  • In this video, I demonstrate how to work around the region mute bug in Logic Pro. To my knowledge, this is affecting versions 10.8, 11, and 11.01. Thanks. #logicpro #logicprox #tutorial

Thanks Josh. I’ve had this happen no end of times and ended up scratching my head like Cyraxx trying to work out what I’d done wrong.

Did you submit this bug to logic feedback page ?
They really need to be bombarded with all the bugs and features that are really wanted

Have you found one that adds random fader data in midi regions and hides it in region volume automation ?

    • @zmix
      @zmix Před 17 dny

Check your MIDI setup to see if you have any external device sending an erroneous message that is being interpreted as automation. data Also, try resetting Controller Assignments to restore them their defaults.

@@zmix I tried this too, sometimes it prints fader data when I’m recording and move the logic track fader with my mouse, like it would if I was using the ‘touch’ function.

@@zmix At the moment yes it seems to have worked which is amazing thank you. Fingers crossed it stays away now.

@MusicTechHelpGuy This is not a Logic bug. Check your MIDI setup to see if you have any external device sending an erroneous message that is interpreted as a mute automation. Also, try resetting Controller Assignments to restore them their defaults.

Incorrect. That is the first thing I tried. Also reset all key commands. Also reset the logic settings. Trashed the Plist and completely reinstalled logic since it first started happening in 10.8. It only happens with audio tracks for me. It tends to happen when I am printing audio down to another track, the old school way. Something about the audio track I’m printing to being muted, is causing the new audio regions to have region mute automation. Def not how it’s supposed to work.

This might be a clue: "Something about the audio track I’m printing to being muted, is causing the new audio regions to have region mute automation"
I'll see what I can do to help, stay tuned.

Just opened a fresh project and repeated the process of printing one audio track down to another. It worked fine with and without that option turned on. It's an intermittent problem, it doesn't happen all the time. Maybe 6-8 throughout the past year.

@@MusicTechHelpGuy Thanks for the update. Can you describe the steps you take when printing one audio track down to another?

  • @13thJ

I have been experiencing two bugs
1st bug is stock pitch shift causing crashes
2nd bug is Serum regions being muted by logic writing automation with master volume on Serum synth. Like you I never used master volume automation but the fix is the same as yours just delete the automation
Logic is slipping in my opinion
If they wont fix these bugs much less give new interface for utility gain (that knob is worthless for setting your volume) or redesigning alchemy's interface to be more user friendly
Nope they gave us a lame bass and drummer update
    Seriously slippin
