Watched the video from the beginning to the end. Minister connects with his Singaporean audience very well. His answers were very genuine. Look forward to more light hearted videos from them.

I am not Minister Chan’s ‘men’, but the facts show that he is both top class academically and military wise. He is the only Major General in his class. SM Lee or Tan CJ only reached Brigadier. As Education Minister, he is able to blend well and so nice to children and all. Respect.

What ever the type of system you use, the better students are always at the top, the slower students are always at the bottom. Besides genes, altitude and motivation are other important factors that separate one child from another. If you have poor genes, hard luck. The best thing to do under such circumstances is to stop multiplying yourself; save a lot of pain and hardship later on. Good luck.

Competition for top-ranked schools is unhealthy and has inflicted serious psychological damage, according to mental health professionals, on our children.

Why Co ed school not really co ed? Isnt boys and girls should be balanced about the same amount in co ed? Some schools like specialized school isnt co ed, some class only has 1 girl. Isnt this too exaggerated imbalanced? Even the CCA cater to boys only are so much higher than only girls with the ratio of 4 to 1. This type of environment creates a gender despise and moral problem for the female students. It also limits the capability and learning environment.

The sad reality about Singapore is that THIS GUY is offered into power. No one voted for him. He basically went from post of "minister" ..................... to "minister". If Singapore was TRUE "democracy" there needs to be a vote that allows people to choose who they want as the Education Minister (preferably principle of school.)
