Guthrie Bluejays vs. Tulsa Washington 2002 - 5A State Championship

December 2002 - After 100 years of football the Bluejays finally win the State Championship defeating Felix Jones, Robert Meachem and Booker T. Washington at Lewis Field in Stillwater, 16-13. The first of their now four championships. Prior to coach Rafe Watkins arrival, Guthrie HS was known more for their band excellence than football. Now the Bluejays are a powerhouse in 5A football.
