@@hallhilla9341 you're supposed to put the pot inside of a bigger one of boiling water so the wax doesn't burn. because the water can't go above boiling temp, the wax won't either!

@@mirandascoool well basically the entire point of a double boiler is to prevent whatever you're cooking from getting too hot. You sit it on a pot of boiling water, so all the heat comes from the water which cant get much hotter than its boiling temperature. Putting it right on the stove is like using a regular pot (aka you can burn it), but more dangerous and stupid and apparently wobbly :)
