The paper trail says that the accountant classified the invoice in the accounts as a legal expense as would everyone in the world outside of the TDS sufferers. Trump signed a cheque paying Cohen is not a crime….but Why you would engage a guy like that is really the question..
The paper trail. A lawyer sends a bill for his service. The bill gets entered and approved for payment. The check gets written and signed. The check gets cashed and the bill is paid. That is all standard business and is not against the law.

Michael Cohen best accomplishes his revenge by being 100% truthful in court. I expect the prosecution will see this rather major flaw in the Trump defense.

The problem that the defense has is that it cannot bring Cohen's past character and behavior into the present. Blanche tried that but failed. And Cohen didn't bring any of that past behavior into the present either, so the jury is left to contrast Cohen's past behavior with his current behavior on the stand. They will see that he has changed his ways, and that helps his credibility. Lanny Davis is one of the most accomplished attorneys, and it shows here.

People can do more than one thing - so he was texting about a problem with a 14 year old - how does that show he didn't tell Trump about Stormy? What he was claiming to have said the Trump could be done in as little as 9 words - out of 90 seconds, that leaves lots of time to also talk with the security guy. It is not an either/or situation.

The whole of the prosecution’s case is circumstantial without Cohen’s testimony. It’s not on the defense to prove Trump didn’t falsify business records (it seems Trump literally just signs checks and doesn’t keep any records himself); the burden of proof is on the prosecution to prove that Trump himself falsified business records.

I'm one of those people that mix up exact dates and times all the time. Just because he got certain dates mixed up doesn't throw out entirely that those conversations did still happen. They have the texts. They have the voice recordings. Screwing up the dates in a verbal back and forth shouldn't be the focus here.

That is what you can expect from a heavily partisan jury (New York County voted 86% Biden vs 12% Trump). How could you look at this evidence and judge beyond a reasonable doubt unless your judgment is clouded by your political affiliation?
Without Trump as the defendant, this trial would never have happened anyway. The Democrats are sacrificing the rule of law to take down the opposing candidate. This is banana republic stuff.

ME AS A JUROR ON THIS CASE: Have anyone ever called someone about something you thought was very important to you at that given moment but when you get on the phone the conversation changed to something completely different either because the person on the other side of the phone asked you a question 1st or brought up a topic not related to the reason for your initial call and when you get off the phone you realize you never did get to ask your question or concern or decided that now was not the right time to discuss that? That is what I believe happened to Cohen. Donald being the bombastic person that he is probably asked about Stormy situation and Cohen never did get to speak about the 14 year old and of if he did, mentioned it but tabled for a later conversation because the talkative Gemini Trump is and always talking about himself left no room for Cohen to get when he originally called for. This is what I thought, I never thought Cohen lied.

My understanding is paying hush-money is not illegal.
This case is about Trump falsifying his business records saying the payment was for legal fees.
