    This is my favorite model. The one that made me fall in love with the chargers.

    • @MarspeedCars
      @MarspeedCars  Před 6 lety +4

      I’m glad they brought it back for 2017, the 06-10 ones were also very nice!

      When are you gettin one? haha

  • @RTLife
    @RTLife Před 6 lety +67

    The 5.7L is overlooked in general, but the daytona is def skipped over because the price point isn't really good unless you get some kind of super awesome deal/discount.

    • @PaulNicolau
      @PaulNicolau Před 6 lety

      R/T Life yeah the reason why I went with the Daytona is because I like what the package offers me. And I did get a good discount. Since I used to work for dodge I got the employee discount + some more on top of that. So it became a good deal

    • @MarspeedCars
      @MarspeedCars  Před 6 lety +2

      Agreed, Dodge seems to have those models people skip, it just goes RT to Scat to Daytona 392 to Hellcat, with fewer sales in between I’m guessing!

    • @PaulNicolau
      @PaulNicolau Před 6 lety +1

      Gustavo Palacios that's a good question. I have to check that out. I know the shifts feel different. More responsive on the Daytona. But I can be wrong.
      The regular 5.7 has a more comfortable shifting feel. More luxury if i can say that. More refined I guess, whereas the Daytona has a more rough shift, more racy feel to it.

    • @PaulNicolau
      @PaulNicolau Před 6 lety +1

      Gustavo Palacios you'd be moving to a 4 door family sedan which is a big difference in space and insurance payments. Also better on gas consumption.

    • @KingLexus
      @KingLexus Před 6 lety

      Gustavo Palacios Dayton all the way bro, unless your going to get an SS.

    Best review on this car, nobody has ever reviewed this car like this.

  • @3swyndal
    @3swyndal Před 6 lety +13

    I’ve owned my Daytona for 8 months. So far I’m really enjoying the car and it features. I haven’t done any performance upgrades only visual add ons. I’ve put this baby on the road 4K miles round trip and everything held up very well. The exhaust system from the factory is hard to beat. I’ve swapped the mid muffler for dynomax mini racing bullets and removed the rear resonators and my car sounds amazing with no droning. It’s sound stock until you go WOT and she purrs. Great review I’d buy another they are truly rare.

    • @DoubleYellow857
      @DoubleYellow857 Před 5 lety +1

      4k trip? Daaaaamn! I took mine on a 1,800 mile trip a few months after I got it. Like you I was happy with the trip. The car held up like a champ with zero issues. Surprisingly great on gas for a V8 too!

  • @michaeljosey879
    @michaeljosey879 Před 10 měsíci +1

    I’m probably the only one crazy enough to do this, but I bought mine at 55k miles…. In less than a year, it now has 90k. Totally worth it. Cut the mid mufflers though, get the bump in grunt without drone. No engine lights either. Only thing I wish was different is that I had a sunroof. Mine didn’t come with one.

    • @zynba
      @zynba Před 9 měsíci

      How much did you spend? I’m currently looking at a 2017 Daytona with 40k miles for $30k. Has every single upgrade from the factory. Thinking about getting a scar for a little more.

  • @Mark_conor
    @Mark_conor Před 5 lety +17

    Shiiiiiit I’m perfectly happy with my 5.7 Daytona more than enough for me... plus all the amenities i can have fun do burn outs easily and let’s be honest I’m never gonna do a 180 mph so brembos I didn’t need. I could have gotten the srt scat pack if I wanted to easily but gas and insurance wasn’t worth it for me everybody is different and at the time it was the only way to get the hellcat appearance package with the 5.7 witch was the cherry on top it definitely feels different than a regular RT to me though

    • @DoubleYellow857
      @DoubleYellow857 Před 5 lety +6

      I'm on the same boat. I'm a city driver with the occasional highway. I went with the 5.7 soley because 99% of the time I won't be able to squeeze out all the HP.
      What's 485hp if you can't tap into it?

    • @rawlee89rh11
      @rawlee89rh11 Před 5 lety +3

    the SRT 392 is the forgotten model. its either get a daytona or scat or hellcat. SRT 392 is the only model i never see, only in charger form at least see every kind of challenger everywhere.

    • @ericjr9884
      @ericjr9884 Před 6 lety +2

      Craig l mainly cause the scat has the same power as the 392 for a cheaper price but THEN again it isnt a 392 soo then you have to hear that everyday lol

    • @PaulNicolau
      @PaulNicolau Před 6 lety +1

      Alex Moran exactly what I was gonna say. For the same power and just a few small things is not worth it. It's almost 10k more(in Canada) so I wouldn't spend that extra for an art model. I'd rather spend that extra for a used hellcat instead

    • @MarspeedCars
      @MarspeedCars  Před 6 lety

      That’s a good point yeah, the scat has just about replaced the 392 because I’m not sure who would pay sticker for that new when you have other 6.4 options

    • @PaulNicolau
      @PaulNicolau Před 6 lety +2

      dasllamas I agree. But the good thing there aren't many daytonas on the road. At least in Toronto Canada. Which makes it interesting. A lot of people turn heads.

    • @MarspeedCars
      @MarspeedCars  Před 6 lety +3

      Yeah it’s interesting they have both Daytona and Daytona 392, and same with the Challenger T/A and T/A 392 as well. It does give buyers more choices though especially if you can get a good deal
