As the video noted, Laudrup's strength was his assists (passing). You CANNOT appreciate his game without watching a video that specifically concentrates on his passing.
It wasn't just his vision that set him apart. The WEIGHT of his passes was phenomenal. He could do 50 yard passes that whipped past defenders, but then slowed enough that his teammates could shoot on first touch.
He was truly a remarkable playmaker.

Laudrup had the greatest vision i have ever witnessed, his passing was unmatched too. This video doesnt even do him justice. You have to watch a longer compilation with him to actually appriciate what he really did on the field back then.

I'm 37 and when I was your age I was watching highlight reels of the players I missed from the 60s, 70s and 80s. As I enjoyed watching all these players every week.
So it's alot of fun watching learn about the past stars. Keep it up bud.

So glad millenials observe this fellow countryman of mine. Here in Denmark Michael Laudrup have never been underrated - on the contrary.
I remember a friend of mine back in late 90ies during WC1998 was in the outskirts of Tibet, as remote from civilization as she could get. Then she after a far hike came to a small village which looked abandoned, but heard shouts and noise. In a dilapidated, cold wooden shelter, she found a lot of children aged 6-11 who were sitting watching a WC98 match between Denmark and Nigeria and shouting "LAUUDRUUP!!". So his recognition went as far beyond as it could get and I really don't know in which sleeping world he is considered "underrated". Must be a generation thing. Everyone witnessing Laudrups vision on the playground knew how valuable he was as a playmaker for his teammates.

Michael Laudrup played his part in Denmark's unexpected triumph at Euro 92 by opting out. With all due respect to coach R.M. Nielsen, who led the national side to their greatest achievement ever, he was never able to make the team work with our greatest footballer in history, proving that you cannot build a team and a way of playing around one sublime player. We Danes will never forget the wonderfully weird and magical summer of 92, nevertheless El Maestro Danés Michael Laudrup was voted the greatest athlete (sic!) in Danish history in 2021, probably because Laudrup always remained very Danish, modest and gentlemanlike on and off the pitch - and because Danes love and know a thing or two about the beautiful game of football.

Platini is obviously a shithead. His latter day sins have sort of erased his playing career in hindsight. But to be blatantly honest, if it weren't for Diego Maradona, he would probably be considered the best player of the 80's overall. He was a HUGE name. When France won the Euro 84, the one man army of Michel Platini scored 9 goals in five matches. Um, he played in midfield as well. Crazy stuff.

Even though he changed from Barca to Real Madrid, time heals wounds and years past he’s been like worshipped by Spanish football fans for a long time.
Spanish football is engrossed in soap opera, he was never a part of anything. Never received a red card.

football should be fun, so when an "ego" ( a talent) took the ball to much, a talk was made, an if he still vent off his own, he would be kicked from the team.
