I see everyone commenting that the movie is so dark you can’t see it, I watched this last night and don’t regret it! The reason it’s dark is because it’s set in the the 1840’s, so no electricity, only sunlight, darkness, candles and oil lamps, that said, it was a very good movie gif you like a creepy slow burning thriller with a little horror and mystery. People spoke in low tones because that was the culture, no loud boisterous speaking or unnecessary words and movements, otherwise you may be considered proud and a nuisance who is desperate for uncouth attention…. For the full effect of this film turn off the lights, and watch without any noises to distract, it’s part of building the suspense
U discribe in very well maners, but some F not understand and yelling dark...dark... , low brightness . Movie show a real scene of living style of people and behaving each other with full of respect & manners

I have a problem with the way some of these horror movies portray Christianity. While I'm not entirely sure the Bible says God's word and the most perfect way, as a Christian if I saw a man I sold a woman, I would literally lift him up by his skull and crush it. I'm 6 foot 4 250 pounds and God blessed me with my strength. And if I ever see a man heard a woman in the name of God, I'll snap every bone in his body. I was raised by a strong independent female. I don't appreciate this portrayal of Christianity against women. If anybody ever hurt my mother, they'd be in the hospital for life, if not Dead by my hands. Christianity in today's day and age has been become so perverted it's ridiculous. If anybody ever hurts a woman in front of me I don't care about equal rights equal fights, I care about my classiness as a male to literally lift a man up and crush his neck with my bare hands. That's where violence against women lies in my state of mind
