    It seems to be much easier with the post mini 2's because of the collar on the motors to align the props and hold them in place while you screw them in, my mini 2 se doesn't have them and I always change both props on any arm because IMO at the speed they are turning if the leading edge of one prop strikes something it's safe to assume that the other has even though it might not (yet) show signs of any damage. I bought a 5" Phillips #0 screwdriver, and it works very well.

    • @JTechWP
      @JTechWP  Před měsícem

      Changing both props is good practice, they are pretty cheap to replace and its better than risking the drone falling from the sky :)

  • @DMfotoNI

    Awaiting the arrival of some I already purchase off Amazon, after a 'turtle incident' on a church roof, that resulted in the drone sitting upside on said roof for a full night, in the rain. The drone is now fully functional after some drying out, just waiting on the props to arrive today. Great and simple video. Thanks.

    Clean, smooth leading and trailing edges ensure your flight configuration. I just changed mine out for the second time. The first time was a result of rooky operator error. The second, just maintenance. You will be surprised how much attrition occurs simply from tiny blades of grass. I am opting for hand launching more and more often now. I think too that the rubber tips are prone to damage simply from stowing in a case and the rubbing and touching that occur when you prep it or fold it. The best way to maintain them would be to never fold them but a little unrealistic for the majority of people.

    I find the screws rather small/fiddley with my eyesight/glasses and hand size; I wouldn't want to replace propellors in the field. For ease/speed , and to avoid a screw cross thread , I first place a screw in the propellor, hold it there with the screwdriver while lowering the whole assembly (vertically) onto the motor shaft and then tighten.

    The screws were tightened by DJI in the factory far too tight. I just tried to unscrew with the supplied screwdriver and it's useless. Why couldn't DJI use the same method they had on the original Mavic Pro, where you didn't even need a screwdriver.

    • @ericsalidbar1693
