Love this blue color and workmanship! Adding the wheels you have collected is such a lovely touch. You two are really craftsmen/women. I would recommend you wear thin gloves and a mask when working with these paints and chemicals. Our bodies are amazing sponges for these chemicals, and if you do this a lot over time, they will accumulate inside your lungs and skin and cause problems.

The green color was actually really lovely. In my opinion anyway, I would've done an updated coat of the Kelly green color, including the applique piece and then use the black wax over the entire piece aging it nicely and then sanding the edges to age more and boom. The odd gradient is a bit strange for my tastes But who knows.... maybe someone that is into boho or has a place near a beach can appreciate this piece. Gorgeous furniture find for sure! Nice effort!

I loved that dark green. The black wax idea is cool. I've just been watching some videos that turned up sporadically. Watched a guy do a really wonderful weathered window with salt---not salt wash--and a whole bunch if other things-no chalk paint. BUT it was extremely complicated, and the window was miniature,. It would have taken a year to do a real window.

Its kinda funny.....the irony of these comments in this case is that boho finish isnt suppose to look glamorous or uniform...and the lighter color n the middle is suppose to look ike this and the mess of the dripping paint and in the comments people sayin oh i hate this...its ike...this is just another option of paintin..just like a tutorial of how to do it and if we dont like it..dont paint like that..no need to be nasty about it...just sayin

    • @JamiRayVintage

The DIY paint I use is clay based so it’s thicker and heavily pigmented. I’ve done a little color blending with chalk paint but because chalk paint is thinner I have to be careful not to spray it so much that it just runs off the piece. 👍

beautiful transformation. I love the style of old pieces but they need a new unique style. I've noticed some continue to follow and not like the out come... hello unfollow. Jamie your creativity shines bright in each piece, keep doing what you .. peace n love

I'm not sure, but to me, it looks not finished with the light, large vertical stripes going across it

I had a white walmart three shelved cloth box stand that I paid about $30 for, it's the one you put together and then you can use the clothed boxes as drawers. I didn't like the white, but hey, the clothed boxes held scarves and gloves. Well, I got inspired and I painted it was oiled stain, one coat. It came out pretty cool!! very distressed with the brown over the white, kinda like streaks from the paint brush. The oiled stain separated and make some awesome designs. I'll get some appliques for the sides to make it super fancy. I have my good dishes in it now in the dinning room. It was very easy to do.

Hummm, Really not liking this all that well... maybe do more blending in between colors and have less running drips. Then i think it would be spot on!

Using this water bottle technique is just messy and awful looking! I take way more time when creating layered paint looks

I’ve sold all of these pieces for my asking price. Sometimes it does take a little longer. It’s not 100% my style, I the love tradition farmhouse look...but it’s so fun to paint like this!

BTW I just placed a large order on your website due to your wonderful furniture tutorials... If you get a chance to check out Chic and Shabby furniture by Rebecca she's doing an online class.. She uses DIY paint but is not a retailer... I posted your website when so many others are asking where they can purchase DIY paint.. You are Topnotch!!
