Godrup, easily the most gifted player I’ve seen play in Scotland. Him, Gazza and Albertz in the same team and there were others too, Celtic came with many game plans, but game plans don’t beat brilliance.
@Mr Creosote I agree. He created alot of goals but his unselfishness became at times a genuine flaw in his game that he couldn't just finish off chances. The amount of times he would create fantastic space but lay it off to someone in a worse position. He only scored 2 goals in 20+ games in his 2nd season and one was a penalty, and only 5 in his fourth which is poor.
In 116 games he scored 33 goals. Not bad for a midfield maestro. I've seen strikers with worse stats. Samaras played 249 games for the Septic and only scored 74 goals. I would rather have one Laudrup than 100 Samaras's.
