😆
Do you know if there are any sentry mode cameras in Fisker? I am so used to my Model X ( Tesla), I feel that nothing comes close to it.
Are you planning on keeping your car or dumping it asap? I hear people are getting offers for $30k now.
I would love to keep it if I knew I could get it serviced
@@Ocean1_FSR so you are going to sell or just seeing how things play out?
@@youlikeitiloveit3747 I couldn't sell right now if I wanted. I still don't have my registration.
think your light is worth more than the stock now. style and class but bankrupt.
Hey firehawk. Just wondering why you blocked me on Stocktwits?! I never had an issue with you at all and always appreciated your insights. Not sure what happened. - pootownusa
No idea. But I unblocked you just then.
As long as they don’t adopt NACS, it won’t be a viable options since Electrify America charging stations are fewer and in worse conditions than tesla superchargers.
This post makes zero sense as written. Should probably reword.
@@Ocean1_FSRedited
Doesn't have build in security cameras like the Tesla cars no dash camera
Actually it does. They're just not active yet
Interior looks very unkept.
Love my Ocean but we need brake regeneration modes to work on the right lever. Any one mentioning this at Fisker?
Actually, I don't understand the question/statement. We have three modes and they all work fine.
@@Ocean1_FSR i said control the brake regeneration without going to the screen... Not the driving modes.
@@hardtennisthat would be too confusing with the drive modes already on that stalk. You could erroneously shift into neutral thinking you were switching regen to another level.
@@memyselfundeye that’s why neutral should be taken off when you downshift. Only regen levels downshifting. Understand now ?
@@hardtennis condescend much?
Are you getting the published 340 miles range per charge? Or is it close to that?
What range u getting
Range depends on the three Ts. Terrain, Technique, and Temperature. Having said that if your speeds are 55 or less without hard, fast acceleration, you will easily meet or beat the range. The faster you drive above 55 the less range you will get. I drove 382 miles on 90% of the battery with 43 miles of range left. That was with easy driving.
@@Ocean1_FSR that range u getting is great for an EV
3k miles on temp plates?
Yes, received our Ocean on Nov 3rd.
It’s called the ocean 🌊 yet it doesn’t go in the ocean 🌊 it goes on road hmmmmm
you had to buy a dash cam...
Yes, unfortunately, the Ocean can't use it's cameras yet to record. It will be able to, just not yet.
@@Ocean1_FSR software “should improve”
That's the dirtiest car I've seen that still has a temporary tag on it. It probably won't last long if that's how it looks within 30 days.
😆, I have put over 4,000 miles on it.
Ocean made from recycled materials, strong HP performance, top range and battery capacity, battery swapping, solar roofs, entertainment center.
Looks cheap
After 3,,000 miles, there is nothing that looks or feels cheap about it. It's subjective though so if you like something better that is what you should buy. Everyone I have shown it to or given a ride in it has come away very impressed.
