  • Here's a pretty neat item called "The Pool Pillow Pal". This video will show you what it is and how easy it is to use on your pool cover. The Velcro sticker holds your pool pillow in place without the use of rope.

Great demonstration of The Pool Pillow Pal! As the co-inventor of this product my brother-in-law and I developed it out of the frustration with struggling with the pillow and the ropes on our pools, trying to keep it in place while dragging the cover over it. I'm happy to see it was easier for you to cover your pool with it. Thanks for shooting the video as well, great job!

I love it Wesley. You need to shout from the tree tops about this thing. For all of our viewers, what this product also does is it holds the pillow in place.
With the rope method, the pool pillows seem to wander. This is due to the weight of the snow and water pushing on the ropes causing the pillow to move.
With the "Pool Pillow Pal" there are no ropes, just a simple system that makes your pillow stay put, and your cover easier to put on. Visit their site here www.thepoolpillowpal.com/

I'm trying to figure out why you put so much air in your pillow. The pressure in the winter will make the air leak out.

sixstring12 I am new to winterizing a pool and also am confused why that air pillow is so full. Stress is going to cause it to burst.

So I need to get my clean pool cover all dirty by dragging it on the ground to attach this thing.

I'm not positive about this, but if the expanding ice is strong enough to push your pool walls out, then it should be strong enough to squeeze the pillow. And I believe that is what the pillow is for so the expanding ice squeezes the pillow. I've been filling up my pillows full for more than 20 years and never had a problem.
