    Bro the way you explained this is like no other I was aware of the break handle thing but only thought it tightened the stiffness of it, had no idea it moved the breaks, I have been in break disk hell as my break disk came shot when I recived my scooter... Bro thank you, I think you solved 99% of my problems.

    I am curious,does your RS 7 use cable actuated hydraulic brake calipers?
    Systems that are partially hydraulic use mechanical brake levers with a cable to operate a hydraulic caliper at the rotor,whereas a complete hydraulic system uses both hydraulic levers and calipers.
    You posted your video 4yrs ago,but I just came across it on CZcams,and I am not sure if you still have the scooter and are able to check the brake system to answer my question.

    Hey I just bought an ls7 model used and the rear brake has no grab. I pull the brake and it barely moves. What do I do? I turned it clock wise but there's no pressure. Is it possible to turn it too far or is it just the break pads being too far gone

    Have you seen a large improvement in grip with the street tires? My d6 came with knobby off-road tires and they are pretty twitchy and don't want to go straight at low speed. I was thinking of just replacing the front tire but I'm not sure yet.

    My problem is that those brake pads or calibers don’t move when I press the brake. I don’t have the exact same scooter but the brakes look identical. The problem is not in the brake handle, I’ve tightened and losened it. The brake is just so tight and doesn’t really brake at all when I press it as hard as I can.

  • @rockefelleragent1357
    @rockefelleragent1357 Před 4 lety +2

    Thanks for the very valuable info I find it very useful cause I have brake pads a little too close to the disc and my disc is a little warped causing touching. I have a situation I tried to remove the deck cover (where your feet rests) but it won't come off.. :( I removed all the screws but it's jammed in there real tight and I could not pop it open with my own strength. I wonder if the retailer glued the deck for sealing purpose or to prevent user from opening it to void warranty. I need to be able to remove the deck in the event I need to troubleshoot or replace batteries.. My scooter is generic brand 5600w scooter that looks very similar to yours.

    • @wattsinyours
      @wattsinyours  Před 4 lety +1

      Thank you for the nice comment. Sometimes they use a sealant like silicone or something similar to seal the deck onto the scooter. What i would try is to take a flat head screw driver and try to pry the deack off. That usually works. I had to do the same thing with mine. If yours is similar to mine then after you get the deck off scrape all the silicone off and modify yourself a thin gasket to put in its place for added protection from water. You can see how i did it one of my videos. Hopes this helps and let me know how it goes.

  • @JoshStreetDesign

    WHen I adjust that little screw under the handle, the pads are rubbing. But when I loosen it up to where the pads aren't rubbing, the brake handles pull in way too far, it's like there's no happy medium. ugh.
