Absolutely love this technique, I am soooo happy you DID NOT let some "tv" producers ruin what you & other youtubers work so hard to achieve, high five for that... The whole trouble with those on tv is that they think they KNOW so much more that the average person, kudos to you and Dionne , love your videos Debbie ❤️❤️🤗🤗🤗

Yes, of COURSE Dionne is amazing, and of COURSE we ALL want to be able to create the amazing finishes that she has pioneered....
BUT - what moves me the most, and what actually brought tears to my eyes?
*The creative and constructive way that you both handled a really challenging situation with the TV Network.*
Frankly, the "gimmicky / humiliation button pushing" concept they were pushing is YUCK. I am SO relieved that neither of you decided to play along, but rather, you allowed your combined creativity to dictate a BRILLIANT response.
I used to always support your efforts to gain access to the Networks, but you know what? I don't even watch network TV, and I'm willing to bet that many of your fans don't either. We like the freedom to select when and where and WHO we watch, and CZcams, Facebook, Instagram, etc, are our venues for selecting content that matters to us.
Yes, THIS is a show. One without interference from those who don't know what the HECK they are talking about, produced by passionate Creatives that are loved deeply by their fans.

It's true..! I'm a million miles away in South Africa and watching these girls have become my inspiration and actually a bit of and addiction... but hey, it's a healthy one right? I am só craving laying my hands on DIY paint it's unreal, I am battling a bit (to say the least!) with normal chalk paint now... I want this clay based, like Debi says.."It's good..." Jaw droppingly beautiful results! It watched intently through the entire process along with the struggles and the key takeaway for me (with my own issues) is for me to try it out, enjoy the process and not get all perfectionistic. Debi thank you so much for your candid honesty about “failing” at painting like someone else. We should all remember that we each have our own unique style and should love that about each other. I absolutely love this piece A++ in my opinion. I’m going to have to follow Deonne now too! On a side note I’m going to drive almost 2 hours to the closest store today to finally buy some DIY paint! It’s going to be an adventure.

I'm a little late to the dance but JUST found this particular video of Debi's. Been following you on CZcams for about a year. I love your honesty, quirkiness (a GOOD thing!), and, most of all, your creativity! Also love that you're not afraid to admit when you've painted something you're not thrilled with and start over until you're satisfied with the results! Through you, I found Dionne. I bought this very old dresser with mirror a few years ago and have been looking at it ever since. What to do, what to do. The hardware on it is what grabbed me in the first place. Since I've watched this particular video a few times, I now feel I have the courage to try and replicate the piece in this video. You and Dionne are so helpful to people like me who inside have a creative person screaming to get out. Bought my spray bottle and putty knife, have the paint, and will give it a whirl. Omg this is so beautiful! The cabinet is the most beautiful diy in the whole internet, but then the story! Of you being true to the inspiration artist and her sharing her artistry so freely and lovingly! This is really what I try to do with my jewelry tutorials and stuff. Creativity shared only makes for more inspiration.
I have been a builder for about the last 40 years. I have watched way too many furniture finishing videos but this singular video, that I have watched 6 or 8 times, led me to purchase 6 pieces in the last two days so I need to get busy practicing because it is time to gut my kitchen and build new "mature" cabinets. Thank you. This technique and results spoke to me.

Absolutely FANTASTIC! A++! This is my first time here and from the beginning of the video I said "Oh my stars isn't she the cutest lil thing I ever did see!" and then Dionne jumps on the "Quirky Bus" with her paint brush, putty knife and all that crazy talent and I was ALL IN! Then as the video went on I realized you weren't just a living doll, but you are super talented. How you told the story and put this video together down to the angle in which it was shot was really creative! Not to mention...you are both great at your craft. The piece came out so lovely! That t.v. show really missed the boat! I'd watch a show with the two of you on it any day! So glad I found y'all!

I just had enough $$ to buy bohemian blue, black wax, skeleton key and my favorite mermaid tail and this last one was available in the 16 oz only, I was happy and broke but I din't matter to me, I paint for a living houses and mainly apartments, I so love your work, and the reason I went to your shop in solana beach is because my son wife's had my first grandson, after all the commotion I asked him to drive me to your shop, I was excited to be there, I didn't see you, but i got some stuff but not he paint, I really like painting furniture and fixing them. Ok enough of myself, you are a great inspiration, and I wish I have come through your channel a bit sooner, I love the way you tell your stories and makes me not to be afraid anymore of public speech
