While I agree, I also understand that the cammer might not have noticed the other driver merging in the moment the cammer was merging. I also agree that slowing down could’ve prevented it, but at the same time I can see why the hesitation to slow down / brake suddenly would prevent someone from braking in a split-second decision

I see a lot of in-video comments about bald tires, but I wanted to throw this out there also. Tires have a manufacture date on them, thus there's an implied expiration date. Rubber gets hard and brittle with age and weather cycles.
It's entirely possible to have tires with great tread life left, but with the stopping and handling power of a banana peel. If you're like me and barely put a couple of thousand miles on your car a year, you need to plan on replacing your barely used tires after 5 to 7 years of their manufacture date.

Rule of thumb that many people seem to forget:
If you’re stopped, and someone rear ends you, the moment you either see the impact is imminent, or the impact itself happens, stand on your brakes. In cases like at 2:45 you can avoid hitting the car in front of you, and if you can’t actually avoid, then you also won’t go flying across the intersection afterwards and hit even more cars, turning spectators into involved parties.

Some of these were preventable. That’s why cars have these really neat things called brakes 🙄🤦‍♀️

Seems to me a lot of drivers are ramming vehicles without slowing down.

If someone hits your vehicle, best get out quick and remove their keys before they do a runner which seems to be quite a common thing in the USA. Punch them in the teeth if they get shirty.

#45 I'd have to disagree with the comment in this fact... depth perception is key. Just think when traffic is crawling slow the brake lights aren't on. It's up to the driver to pay attention ahead and use that depth perception to realize the gap is closing between his vehicle and that object ahead. Maybe his brake lights were working but he was taking off from a stop or creeping along. Just my opinion.

#13 Lol I've seen this one in a different comp, that one had the cammer's comment. They literally blamed the design of the intersection. It was 100% cammer's fault.

8:30 If you can't properly drive a car with FWD like that RSX then it's probably best you take public transit from now on. Then again if your tires were super bald, another reason to get a bus pass too.

#70 at 21:51. What are you talking about?!? The driver of the vehicle-at-fault _no_ financial responsibility for an accident they cause. It is _always_ the _owner_ of the vehicle who is financially responsible. The owner _must never_ let a person drive their vehicle, if that person will be at fault for causing an accident with that vehicle. I _know_ this is strange, that the law expects the owner to see the future, but that is the law everywhere. Enterprise has 100% of the financial implications of this.
