  • Subaru have given us the keys to the NEW BRZ! I've been hotly anticipating my first drive in this thing. I want to see if it's as good as the on-paper updates suggest. There's a new motor with more power, a revised chassis and a few more features than the last one. I want to see if it's good enough for me to consider actually buying one!

It’s an amazing car, my first car I got it in manual I use it as a daily and it’s just fun to drive always. It’s a head turner and a definite conversation starter with random people. It’s a definite 10/10 recommend if you’re looking to get one. Just good luck finding one under $35k

Needs the manual for sure. Just makes you want to drive it at every opportunity.

Dunno if its just me, but I always thought the old BRZ/86 had a very insect look in its headlights and tail lights. This new design is leaps and bounds better looking!

Hey Cameron, this sixty year old is waiting for delivery
of his, before xmas I hope, same spec/colour as your test
car but with the manual of course.
    Every review confirms my choice.
    I can't wait.

Glad to hear! We're grabbing a manual one to review later next month. So if you're subscribed, you'll see my review on that too. Aside from the transmission, it's an awesome sports car.

@@galuhrichata6148 Hahaha, yes mate, I got it at the beginning of October.
I now only have about 1500kms on it and you are right,
my smile is almost as wide as the one the BRZ wears.
      Great little car.

@@imanenigma3348 glad to hear that, Sir. I ordered the auto a few months ago. Personally I prefer the manual, but since the car is for my wife, and she will drive it daily thru lots of traffic, so we thought the auto will be a wiser choice.

Hi Cameron, nice video! If I may ask, between the mx5 and the current brz which steering do you prefer? Which in particular has more weight to it? Thanks for info!

    • @ProductReviewCars

Thank you! MX-5 all the way for feel. BRZ is a little heavier.

Saying that the BRZ is still a very good car.
For me it depends on the dealer's price markups, cause sometimes they're just outlandish.

Subaru keep pushing autos…short changing them in the BRZ and WRX on safety features. Subaru have never been much good at listening to what their customers really want. They got the new BRZ pretty right however…in manual form!

And now a Subaru Outback Turbo is on its way to Australia soon!

    • @peterg2345
      @peterg2345 Před rokem

Real drivers don't want or need nanny stuff. Which is why, in Australia at least, manuals are 80% of sales. For the BRZ. Apparently Toyota drivers can't, and 80% of GR86s are auto.
