I dated people in the past that tried to argue with me in public, and I walked off calmly like I didn't know them and they hush up quick when they realize they look like a plum fool. I respect that. I've been on both sides. Not, in an intimate bf/gf type of relationship, but with family and friends. I have been the ghetto one at times. I've been the mature person at times. So, I get it.

It's a tense topic because of the emotional part. Public arguments for us can escalate so quickly and nowdays depending on the demographic can be dangerous when say the police get involved. Leave and cleave is a blessing. My husband is a big, tall, black man with a deep voice and even when he is animated with his opinion about any topic in public, people can misinterpret. Telling him he's getting loud makes him feel some type a way..... Ya'll on point! Keep sharing!🥰
My husband is the same and a lot of people assume he is mean but it's easier to talk to him than me.

The whole living near family and going to them during a fight is SO true… I don’t think anyone has ever said why or how that is hurtful to a relationship by creating a wedge between your partner and yourself. I’ve been married going on 12 years and have lived near family in the early part of my marriage and eventually moved across country far away from everyone. You do have to just deal with each other instead of using family like a crutch during some big fights. Part of growing up and growing in your marriage is to learn to deal with your party during an argument. 😂
It's so HARD for me to mask my feelings before going to an event. I can't drop it and smile. He can, but I can't. I'm like Chance, "When I'm mad, I'm mad." Stay away from me! I'm trying to grow out of it, but it's not working.

We have been married for 33 years, and when we argue before we go somewhere, we usually act like nothing happened. We make pick up the discussion when we come back.

I caught that too!😂 I also don't understand why females don't like to apologize for their errors in the situation. Chance definitely couldn't argue or yell at her if she had just walked away. Sounds like she added to Chance's frustration so she should've apologized as well. I have never heard Tab apologize for anything and I've been watching for at least 4 years. She has every right to attempt, pull him to the side, let him know look y’all doing the most chill out. Clearly he could not control his self and the moment she as his wife and partner is suppose.
