      MattBrandCars I was almost all in on the Volvo XC40 but couldn’t justify the cost. I did order a RAV4 back in Jan but Toyota can’t confirm it will arrive before the end of the year!!! So I pivoted to the Corolla.

    I’m not sure how deleted comments work. I can still see it. I said:
    The 2020 model of this hatch in the United States does not come with a spare, just a flat kit which adds to cargo space. Also has a different roof color option.
    I’m doing well. I’m looking to buy a slightly used manual version of this car. I like how it drives like the 7th generation Civic it would replace. It comes with CarPlay and I also like the safety features, especially the lane warnings as I often have trouble looking over my shoulder.

    • @CarSauce
      @CarSauce  Před 4 lety +1

      It's a great car. Manual with the 2.0L would be super fun, it just takes a little away from the autonomous driving side of things!

    • @hamsterama
      @hamsterama Před 4 lety +1

      The 2020 model of this hatch can come with a spare. I know this because I have a 2020 6-speed hatch SE, and it has a spare. :) The flat kit and deeper trunk space is offered as an option. Since I live in the Midwest, where we get a ton of potholes in the winter, a flat kit is unacceptable. If you hit a really deep pothole and bend your wheel, you need a replacement tire.

    • @generallyhelpfulsoftware646
      @generallyhelpfulsoftware646 Před 4 lety +1

      hamsterama that’s good to know. I currently drive a 2019 XSE manual, which I ended up getting new when I got a great price on it. Love this car, although with this lockdown, it’s hard to call it a daily driver. Also, I’m 52 and have never had the necessity to change my car’s tire by the side of the road. Did help my sister once though, in high school. So maybe more trunk room would be good for me.

    • @hamsterama
      @hamsterama Před 4 lety +1

      @@generallyhelpfulsoftware646 I wanted the XSE but....It's not pothole-friendly. I loved the leather, heated seats, but it's got those thinner tires, which leave your vulnerable if you hit a pothole. I live in Ohio, and our roads in the winter are horrible. I'm 35, and I've never had to change tires on the side of the road, either LOL! But, knock on wood, the only auto accident I've ever experienced was when I was a pre-teen. My mom hit a patch of ice on the interstate, a wheel hit a guardrail (I think), and an axle broke as well. The only way to get home was to put a spare tire on. That experience is forever burned into my memory. Which is why I would never drive a car that doesn't have a spare tire.

    Dear Sir,
    There are two cars incon tech 16 inch alloy wheels and incon tech design 18 inch alloy wheels. Does that make any big difference in driving?

    • @juancorona3893
      @juancorona3893 Před 4 lety +3

      Ram Jay There’s basically 2 trims for the corolla hatchback, SE and XSE. I believe they each come in a manual or CVT transmission. The SE comes with the 16” wheels and the XSE comes with the 18” wheels. They differ slightly, but they are the same car internally(by that I mean engine and transmission).

    • @CarSauce
      @CarSauce  Před 4 lety +3

      Hey Ram, the 16 inch is a more comfortable ride because there is more tire tread (rubber). But, the 18 inch wheels definitely look better!

    Really, pay a few more thousands and get the fully loaded much better looking, better functioning ZR, XSE or whatever it is in your country. Getting the stripped out version you will constantly have buyers remorse whenever you see the ZF drive by you. The base is for rental companies

    • @CarSauce
      @CarSauce  Před 4 lety +1

      The ZR is almost $10,000 or 50% more here in Australia. I agree avoid the base model if you can, but I also get why people don't want to spend that much more!
