Technically, in a post apocalyptic environment where cannibals roam freely, I would think burning bodies would actually be the normal/correct thing to do.
It would eliminate the need to bury bodies, thus conserving strength/tools/food. Buried bodies can poison water supplies (if your water doesn't exclusively come from turtle shells that is). It would reduce germs/bugs from the dead and possibly prevent infection by whatever turned these people feral. I mean... it just makes sense.

@@ren82 lol yea its mostly just a theory based on what little knowledge I have of how bodies decay and how ground contamination and germs work. Plus I'm lazy so I just wouldn't want to dig to bury bodies in that situation, and definitely wouldn't want to drag them off, but if they're near your base, it's a bad idea to just leave them there (attracting cannibals or wild animals, disease, the smell..). Easiest way to dispose of them would be a fire. It doesn't have to be hot enough to burn the bones like a crematorium, just hot enough to burn away any contamination and kill off the disease/bacteria present in the bodies.
