Another great vid Toot. Really insightful!
The testing board may come mislabelled, mine had D9 -> TP17 and D17 -> TP11, but TP17 and TP11 were not part of the installation, while TP35 and TP44 on the bottom ribbon were not on the tester, so those two were probably labelled incorrectly.
THANK U
10:44 When you go to check the tester, make sure the top and bottom boards have been socketed back in fully, otherwise most of them won't light even if everything is soldered correctly.
Also, while testing, It's not necessary to re-solder the pair of (neutral?) wires on both sides next to the motor wires.
Those back pieces come right off if you start at the top
Can anyone tell me these are for?
Nice video, but is it possible to buy this already installed on a new controller?
I thought I replied to this but I don’t see it. Hexgaming.com sell controllers where these kits are already a part of it.
How do I calibrate these buttons and make them usable when I play Xbox games ? (My controller came with these buttons)
Where did you get the controller, is it from HEX Gaming? It should have a switch on the back. Switch it so the blue light comes on. hold the back button you want to map then hold the button you want to map to it for 3 seconds and the light will flash blue to confirm it. When you have done the buttons you want, flick the switch again and that's it.
Buttons seem to high up
I’m probably about to waste 40 bucks and ruin a brand new controller but I’m all in…. Wish me luck. Thanks for the video, very helpful.
Best of luck, please be careful with it :)
@@TootXB Thanks, I think I’ll be alright.
@@LbzRHINO what happened man?
@@moizazam211 I just got everything in the mail today including a pretty nice soldering station. I’ll let you know how it turns out.
@@LbzRHINO Soooo???
Can you use the buttons from the xbox one for the series X?
Yes, they would be compatible.
@@TootXB so I can just replace the buttons of my series S controller using a xbox one buttons that cool THanks man
Can I add this kit to my megamodz xbox series x controller and would it work
I haven’t tried it. I would advise not trying it though.
@@TootXB thanks
@@crisreyes7940 I say this because megamodz add a load of extra wiring and soldered points. I added the clicky kit from extremerate to the controller and the modz stopped working as the clicky kit sat in the middle of the controller and the mod. As the back button kit requires soldering to the controller it’s risky. Plus you have to replace the rear housing which is where the megamodz setup button is attached. I’d personally not risk it.
Hey does this work on Xbox one
Yes, this is compatible with both One and Series consoles. Just make sure it goes on the right controller model.
@@TootXB The I vote the red one I can't think of the name
What if you can't solder? Lol
Idk if I trust myself
If you cannot solder then don’t do it. But there are good guides on CZcams teaching you how to solder. You need to buy equipment to do it though.
@@TootXB u can also rent I believe
Wow, way too much work! They could have at least assembled the entire back to cut down on the assembly. I would be afraid of ruining my controller.
