Thanks for posting this! Always good to have an example to work off of, and there aren't many installs that feature brick walls. One question though, I read with many of these sealants that you aren't suppose to tool them or smooth them out. The instructions also specify that the joint should be convex. Do you think this matters in the end? It looks like trash if you don't tool it, so I'm trying to figure out if this is one of those instructions that can be ignored of if it is indeed a warning to heed.

Is this considered a retrofit window? Seems like you took out the old frame, so I'm assuming this would be considered a "new construction" window. Is that right?
I don't see you use aluminum flashing, on my brick house I have aluminum around my windows and I really don't like it. Do I have to go back with it?
