Watched the video from the beginning to the end. Minister connects with his Singaporean audience very well. His answers were very genuine. Look forward to more light hearted videos from them.
I am not Minister Chan’s ‘men’, but the facts show that he is both top class academically and military wise. He is the only Major General in his class. SM Lee or Tan CJ only reached Brigadier. As Education Minister, he is able to blend well and so nice to children and all. Respect.
The joy of learning
@ individual pace !
It isn't about competition
Nor induction of stress
What ever the type of system you use, the better students are always at the top, the slower students are always at the bottom. Besides genes, altitude and motivation are other important factors that separate one child from another. If you have poor genes, hard luck. The best thing to do under such circumstances is to stop multiplying yourself; save a lot of pain and hardship later on. Good luck.
Educational never only use test paper and exam a scores/ grade to gather their ability to allocate them to which brand of school.
Where did the other video go? Mistaken upload? The one with the kids on the side of the divider of Minister Chan
why did CNA private the other video where he talked to the kids?
Man jus made no mid year exams for his kids💀
My child suggest that primary school toilet cubicles should have toilet paper rather than putting one big roll at the entrance like Malaysia toilets.
Seriously? There is so much more important questions to ask the education minister but the questions to him is about his parents and some uniform??
my thoughts exactly. little to no mentions of the recent changes to education system which they purported to discuss about
@@teas7063let alone, he cant even answer the uniform question properly let alone with “I dont know”. Cant imagine him handling alittle more serious question. If all the civil servant and the whole government is like that we’re all fcked istg.
Can I ask you a simple question...?
Where did cotton come from...? 😊
Should also ask him what is the point behind the questions?
Is there any Central or State board in Singapore?
wdym
Where’s regardless of grades?
Are you goin to Qifa primary school in May 02?
What...Thats my school!
no i dont need japanese bidets
all i need is a toilet that i can step into without urination on the groud or for squatting ones, no egestion on the side of the squat....
i would like to believe that im not asking for too much but since primary school it seems like im the odd one because others ppl seems to be fine with that hygine level lol
ok GE confirm this year. The ministers and mps are making their round on digital campaign lard.
Most of our teachers taught us that sheep produces wool.
baa baa black sheep have you any cotton
Is it correct that cotton comes from sheep?
Well I'm not sure about that, but I'm certain that Mr Cotton, congressman in US, is certainly a sheep.
Is our policy training Singaporeans to be critical thinkers or yes men?
“This is because education is not about competition with one’s classmates but learning through collaboration and teamwork with one’s peers,” he noted. Competition for top-ranked schools is unhealthy and has inflicted serious psychological damage, according to mental health professionals, on our children.
"ask me anything" ,then proceeds to do some censorship..
Why Co ed school not really co ed? Isnt boys and girls should be balanced about the same amount in co ed? Some schools like specialized school isnt co ed, some class only has 1 girl. Isnt this too exaggerated imbalanced? Even the CCA cater to boys only are so much higher than only girls with the ratio of 4 to 1. This type of environment creates a gender despise and moral problem for the female students. It also limits the capability and learning environment.
Streaming should not there
On using education to reduce inequality, Prof Tambyah pointed out that school- and class-ranking be scrapped. Schools will not segregate pupils according to their examination results.
Why he always talk like he is a general to civilians.
The answer lies in the cabinet we have before us. There is a sameness about the ministers - the sameness of men and women cut from the same cloth, straight from the same assembly line.
The sad reality about Singapore is that THIS GUY is offered into power. No one voted for him. He basically went from post of "minister" ..................... to "minister". If Singapore was TRUE "democracy" there needs to be a vote that allows people to choose who they want as the Education Minister (preferably principle of school.)
You are one sour grape 😂
which democracy practice your idea? NONE!😂
zero value listening to him
The SDP believes that education must be the process where an individual learns to discover oneself and, in doing so, endeavour to improve the human condition.
People don't believe in SDP as such it is not a member of parliament.
We need changes in sg pap isn’t that great to say they are doing a good job while ignoring their mistakes that is dishonest
To compound the mystery and the confusion, Minister Chan Chun Sing said that the ultimate competition is “Team Singapore, comprising Singaporeans, the PRs and even the foreign workforce … competing to give Singaporeans the best chance possible.”
For the sake of our nation’s future, it is important that we teach our children that reading and learning can be enjoyable and intrinsically rewarding.
Rubbish education minsiter
You can do better?
@@Chessplayer81837this felllow is always around to spin it negatively anything and everything…. haha….
Disagree. Only a capable person is able to hold the position.
Then u r junk..u can't even spell minister correctly.
He made alot of reforms for the education in Singapore to reduce stress
I really feel that he is an Education Minister who does his best; he should really be appreciated
Pap is a joke and not competent
I am sure you have a very good point, sir. However, you may want consider forgeting your singaporean accent and intonation. Indonesians like me find it's hard to believe you are in fact addressing important issues. My god.
He is a Singapore minister addressing issues for Singapore schools. Why is there a need to change his accent? Singaporeans like me find it hard to believe you need to pick on such issues. Stop living in your own world. The world doesn’t revolve around you. My god.
Can you imagine a Singaporean minister in Singapore speaking in a normal, Singaporean manner? My god.
@@kelvinkelvin2601 I guess you may be 100% right. But whatever. Many find singaporean accent is ludicrously amusing. Can't take them seriously when talking.
@@rufftoj that's actually discrimination
@@rufftoj Exactly. The Singapore accent makes one seem like they dropped out of kindergarten.
