    This is an old post. I live in this area and boat in Georgian Bay and the Trent. It is still awesome and hasn't changed. The young lady that did this video did a great job as well. If you ever do this cruise, you will never forget it.

    65 feet is not the largest lift lock in the world ...sorry......Strepy-Bracquegnies, Belgium canal du centre does 73 meters ( 239 feet)

      Listen again to what she said, Her Maitre; she didn't say "largest," she said "highest." None of the locks on the Canal du Centre exceeds 16.3 meters (55.5 feet) in lift height, so the 65-foot (19.8 meter) height of the Peterborough Lift Lock does indeed make it the highest single-lift hydraulic lock in the world.
