I noticed everything, every little detail on that video, and didn't miss a thing, i feel so great with my attentions level, i feel like nothing can pass through my visions, i feel like sauron from lord of the rings, but then i realize that my house was on fire during the video and not feel so powerfull after all
Hahahaha. I only noticed the rope people switching, and didn't notice any of the other stuff. Who knows what my brain was doing...
I noticed that there was a chicken and they swapped the ones who turned the ropes but not the background.
You didn't count the jumps.

good job, you missed the point about a fascinating neurological phenomenon called selective attention. The "gotcha" at the end was a little gimmicky, probably just due to the effect it might have on making people want to watch more of these videos. The brain is a wonderful and mysterious place that is great to learn about!

It just shows us the power of suggestion. We have a wide field of vision but a narrow field of concentration. The question forces our brain the interpret the data it receives in a specific order. Just word games not visual trickery. You wouldn't be able to remember anything in the vid if he'd asked you to spot the big blue elephant. Did nobody see the elephant?
Hehe did anyone watch the vid again to see if I'm right. If you did then my points proven. My suggestion force your brain to disregard all it had seen to try and find an elephant. :)

Ironically, I only paid attention to the colour changing wall cause I was furious at there false claims of this being a spatial awarness exercise. It turned out to be about selective attention. Touchè.
actually, spatial awareness is interchangeable with spatial attention. Since overt attention involves our vision, this is both a spatial awareness and selective attention test/activity. Still super cool!

This particular mind training game “nonu amazing only” (Google it) entertains me considerably! They`re extremely tough and I hope taking part in these games help enhance my ability to remember and focus. Surprising thing was, the whole household ended up having fun with this game, and moving my phone around!
But the swapped rope turners was the one thing I DID catch!
unbelievable! i never saw the chicken or the changing colors of the background or the swap-out of the rope turners. and he never even said how many times the girls in green jumped, but i guess that was not really the point of the game. haha!

Wow, wow, wow!!! He told us to count how many jumps the green team would make and not to focus and on something else simultanesously!!! If he had told us, to count and observe the changes at the background, maybe, just maybe, we would have been able to do them both... Yes, I know, the human brain can only focus on one thing at a time... I am just saying!
Agreed.. why would he want us to focus on counting the jumps and then start in on us for not paying attention on other stuff.
@@snoxbox to prove the effect of selective attention! If he had told you to focus on everything, not only would you have missed something anyways, but it would have completely undermined the attempt to teach about selective attention in the first place.

@@seyramagudu5237 Yeah, humans can only perceive and interpret informations that they deemed necessary or significant particularly when they are following an instruction. You'll block out any unnecessary stimuli to focuses on the the targeted stimuli/information that you are instructed to perceive.

@@kileyrushforth9233 He has his time. As the show goes on, it transtions more to expirements and more fun than serious. Brain games tried to strike a balance between family show and documentary. I'm rewatching on Disney+ and season 2 was his greatest season. They replaced him with Eric Lecerc In season 4 and 5 but I think It was a good choice. They wanted entertainment. Apollo was all serious.
