- This series is all about video game characters who have left me in awe at their power, whether it's the ability to survive a boulder falling on their head, colossal earth-shattering strength, sheer dominance over the game they're in, etc.
For the seventeenth episode, we're taking a look at another Pokemon spin-off game, Pokemon Conquest.

Am I only one who was amused by Conquest Arceus being compared to a character who is named Ash?
OH i see what you did there....
"He has his most loyal warlords by his side!"
Umm, Mitsuhide kinda betrayed and killed Nobunaga... he was not exactly the most loyal person.
Et tu Mitsuhide?
Tragic determination
Nobu? Nobu!
Which is probably why he’s the ice type, to counter nobunaga’s dragons
Also in this game, he betrayed Nobunaga for a 'simple' reason (and surprisingly, his 'betrayal' action got respected by Nobunaga)
.
.
.
Well, this game have a 'family-friendly' stories. So, yeah..
The land is in Arceus's shape, lol.
of course.. thats like... the thing
This is the first time I have seen anyone even acknowledge conquest, let alone like it. Such an underrated game.
I know Right? Its my fav pokemon spinoff
Everyone forgets about it because it released for the original DS the same year that Fire Emblem Awakening came out for 3DS.
NOBU TIER CONTENT
I still find it my favorite of all Pokémon games in 2019. Still waiting for a Pokémon Conquest non-mainstream anime though
I LOVED IT!
10:29 "And so, We Fainted!"
Nice one Whoisthisgit xD
Gokuless I know
Explain for I am a fool
@@justas423 The Bidoof had the Nickname: "And so we"
This is likely for gags like: "And so we used *Insert move name here*"
"And so we gained experience."
"And so we fainted"
@@StarlightMagician WHZZEZZZZZ
"And so, we fainted!" Clearly the best thing i saw in pokemon.
What would mega-evolution do for Arceus, anyway? Get 255 in every stat and have Protean?
Oh boy.....
255.
I see what you did there.
Yup. 255 is a highest stat a Pokemon can have because math stuff
Nah, it would be a primal reversion.
Not even Rayquaza got more than 100 base stat increase after mega evolving, heck, no mega evolution that boosts the HP exists.
Just look at Primal Groudon...
By the way, 255 in every stat is broken, even for AG tier.
Let´s just say a 255 base Pokémon would have HP comparable to Blissey, defenses higher than Registeel and Mega Aggron (more than 546) speed that makes Deoxys Speed and Ninjask look like a joke (546) and attack and spattack of 600.
Now, with an modest nature, this broken thing has 669 on the special attack.
As for a damage calculation,
252+ SpA Fist Plate Arceus Judgment vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Eviolite Chansey: 338-402 (48 - 57.1%) -- 90.6% chance to 2HKO
Possible damage amounts: (338, 344, 348, 350, 356, 360, 362, 368, 372, 374, 380, 384, 386, 392, 396, 402)
This thing would sweep anything that´s not called Rattata or Taillow.
Wait, it can learn Extreme Speed...
ARCEUS IS THE GOD OF PKMN FOR A REASON!
Celebrate is galeforce.
Galeforce (in FE 13) literally gives you 3 turns in one...
If you pair two galeforce users together you can clear maps almost as quickly as an infinite warp staff
Game: Ever 17: The Out of Infinity - 2002. What the fuck?
+whoisthisgit A visual novel...that's CZcams for you. Speaks for itself.
+whoisthisgit Sounds like 2000: A Space Odyssey.
+whoisthisgit You summarized the game so well I paused the video, got an app for emulators on my phone for the nds played the whole game and kept on watching like a week later.
+whoisthisgit Is Conquest so obscure that CZcams Gaming doesn't even know it? Man, pathetic.
If you played through the Dragon Quest Zenithian Trilogy, all the way to the superbosses, i'm sure you would be able to find the next powerful character. Or Dragon Quest 9... or 8...
And then you don't get a chance to use Arceus again until the very last postgame mission...
But then you can stack him with the most overpowered item in the game, the Guardian Charm, send him into battle alone, and be completely invincible to everything except time limits.
Without Arceus that battle would be a nigthmare, but it's interesting try the battle with just your normal team
+Loru Fangs
On the main quest + it's totally doable, especially if you grabbed Mewtwo while unlocking it. Having a Gothitelle also helps thaks to future sight's 2*3 hitbox.
Hexidecimark ohh that is interesting, i have to try that
Loru Fangs
Just be careful, Gothitelle SUCKS at low levels, so it can be hard to improve her after a reset.
You guys are all being so technical and everything, years ago I didn't care about stats or anything (silly me) and played this, my team beat this level without using Arceus much. As in like double slap Jigglypuff wrecking everyone somehow.
+A butterfly on top of that this was my first Pokemon game... Good 'ol days when I thought Rayquaza was actually black as a non shiny
My only complaint about Pokemon Conquest was the... "post game"
Like I thought it was an interesting way to unlock the special pokemon for all the characters, but... Once I'd beaten all the necessary ones to do the "second" play through of the main story, it felt... empty, like it was more annoying to get to that point than rewarding
+Scott Moyers I would have preferred it if the game was like the first campaign, only much, much longer. I found it frustrating to have to build up from 0% bond each time.
+whoisthisgit
Same, and then some of those missions were impossible on their own. Just... argh
you can cheese the easy campaigns by memorizing who gets what specific characters and give them a Dragon mon as their starter (especially in the beginning of the long missions/the whole story of quickie missions) That's because Gible/Dratini/Axew have Dragon rage... and ohko ANY and EVERY mon in the early stage :P Axew especially cause it normally has Mold breaker.
Personally if you want to train a lot of people up my recommendation is to go for the first "Collect 100 pokemon" mission.
just make sure that you STOP collecting 100 pokemon and level the main characters up to promotion. After you do that beat a golden enemy and you get them at their best... win a battle with them and you instantly record (and usually evolve the pokemon they were using)
After about 4-5 hours of cheating that way I got almost every main warlord to promotion with the exception of Nobunga... and I think a few others... but it was usefull having Kanbei and Hanbei promoted.. as I then flew immediately into Hideshoris campaign and let him stand aside as his lieutenants koed everything
(Chandelure is great and in fact can usually solo the normal kingdom... due to fire spin and your close proximity)
Oichi was my best because I gave her a glaceon to destroy everything. The glaceon recruits ranmaru, ranmaru uses his lucario, and ice+fighting recruits a lot of pokemon
Ron the Auraknight
Also 100 Pokémon is kind of tricky... sometimes a cornered kingdom refuses to attack, and you have to make sure not to delegate search or you lose. Also, if you see see a warrior you want but you already have 90 some pokemon, too bad.
My strategy for rank ups was to take 9 kingdoms to anger the enemy, then send three units to avia to bait an attack. Send a flying unit to the north island and stand on the jump pad so that my units could jump from the cliff to the island rather than the landmass. Move off of the jump pad so no enemies could do the same, wait them out. Repeat until level 60 whatever you want.
And it was VEEERY slow
I like pokémon conquest, but funnily enough, I beat nobunga with the main character using Jolteon. JOLTEON FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!
Edit. I didn't beat zekorm using jolteon, I just beat the game when the main charcater's pokémon was jolteon when beating zekrom. Although I hate the dragonair user, his healing skill caused me to lose the first time. Grrrr. Curse you healing skills!
First,edit is a thing within comments.Second:Its Ranmaru
I actually beat him first try with Vaporeon... but that's kinda cheating since Vaporeon is actually the best of the eeveeloutions... (Vaporeon has Hydro pump and high movement.)
Flareon all the way! Umbreon is definitely the worst in conquest, but I feel glaceon might be the best.
JDP Craft So did I
Did you know that Nobunaga, Hideyoshi and Ideyasu were actual warlords in the sengoku jidai, the japanese civil war from around 1300-1400.
I think he knows
Everyone is this game was an actual warrior
...except for the player, i assume
And except Kunoishi (that Scraggy warrior)
@@goatnorth1247 the male protagonist in his level 2 Warlord have a slight similarity appereance with Nagamasa in Samurai Warriors

I loved you did a full episode on Pokemon Conquest, my FAVORITE GAME OF ALL TIME!
This video actually got me into conquest…., speaking of a while back I was lucky enough to come across a copy of the game after a friend gave away some of their games!
Well, now Pokémon Legends Arceus brings the Legend Plate, which changes Arceus' type to an advantageous one whenever it uses Judgment, whose type also changes to match it. That might not be Mega Arceus, but I suppose the combination of STAB, super effectiveness and likely resistance/immunity is as good as one in singles.
Judgement itself becomes broken - an effectively 150 BP move that's always super-effective (or doubly super-effective, if possible). And with Arceus changing types on their own while attacking, it becomes a game of analysis and prediction, as Arceus changes the type, prioritizing (starting from the most important factor): effectiveness of the attack's type, resisting of opponent's primary type, then resisting of opponent's secondary type. Either you predict correctly and switch into resist, or brought Pokemon will take lots of damage, if not faint outright. Even with that in mind, in order to brought Pokemon to deal with Arceus, it needs to outspeed it, which isn't easy as Arceus has 120 Base Speed, and lots of fast Pokemon are also frail; Scarf is also an option, but if opposing players knows your Pokemon is scarfed, it will probably switch Arceus out.
In summation, if Legend Plate was introduced officially and inserted into Showdown, Arceus would've probably landed to AG (or at least Legend Arceus).
9:55 and then people are gonna say "GIT PREDICTED POKEMON"
That final boss music is just awesome, it alone makes me wanna play the game.
WHAT? NOBUNAGA HAS A SHINY RAQUAZA? HE MUST HAVE CHEATED! (that little swine!)
that lifeless soft resetter
Ironically, even Mega Rayquaza wouldn't have made a difference against Conquest Arceus, since it only has one 180 stat and Conquest Arceus,if it were back in a regular Pokémon game, would probably have 184 and 186 stats all around.
Guess Arceus got bored of 120 Avatars.
I'd really like to see Mega Arceus with that Omnipotent ability
If you play showdown and enjoy every other battle not having Arceus in it, you certainly would not want to see it.
It would maybe make a good hidden ability though.
Omg, conquest! I litterally memorised all of the pokemons crys and I can still remember them
10:32
_And, so we fainted!_
Nice one dude 😆😂
Pokemon, Fire Emblem this channel covers a lot of games I lovr
Best pokemon game because you start with an Eevee.
This
+Sato XD: Gale of Darkness would like a word with you, son.
+Sato There's a rom hack by the name of pokemon discovery for pokemon emerald where you start with an Eevee
Aidan Smith Is it good?
SeiMadou Pupuru
In that game you start with an Espeon or Umbreon right? Not really the same thing
i wanted to get this game very badly so thanks for making me relive the dream
really like these Most powerful vidoes man, they are awesome!!! please continue the good work, any idea when the next one is coming? i can hardly wait, are you planning to ever alk about Luca Blight?
ayyy, new video.
I remember being really excited to get Pokémon Conquest around when it first came out I think
I Played Conquest a long time ago it was a great game, but i never stop thinking about Arceus ability, i hope the 7th Gen of Pokemon Includes Mega-Arceus or the Remake of Sinnoh Games introduce it, nice vid!
honestly, Arceus wouldn't get a mega. it would get a primal
SOMEONE KNOWS ABOUT CONQUEST
I AM NOW HAPPY
Mitsuhide with a Lapras.... That is very amusing to me.
I have never lost the final battle, so I dont even know what happens if you lose
I still have this game and I still like it
Pokemon conquest is one of my favourite games
I struggled so much with this game when I first got it. And even now, when I have Reshiram, I still struggle with capturing all the kingdoms. I love it when a game gives me a good challenge like this, especially a Pokemon game.
But that Zekrom... that isn’t the kind of challenge I like. My definition of a good challenge is not getting easily demolished repeatedly.
When Nobunaga has a Shiny and you've never found one, like, EVER.
Omg this game was so good I missed this game and I wish I could play it once more
I LITERALLY THOUGHT THE TITLE OF THE GAME WAS POKEMON GUNQUEST
I was wondering when you would have talked about Pokémon Conquest, being the perfect crossover for you, now I see the time has finally come. And as soon as MegaArceus will be announced I'll let you know ;)
Dragorosso95 Two years, still no sign of the mega god.
4 years, mega has gone bye bye
No mega still, but now Judgement with the Legend plate allows Arceus to change type mid-battle and make its attack super-effective.
+whoisthisgit
Thank you so much for showing this game! Now I can prove that other people like the game. I don't know why so many people dislike it. It kinda reminds me of a more fair Pokemon FE without permadeath.
On second thought, that sounds nothing like certain FE titles.
Memories I Played That Game Cuz Its Like Fire Emblem Pokemon Themed I Finished The Game And I Stopped Cuz I Cant Do Anything Man Thanks For This Memorial Game You Made
I think the only way that particular battle would be really challenging would be if Sturm somehow showed up as a warrior. That wouldn't be fun
POKEMON CONQUEST WAS MY CHILDHOOD
lol I actually remember beating all of the enemys in that last castle, and I used jolteon, but of course, stupid skill of dragonair user that heals all hp made me run out of turns first time through. Even though the dragonair was the last one standing.
Thanks for that think of it as Mario on super steroids now I can't stop thinking about buffsuki
guys, if in the main series pokemon games, Arceus could learn every move, like Mew, and could hodl 2 plates to dual type, combined with its broken stats, then you have every pokemon in existence without their ability
let the battle begin
My first, and favorite Pokemon game.
I love this game!
Arceus is strong enough to solo the entire last fight without using warrior skills.
I just cheesed the final fight by bringing just Oichi and the Hero, sacrificing Wigglytuff, and activating my Guardian Charm and solo'd it because my first hit was a Critical on Rayquaza
FYI: When the last Pokémon standing on your team has this item, their Range gets boosted by 1 and Attack, Defense, AND Speed get a massive boost. Long story short, Arceus goes from being really powerful to being able to solo the entire second postgame story for your hero and hardly ever breaking a sweat
This game looks very interesting!!!
I actually have a suggestion for the most powerful characters series. Would you like to hear it?
+Sidar Erdem oh no. The Telethia of Demise from Xenobkade Chronicles X(Wii U).
I. Love. This. Game. I played through it like 17 times XD
This is the game that helped me get into Fire Emblem.
The question here is... will Mega Arceus be powerful enough to dethrone Mega Rayquaza as the most broken and OP pokemon ever? Because let's remember that Mega Rayquaza requiered a new tier for Itself alone, as Uber was too weak for It.
With a BST of 820 of it mega evolves, it just might. They'll probably raise its attacking stats and speed stat, as its defenses is already superior to almost any other legendary.
We finally got our answer in Legends: Arceus. It doesn't even need to go mega, because Judgement now changes ype on its own to ALWAYS be super effective.
@@rcmastergamer1800 Legend Plate is one scary item but... if it turns Arceus into ice... well, let's say M-Ray can probably tank one hit thanks to Delta Stream, and I'm not sure if Arceus can tank one V-Create from M-Ray with a life orb or something similar (Weaness Policy is also good candidate). And if it can, it probably won't have enough hp to tank a extreme speed. It depends, really, on if "just" x2 damage (x3 really, thanks to STAB) is enough to oneshot M-Ray.
Legend's Arceus is a scary mon, none-the-less, I'd put him on the same level as M-Ray and C-Zacian.
He is hated because he loves gen 5. I feel your pain
Not only does Arceus not have a mega evolution, he is not exactly available in any of the games anymore without mystery gift, and the event to get Arceus in the 4th gen games is no longer available because getting a flute and going to a certain spot to use it is way more difficult than literally having to search up how to read Braille in order to follow simple instructions just so you can get big golems made of rock, ice and steel. Thanks, Nintendo.
Now imagine Pokemon Conquest with Sengoku Basara designs for generals!
While this comment is too little too late, I noticed omnipotent also has nomad rolled into it as well. An ability that powers up attacks depending on how much they move.
can we just mention the shiny rayquaza like thats the biggest flex
In my original playthrough of Conquest, my Arceus died in the middle of the match but, I still managed to beat Nobunaga.
9:56 sadly not yet, but it would be dope
I like when games are like: "Ok! This is the final battle!" "You have won! Now go forth to the TRUE final battle!" "You have truly won, but now you must face... THE TRUE REaLLY TRUE TRULY TRUE TRUE FINAL BATTLE!" "Ok, you've finally won the game! But wait..."
Git, can you make more advance wars videos? Just suggestin because i really enjoyed those
Oh, yeah! Those were awesome! And the reason why I started to play Advance Wars in the first place

+Minrod Vils (The night gamer) What's an airport again?
Mousegold FiveK Best line in any video game ever. Right next to "This is the trash Can. Feel free to visit it anytime"
+FreezyCastform My reason too lol
5:05 the map looks like arceus
God I love this game.
I have a recommendation for Most Powerful characters in gaming ever-Dinoceros from Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. He's hard to find, but once you do, you've practically just won the game then and there. By the end of the game, he has attack and defense almost twice as high as the 2nd best familiars in those areas. In fact, if you train him up to his full potential, he can have nearly 600 attack! He shrugs off every physical move like its nothing, even super effective attacks do about 1 damage. His only weakness is his only average magical stats, but it won't matter, as everything will die before it gets to use any magic on him. Even the final boss has trouble with him.
Are you going to make another video but with the Reshiram battle???
You linked with the LEGENDARY Pokemon?
You Make Me Angry, Conquest!
Nobunaga was a pushover for me, since I had Glaceon at that point. It was Ranmaru that gave me the most trouble with his heal all adjacent allies ability, Empathy. Empathy gave me more grief than anything else, and having to deal with it so many times was just painful.
I evolved my Eevee into glaceon Tobe a better match against Nobunaga and because is my second favorite eeveelution
I need to play this game
If mega arceus was a thing it still can’t beat the power of a lvl 1 bidoof
OMG! I played dis game! It was pretty good!
I'm pretty sure that Ash Lambert can beat Arceus without worry .I don't remember seeing people use items as a skill with unlimited uses.
If Arceus can be caught (or linked) by a kid, i cannot consider it as the strongest being of the universe(s)
+Titan78990 While I do agree with you about the main games, in Conquest, if you read the dialogue from the cutscene which was briefly shown in the video, you can see that Arceus ASKS the protagonist to Link with it.
It didn't get its mind overpowered or whatever, the protagonist is literally the only character in the game who can link with Arceus, because Arceus allows him/her to as the chosen hero. And then... *SPOILERS*
***
***
It promptly leaves the protagonist just after this battle because Arceus judges that peace has been returned to the land and the protagonist isn't mature enough to handle its power, so it just leave on its own, which not any single Pokémon even in this game can do, may I remind you.
+Seeker of All Formulas Oh I hadn't thought of that, sry.
Titan78990 No need to apologize, you couldn't possibly have known if you didn't play the game until the very end, or at all, for that matter.
TheWindArcher they also look very young, I'd say their mid twenties max.
İts abilite's name is enough to beat him
I kind of expected Conquest Judgenent to be like Plasma Wave... Well, it's still awesome.
*Judgement
I'm not too much of a fan of Fire Emblem but I do like Pokemon. Should I get this game?
mmerc 10 this is not really fire emblem related but sengoku related, but its already passed 1 month but i do reccomend you to play this game
Don't forget to include negative man from Mother 3.
He uses psychologically weakening attacks on the player himself by sobbing and moaning.
He attacks with devastating damage, removing as much as 1 hp (holy crap)!
His body is shaped somewhat like a minus sign--a terrifying symbol that brings to mind arithmetic.
10/10 Most impossible boss fight in gaming history EVER
You really need to look on Disgaea series where the characters can be ridicilously OP.
For a powerful character check out the ring master arena challenge in Lost Odyssey. Only the three star ranking version though cause it's actually an easy challenge unless you try to three star it He's one of the most powerful characters in the game and the only reason you are even capable of beating him is that he doesn't attack you until certain conditions are met. The optional final boss is hard too but what do you expect from a JRPG easy optional final bosses? Also if you've never played Lost Odyssey I highly recommend it.
Arceus Avoiding a lucario's Aurasphere... MKAAAAAAY
I love the fire emblem style of conquest
Oh yeah just get an excadrill and murder nobunaga and zekrom it works.
The movement degeneration from evolution pissed me off to absolute hell. E.g, charmander has 4 mov, charmeleon has 3, and charizard(Charizard! Who freaking clies!) has a mere 2.
guess who has a perfect Link with Charizard that would like to have a little talk with you?
Uuuuuh.... that guy that starts with a tepig and is from terraria? Two move is still horrendous, even if you have a perfect link.
Ragnorok x Willpower.
AND Typhoon,Thunderclap,Furin Kazan and kendhin rank 2's warrior skill
Temporary solutions, still. I'm not saying charizard is bad, its just horrendous design that you lose so much range. Also, I personally really enjoy last bastion + guardian charm charizard. Can solo basically any castle as long as he isn't at low power late game.
I heard this game was good. I should really get around to playing it...
The most strongest Pokémon (as of 2020):
Hatterene
Because it’s Pokédex say if someone bring high emotion to it it will silence them violently
Basically vibe check pokemon
Especially PokePark 2, he handed me my ass a ton of times.
I really wonder why this was a DS game when the 3DS was out for a year
If there's a Spinoff for the China boys. Cao Cao should be OP to represent him being the best ROTK army in the series.
I have been wanting this ever since conquest came out. get MA boys Zhang Fei, Liu Bei and Guan Yu some super powerful grass types.
And so, we fainted.
I see what you did there.
I played Pokémon Conquest and training up eevee in nixtorm, the ice type kingdom until it evolves in to glaceon is an amazing strategy. Icy wind rips right through his entire army in the first battle and has a chance to inflict the freeze status. Getting to that point is a challenge, but it is entirely worth it. Try it out, whoisthsgit! Tell me what you think!
0:08 BUT CAN YOU SEE WHY CHILDREN LOVE CINNAMON TOAST CRUNCH!?
I want this to be a spin off series like the mystery dungeon games!
Does somebody kow if theres some updates to Pokemon Adventures manga?, to be exact. The BnW2?
We will not likely get Mega Arceus, since his whole gimmick is the plates, and turning mega would need to use a mega stone. I hope he doesn't eat a meteorite.
If anything, they'd probably give it an ability that lets it be any type under specific circumstances.
How about Arceus against Dheginsea? that would be fkd up
