  • It is the reason for the colorful diversity on our planet. And it is probably the most important element of evolution: speciation! The process behind takes up to several million years. At the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin we research it - worldwide and together with international partners!
For example in Uzbekistan. In Central Asia bat species "from East and West" come together. An exciting terrain for evolutionary research! Back in Berlin, we can process samples obtained directly at the museum thanks to our in-house laboratory infrastructure. For example, we decode the DNA of animals and can look back on millions of years of evolution. We are getting to know the species on earth better and better - and can thus help protect them more efficiently!
A film team accompanies the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin on its way into the future. On CZcams you can join our Museum Evolution!
The earth is changing. Every second. For 4.56 billion years. But this change is happening too fast lately! This is shown by the speed of species extinction and climate change.
We are making the museum fit for new challenges, also structurally. As a place where, in future, a million visitors a year will be able to exchange ideas about the preservation of our natural foundations of life. And as a place where more than 200 scientists are already researching life and the earth. We are catapulting the 30 million objects in our collection into the future - analogue and digital. For all of us! So that we can work together on solutions - for nature and the cohesion of society.

Wenn mehr Videomaterial besteht: warum nicht ein paar Fledermausarten aus Deutschland oder auch Usbekistan vorstellen?
