    Good video. Couple of extra steps
    1. Open the oil cap when draining old oil from sump
    2. Always use a torque wrench both the drain plug and oil filter cap are 25nm
    3. It is easier and better to place the new oil filter in the housing using the locating pin on the filter first then screw the cap in.

    • @YIDARMY08
      @YIDARMY08 Před rokem +1

      Hi mate might be late but you can jack it from the front - directly. There is a round circle on the under tray toward the back marking the jack point. Make sure you use a good trolley jack as a lot of weight, with a flat surface ideally with the rubber pad to avoid damaging the tray. Once up you can use a jack stand either side on the bmw jacking points. You can get two rubber inserts to rest on the top of the stands for better stability and to avoid damaging the plastic.

    • @kirwanjohn101
      @kirwanjohn101 Před 3 lety +2

      Will not make any difference if you live in the UK. 5w40 is really only necessary in a very hot climate, so 5w30 is perfectly fine. The manual will give both options to cover different countries and climates. The most inportant thing is that the oil is fully synthetic and low Ash and is bmw approved. You're looking for BMW LL04 standard on the oil. Once you have this it doesn't matter what make of oil you use as it means that the oil has been blended correctly to meet the manufacturers requirements. Hope this was helpful.
