I like how it organically assumed a form of a horror movie trope: a merry company that's having a good time, then they hear gunshots and suddenly no one is laughing anymore. Then the discovery of a corpse. A few more jokes after that, but the general tone is already additionally blackened by Mark's intentive listening of the woods, expecting trouble nearby.
This accidental scenario just makes me happy. It makes me happy that a videogame helped to produce something like that.

I am genuinely speechless at the cinematic pacing of this game. Straight after the HILARIOUS axe throwing game the boys got up to, the ominous sounds start happening and the mood switches. I have never seen such cinematic moments happen so organically in a video game! Unfortunately, the reveal of the monster was really underwhelming as it just sort of jumps out and it turns into a maniacal spray and pray against a complete bullet sponge...

Mark's reaction when the dead body was found was priceless. It had some heavy horror movie vibes. Especially when bob asks if they want to see him throw the axe between the severed head and the body and mark just disinterestedly says "yeah". I can just imagine Bigfoot watching mark from the underbrush, while the others goof off. Gave me the chills.

Can we talk about how perfectly timed the first happening is? We got the comedic scene with Axe-face, the laughter slowly fades, suddenly strange noises echoe through the woods… Our heroes go to inspect the noise… and find a dead body- It’s pretty much an actual horror movie-scene!
Except Bob's axe to the face wasn't a tragic origin story

This is like the plot of a horror movie, they hear things, blame the guy who heard them for going crazy, and proceed to rationalize everything
I love when Bob and Wade are like playing with the dead body and then Mark is walking away like in every horror movie where some other characters are having fun and then the main character like walks away and is like and is like"Yeah go do that. You guys hear something" And the other characters are just like "Oh you're just going crazy, you're just scared" And then the main character's just like "Yeah, you're probably right"
The "Axe BIG Incident" is proof that Mark, Bob, and Wade are a bigger threat to themselves than Bigfoot.
