Maybe you should try view more blogging tutorials and try to see if the slow growth rate is coming from your blog itself, your method of promotion or your niche. If you say 2 years, most times the issue is that maybe your target niche do not have a large or elaborate audience.
Not like I am promoting anyone, you can try signing up for "onehourprofessor" blogging course. It's free and really educative.

This was probably the best video I watched. It was so unexpected. I’ve been watching a bunch of technical videos about starting a blog but this one really hit on the emotional side of things that keep many of us with a dream stuck and stagnant. Thanks for the pep talk! I am about 3/5 of the way towards launching my blog and let me tell you I'm already so over it! *Sigh* But I have to keep reminding myself to learn to love the process if I ever hope to be successful. I have a strong niche with little to no competition, so that is an added plus. I am a strong writer. No one else I know writes a blog so that goes to show, if it were really that easy everyone would be making a blog. One of my largest pitfalls is trying not to be a perfectionist. WE CAN DO THIS!
Happy to subscribe for this honesty. If I have to pick only one nugget of encouragement (yes, they are not hard truths, to me) it is:
"You are not loosing followers. Your following is actually becoming much more loyal and stronger to you". Sooo good! Thank you. If I were to pick a second nugget it is, paraphrased, "these whatevers are skills you'll learn as soon as you start blogging". Love it! Thanks for sharing your experience.

I like how you really talk about those personal self doubt challenges that are natural for everyone. For some reason sometimes we think it only happens to us.

Thank you for your honest advice. I’ve been told for YEARS to start my own blog. Because I have a talent in writing, this became easy. But there’s a BIG DIFFERENCE between blogging and writing essays. I have a page on Facebook that I am trying to grow now that I’ve finished school. But the professional blogging world is a little intimidating, even with the 174 followers that I have on Facebook. I’m not looking to become an instant success, but to help people along the way, and do what I love most, which is have deep conversations with various people.

I know that this video is 2 years old now, but the advice is still evergreen. Thank you so much for this! I just started an art channel on youtube and also an art page on instagram, but recently I've been thinking of maybe also doing an art blog just so that I get heard more. At first its going to be hard really and could be slightly terrifying but you’re literally just writing words and clicking that “publish” button lmao. I kept on saying “I’m never gonna succeed in this” before i start posting, I haven’t succeeded yet but im glad i overcome that voice and actually started. Hoping good stuff for you! Thanks for this video, I wanted to start a blog sometime during the pandemic and literally went through all of this and the places I was following just kept saying I was going to earn money in weeks if I just follow the steps, how naive I was! I don’t want to give up but after watching this I think I should take some time to really work on it first~

Quick question about blogging, do I have to focus on making money on there or just start and you’ll get paid if things turned out perfect? I don’t really care about money, I just enjoy journaling and helping others.
Usually you should try and think of ways to make money before you start if that’s your goal. But since it’s not, it’s still a good thing to find ways to bring in income while doing something you love :)
Remember to provide people something of value and the money will follow
I use reddit and facebook groups to gain an audience. If my strength is helping women going through domestic violence for example... i join dv groups and offer my help based on my experiences. When i have established myself as a helpful person, if rules allow, i share my blog articles. This stretegy allows you to stay faithful to your goal of helping others vs making money

Thank you for your honesty. I started a blog 3 yrs ago, I was so excited about it but, true, it was a lot of spinning my wheels and I was inconsistent and stopped posting. The WORST part of it (for me) is the programing side. Setting it up too me 2 months and I HATED it. I have been paying the annual fee just because it's still a dream of mine and there's NO WAY I would go thru that again, EVER. Just looking at the programming language gives me anxiety, it's like trying to read in Arabic...it makes zero sense. Right now, I would LIKE to change my email subscriber company, but I'm too scared to plug it in anywhere. Also, my FB was deleted and I started a new one but have no idea how to plug it in to the programming languge on Wordpress. I suppose I could ask THEM but I'm frozen in fear of messing it up big time. Thank you for this video--you make it sound just like investing in real estate....lots of hard work with one big payoff at the end. In this country we are so used to work all week/month and get the pay off way sooner.
Tyler Moore has great videos on how to set up a Wordprsss website. He did a recent one on how to make a blog and it’s a great! I hope this helps.
Hello fellow blogger, I'll tell you one thing that will blow your mind: you don't need to code to start a blog!
WordPress self-hosted is the most recommended option, but it's not the only platform out there.
I was dreading logging in to my site 1 year ago, but I changed and now I'm much more consistent writing for the blog. Still, don't have the success I want, but I'm getting there.

It is really hard to find someone who is geniune and honest as you, i really do appreciate that side of your persoanlity. I ve been watching few videos on how can you profit from blogging but no one and im saying no absolute soul have talked about the ongoing and hard process of making content and promote it and the struggles you may face while doing so.
You really have inspired me more than i ve actually thought and being patient seems to be the key and that just elevate my will more than any of how to create a blog and earn 40000$ from it !

I just now stumbled across this and I'm loving it so far. I'm one of several admins on a Facebook page that got up to maybe 3-4 thousand followers it's first couple years then blew up fairly quickly to seventeen thousand where it's finally slowed drastically for now due to Facebook bot violation 😒. Brutal as hell putting yourself out there initially yes.
