  • For the last couple of days I've been waiting, playing email and messenger tag with Nanrobot support trying to come to a resolution with my cracked handlebar crisis. Nanrobot support admitted that the handlebars cracking was a design flaw in my model that effected some scooters, but assured me the flaws had been fixed on the new model.

    If you have the weak stem all you do is before it gets loose make sure the two bolts are tight at the top. Then slide out the pole and remove the push button. Slide pole to the hight you want it. Drill a hole through where the push button hole is in the stem through the pole that slides up and down. Screw a screw in to force a thread then tighten. It will have three points holding it secure and it won't twist anymore. The push button is not strong enough to secure the pole with the twisting

      I think so too, insofar as it's impossible to get another scooter that'll do 32mph for the price.

    what happened did you get it sorted. I can't find a follow-up video

      @GingerOnWheels  Před 2 lety

      Not sorted, ever. Ended up getting rid of the scooter. Too much broke to realistically fix without spending a fortune

      @@GingerOnWheelshow much would a fortune have been? Right now I spent 630$ on a used one probably never any maintenance done and the battery is giving issues now. If I spend the money on a new battery it’s like I spent the amount to buy a new one.

    I would have taken the double clamp fix, that seems solid. Is the D5+ stem the same?

    • @GingerOnWheels
      @GingerOnWheels  Před 4 lety

      I believe they are. I just didn't like the way the clamp looked , aesthetically. Looked like headgear.

    DUDE!! you never updated us on what happened?? Did they end replacing or upgrading you?

      Horror story! They jerked me around for about a month until reported the charge to my credit card company. Then Nanrobot (1 day later) gave me a return label but said I needed to wait 2 weeks to ship it back.... I put it in the box and dropped it off at FedEx then disputed the charge on my creditcard and got my money back. Never getting a Nanrobot again unless it's free.

      @@GingerOnWheels Sorry you had to go through that but good for for not letting them get away with it. So now that you've had the wolf and zero...which do you like best?

    I literally just purchased the d5+ half hour ago so I hope it's a different stem they use

    • @GingerOnWheels
      @GingerOnWheels  Před 4 lety +1

      I hope so too.
      Though I'm not sure you would be able to ride a D5 hard enough to break the bars like this. I'm a hard off-road guy.
