One book that came in handy for my wife and I was "Next Exit." If you're traveling out of state on main highways, it lists everything that's at an exit ahead of you, including lodging info, fuel stops, dump stations, restaurants, emergency facilities, etc. While it may not be a super help at the planning stage, it's a real help while on the road!
Well if you going to st gene . Check out their winery I think on merchant st. And if you are staying in stl and staying at 370 rv Park check out sugar fire smoke house..awesome bbq. Sadly we will be in S Carolina on the dates you will be here.

Years ago I used Delorme Street Atlas GPS. A tremendous feature was the ability to enter your preferred milage and/or time limit for the day. It allowed you to divide a long trip up into 300 mile legs, or 5 hour legs, etc. Is there an online site or program that does that? Planning a 4000 mile trip next year and would like to have a planner that automates some choices for daily destinations. Thanks!
Two stops in Missouri, my home state! 😀❤️👍🏻. It’s been ages since I’ve been to Ste. Genevieve but it is a neat place. Also, in Kansas City, if you have time, visit the National World War 1 Museum. Fantastic place that regularly rates as a top attraction. And there’s a great view of Union Station and downtown KC from the hill there. The ceiling at Union Station is stunning.

Great suggestions! We tend to book ones that we know we will need (visiting family) and aim for Harvest Hosts or BLM land on certain holidays. We do like the flexibility of just booking the absolutely necessary ones. We do a lot of research ahead of time to find possibilities but then wing it on our trips, because YES sometimes you get somewhere and want to stay a lot longer. Thanks for the video!

When you are around Arches NP, if you like offroading of any type, petroglyphs or dinosaur tracks, there are some nearby sites. Moab is one of our top 3 sites. Enjoy!!!

Where are you going to be staying here in Indy? Our campground is east of Indy north of Greenfield.. It is called Heartland Resort. I don't think you want to be on the west side of Indy because of all the crowding and congestion in the area, especially around race day weekend. If you will be in the area, please let me know and if you feel like it, we can do a meet up. If you would rather be left alone, let me know and I won't invade your privacy.
