I agree with Penelope. I did successfully count the number of times that Anna jumped the rope while also noticing the woman walk past in the background. However I just thought it was someone in the background wearing a religious head scarf. Just like there were random passers by in the first trial

I even have noticed that (in my opinion) the cars in the background in the first video were driving really fast.

I knew there was someone working but I didn’t think it was a hotdog
I found out it is easier to count if you slightly defocus, and rely on your subconcious.
During the shell game, I stare into the middle of the area and rely on my peripherals. The only time it fails, is when they are dishonest. (Slight of hand shell swapping)
I was looking at the man the whole time and didn’t know what he was or what he was doing. I still got the right answer though
While knowing it's a selective attention test, I payed so much attention that while counting the times that guy was kicking the ball I thought I had spotted a police chase LOL
it kinda ruins the fun cause once you see selective attention test you dont count anything and all you focus about is whats in the backround its like seeing a movie more than once it gets boring
i didnt count shit at all cause i was focused on trying to see the man walking in the bakcround
i was just like fuck the counting rofl
i think this was easy for me because you can just observe the rest of the screen as you count seeing the ball or the rope with "side view" or whatever. the cups were up close so i feel it'd be hard to miss anything anyway?
all i had to do was count the jump rope by tapping my hand each time she jumped, but the hotdog person in the background was so obvious that it didn't even matter.
in selective attention there are task that they are talking about like stroop task and flanker task, so what kind of task is this? i really need it for our thesis and also can i have a copy of your research to add it on our related study?
I saw the hot dog, but couldn't see the front of the costume clearly enough to identify it as a costume, so thought I was just looking at a brown overcoat & pink-dyed hair.

I’ve been working on my selective attention and now I can see other things in the background and still get hits close to the correct number I counted 38 on the first one
I saw the hot dog. I also noticed that it looked like there was a street race between a red truck and a black car in the first one lol... also got all the numbers right

Last test was way-to-easy: you just need to use your peripheral vision+your main (just like if you were look something before the girl jumping the rope). You can count the jumps and see the hot dog at the same time :D still a great video anyway ^O^

I saw the hot dog and guessed the numbers . i figured out the Rythm and used it to count while not looking closely and for the cups one .. i did not even think something can change and i to not figure it out while looking clearly at all 3 cups paying attention to where they all move

Ok, I've got to admit it: I didn't see the walking hot dog. I was expecting some kind of trick from the girls playing the rope.

mmmmm...I guess this attempts to remodel the gorilla walking through the basketball players test. That works owing to the need to track the ball over the width of the screen which demands concentrated focus and the limited colour contrast in the set up. Unfortunately the rope jump has relatively static participants and vivid unique colours so the guy walking left to right in the background is glaringly obvious.

I saw it but it just looked like a walker, it didn’t look like a hotdog costume in the slightest, sorry this doesn’t count as an awareness test.

It was easy because when you take the rythm of the jumps and you can do 2 thing at the same time like me and other people, the test wasn't hard.
