Except the part where Thanos' snap would have affected him too. He would have never been able to come back to his family. Not to mention his family would have been snapped out of existence.
They could have said that the gods who defended earth put a shield over the planet to hide it from Darkseid. But when Zod used the World Engine on earth, it broke the shield and allowed Steppenwolf to find earth again.
They should have said something!

Don't know about that. The Black Order was pretty damn competent. The fact that they lost to the heroes doesn't make them incompetent; it just makes the heroes better than them. I'm sure several of them could have soloed Steppenwolf.

@Ultimate Sora I think these comparisons come from comics, the only medium where they have coexisted where I assume they are on a similar powerscale( If I am remembering correctly Thor and Superman are elevated to absurd levels of power in their own comics but in crossover ones between Marvel and Dc they are more alike). DCEU superman would absolutely destroy MCU Thor due to his ridiculous speed, thats correct.

When he first arrived on earth, he was Uxas and not Steppenwolf. After returning, he recovered but then soon had to fight his family , there was a lot of politics involved.
Also it's not easy to find a planet among billions.

But why did Steppenwolf have that conversation with Darksied about finding the antilife. Even in the dialogue he said. No kryptonian no lanterns. This world will fall.

Zack Snyder actually responded to this with a tweet, he said “He almost died when he returned to apocalypse he was in a fight for power and much time passed before he was in a position of power again and by then all who had been with him had been Slayed”, but tbh this doesn’t explain why he didn’t go back once he had power again? 🤔

Still a BS Answer. 5.000 Years conquering Worlds but not remembering the 1 World that defeated him could mean he could have accidently set foot on said World again. And because of that you never let Snyder write a Story.

@@FurryEskimo not really, batman is the biggest example of brains over brawns, even forced darkseid to accept defeat. Lex luthor is another example of brainiac winning, also the fact that darkseid isn't even that popular compared to joker and lex luthor who both manipulate there protagonists using their brains. Both batman and superman are iconic and prove that both sides are equally as capable but to write superman is hard, you gotta have a good writing skill to write about an indestructible and invincible hero and give him actual meaningful stories, in that regards batman is easier to write. I think characters like darksied should be really strong, strong enough to hurt superman but also really smart.
@@Elamado97 Modern Batman has plot armor, and Alex Luthor is overcome by an alien with muscles.. I’m not trying to dismiss your argument, but can we agree these individuals are the exception and not the rule in the DC universe? Sure there are a lot of scientists in Batman’s world who go on to overwhelm the general public, but on average they still fail. (I think I’m focusing more on alien scientists, as I recall seeing them play second fiddle to someone much more focused on overwhelming an opponent with physical force.)

Well they did clarify that only Darkseid was the last to survive during the time when civil war broke out on Apokolips and Darkseid had to gain control. And the only tech that we know of to be like magic is the mother boxes which were lost on Earth.
They weren't lost, atlantians, amazonians and humans were keeping then safe.

I always thought it was because they didn't have the technology back then. Like sure, they did have the big aircraft and all, but nothing to track a planet at the time. Keep in mind the sun revolves around the centre of the Milky Way, which itself also revolves around something else we haven't discovered yet, so it's not like if they return to the same place, it would be there.

Also around at least 3 or 4 thousands without any defenders whatsoever. The Amazons and Atlantis we saw Steppenwolf could defeat himself. There wouldn't be any Kryptonians because Krypton hadn't even exploded yet, the Greek gods didn't show up for the film we can presume they wouldn't if Darkseid attacked by the middle ages, no green lantern either it seems.
He waited 5 thousand years to come back when Earth has defenders again.

Ok, but this isn't spacial location. Darkseid is hopping universes. It certainly seems possible to lose a planet in one universe in an infinite multiverse without having some sort of base for multiversal communication.

Is he though? The movie doesn't mention parallel universes. It seems that Darkseid just left Earth and then couldn't find it again. Cosmic space is mindboggingly vast, after all. If these cosmic coordinates were only on the motherboxes, and all three motherboxes were left on Earth during that retreat, then it makes perfect sense that he wouldn't be able to find the planet again.
@@ssjcosty Darkseid has conquered hundreds of thousands of worlds, which is way too many inhabited worlds for one universe, he has mentioned that Anti-Life is the most powerful weapon in the multiverse, and he hops universes in the comics.
The motherboxes were how they found Earth. They activated and sent a signal.

Ultimately it really isn't that important to explain why he lost the location of earth as the reason isn't relevant to the plot

@@DemonicLemur With franchise I meant the standalone films like Aquaman or Wonder Woman, that did explain their full backstory better. Perhaps it suffered from not enough leading-up films or not wanting to copy how Marvel did Thanos, dunno.

@@TheWarpZone I see what you mean. You guys have been uploading more consistently and created new somewhat entertaining series. But there lacks a certain charm to it and I just don’t know what. Everything feels shorter which I assume is because of CZcams Shorts’s algorithm and the videos you do put out feel like they’re random ideas like throwing things at a wall to see what sticks. Maybe that’s just me and I hope it is cause I don’t want everyone to start to think you’re downgrading and be negative all the time. Hopefully the quality picks up but for now that’s where I’m at.
