“Crazy enough it wasn’t someone like Mace Windu or even Anakin Skywalker” then reveals it’s shockingly the most powerful and experienced Jedi.
right? There’s only 1 left 😂
@@chrisaguirre4771Not to mention it's ridiculous because Dooku's training boiled down to letting some mechanical hands rotate lightsabers in a monotone pattern which is something probably any jedi could handle. Obi Wan didn't waste much time severing those hands being left to fight an enemy that doesn't know how to handle a lightsaber.

@@miimiibeschde4818 I remember hearing that Mace and Grevious did fight once before. Mace ended up running away cuz Grevious A.I. was helping him mimic Mace's fighting style which utilizes the force. @fives. Not true. Palpatine was already in the process of being kidnapped when Mace Windu showed up and crushed Grievous' chest. Kidnapping Palpatine was what that entire battle was about, and it ended with Mace crushing Grievous' chest.

Dunno why Star Wars fans are so passionate about spreading propaganda against General Grievous, but the dude literally fought n' held his own against Yoda in canon. Grievous was literally mad the fight was cut short. There were zero signs of fear in Grievous.
@@tronovonflidder775 In canon ? Sure thing dude
Pretty sure everyone fears yoda by default
And ironically enough, Grievous is literally one of the very few villains that shows no fear towards Yoda. He was even mad the fight didn't last longer. This video is spreading false information.
@@tronovonflidder775I don't think fear is even really something he's even capable of feeling anymore. They probably programmed it out of him.
Even when Maul had a lightsaber to his throat or when he was speared and dragged off by an army of Gungans, he was more reservedly angry than anything.
He does retreat a lot, but that's just because he's not an idiot.
@@maxburrill6192
Finally someone gets it. Grievous has never been shown as an insecure character that allows noise to cloud him. He does only what he deems necessary and truly believes he's better than all the Jedi n' wants to kill them all. He doesn't, "fear them," or need any specific requirements to engage them. He does what he thinks is appropriate in the moment, at any given time. No more, no less.

Everyone feared yoda. Even Palpatine when they were fighting in the senate building.
For good reason, if that fight gone on Yoda would have had him. He was playing defensively until reinforcements came.
He was so afraid that he only used one lightsaber when he fought Yoda in the comics
Yes, he was so absolutely terrified he actively got mad as hell when the fight got interrupted & Yoda retreated. Yes, truly terrified.
He wasn’t doing too shabby against Yoda either lol the droids actually interfered before Grievous got too serious
Not to mention his durability was insane in that fight taking a lightsaber slash right to the face and taking 0 damage from it
I was looking for this
@@tronovonflidder775i swear fandom overrates Yoda's lightsaber skill way too much, he is inferior in lightsaber to Anakin, Mace and Dooku, he is more of a wise old grandmaster that is good at seeing future with force and leading jedi with his wisdom rather than being strongest in the jedi order
@@humoyun6036
I mean, I wouldn't personally be so bold as to rate his skills like that myself, but the fanbase is clearly biased to no end. If they're not pulling from some non-canon legends statement to make their favourite characters out to look better than they actually are, they're straight up making shit up from nothing, like such is the case with the Yoda & Grievous fight. Yoda wasn't, "not trying to kill Grievous," he literally made an attempt on his life, like wtf lmao? And Grievous wasn't scared, he was mad that the fight ended lol. The narrative of the story made this very clear.
But no, you're right. For someone so highly rated, Yoda spends an awfully lot of his time in fights, not getting shit done. Couldn't take in a fatigued Dooku, couldn't put down Sidious for good, (though he did disarm him), and now failed at slaying Grievous, not from lack of trying neither. A Grievous who's underestimating him, no less.

On the other hand: HELLO THERE!
It was Kenobi not Windu, and he didn’t crush it, he pried open his armor exposing his heart which he then deep fried with a blaster
@@gnipacave In the movie, yes. In the original Clone Wars series when the chancellor was being taken away, Mace crushed Grievous’s rib cage and damaged him.
@@gnipacavewindu is the reason for grievous' constant coughing fits
Yoda's small size truthfully gives him a lot of advantages in a fight.
Wouldn’t Grievous be better at countering Yoda than anyone? Each of his arms is faster than most jedis.
@@ghostpiratelechuck2259 Most Jedi, yes. However, it's shown Windu & Obi-Wan can match him, so Yoda no doubt could too.
@@thebiss1846anakin would as well, since an ability (I think force rage is what it’s called) would amp him up when it comes to speed and strength.
@@axinhedgelion8417 See, I'm always debating that in my head. Palpatine possibly made sure Grievous was never alone with Anakin because he might kill him, but at the same time, he did say Anakin should be sent to go after Grievous. It's always tricky to tell who would win.
Lightsaberfidgetspinner
There’s also another reason if you have seen that Star Wars series, where it goes back in time to when most of the Jedi what is a Padawan shows that Count Dooku’s master was originally Yoda before he turned to the dark side meaning that Yoda trained Count Dooku for most of his life which proves him to be more powerful than general, grievous as master
I did not know that! Thank you for sharing that information with us. Very kind of you to do so.
(My information has grown and I am now stronger in the Force. Soon I will be ready to challenge another person to a duel.)
Actually, that doesn't prove anything. Yes, Yoda was obviously more powerful than Dooku for as long as he trained him. Otherwise, there would be nothing to teach him. But Dooku grew well beyond that over several decades, to the point where he was pretty much Yoda's equal in duelling by the time of Episode 2. It's likely Yoda would have won if Dooku didn't decide to escape instead, but we'll never know for sure.
So Dooku was indeed powerful during the clone wars. Someone being the master of someone else doesn't really tell us that much, because like Yoda says in 8: "We are what they grow beyond. That is the true burden of all masters." Now, this isn't always the case, but generally speaking the knowledge of the Force increases with time. Because everyone can rediscover the secrets of those who came before. Genocides like Order 66 obviously resets the knowledge base, even more would have been lost if Sheev got every Jedi. Not that he cared about their dogmatic narrow view.
Now, Yoda would mop the floor with Grievous but not because he was the master of his mentor at one point several decades prior. Yoda was simply one of the most powerful Jedi in galactic history and still in his prime during Grievous' lifetime. And Grievous never reached capabilities enough to contend with him. But he certainly would have killed Yoda in Episode 6, which means that circumstances change indefinitely.
To be clear, Qui-Gon was the master of Anakin's master. That doesn't mean that Qui-Gon would beat an Episode 3 Anakin. Actually, in that movie Dooku was beaten by his padawan's padawan's padawan. Him being Anakin's master's master's master didn't matter anymore. I don't think I can make it more clear than that.
@@Sandlund93 why do you expect me to read all this?

Yoda on a machine gun be like: Piss me off, you have!
The idea of Yoda using a machine gun is hilarious. XD
There was a starwars comic where Yoda actually did do that just to destroy an entire army of troopers
The other reason might be that Yoda also had over 800 years of lightsaber experience in all the forms.
I like to think Yoda’s 800yrs of experience alone could frighten him…after all, could you image the size of Grievous’s lightsaber collection with that same amount of time…
If Yoda had started collecting lightsabers back then, Grievous would’ve became his #1 fan…
Grevious: Stop dodging and jumping around so much
Yoda: touch this you can not. Not even your mother could
Mace Windu in Ep3 novel said, that Grievous' computer brain was constantly learning while fighting with someone, and since many Jedi choose fencing form to compensate their weaknesses, "for example master Yoda's being his height", that'd be something Grievous will inevitably overcome and successfully kill his opponent. He also stated that he dueled Grievous and after some time even his famous unbreakable Vaapad form started to lack effectiveness against cyborg.
Oh, *important* note: that was SW canon _before_ Dave Filoni's abomination came into existence.
Right, if only someone reminded the Jedi they're in a war, so use the bloody Force and ragdoll the tin-can or crush him. No reason to even get the lightsaber out.
Grievus is probably to heavy to be force push by most jedi ( in the movies you follow the most powerfull jedi's and they strugle to move heavy things most of the time ( funny enouf yoda as the most impressive lifting feats so in my head cannon thats what yoda would do to grievus))
Grievous literally tanked Yoda's force attack. They can't do shit to him, his armour is too durable. And in most cases, he's too quick n' aggressive in combat to even be caught by force grapple attacks.
I'm sure they built him with that possibility in mind. If it were that easy, everyone would do it.
They had no creativity. Attack the fleshy part. I little telekinesis could burst blood vessels or obstruct blood flow to the brain. Crush the heart from within. Jedi would make excellent assassins
If Vader can use the force to collapse someone's trachea and choke them, it's hard to believe another jedi couldn't use the force to pull out a key robotic component to disable Grievous. Or just play force tug of war with him, Yoda could lift an X-Wing. Have on jedi grab his leg and another his head and just pull in opposite directions.
Realistically you should be screwed if you have no force telekinesis resistance. Just way too many things they can do to you.
