#shorts #starwars #jedi Why Anakin HATED Training With Yoda in Star Wars Source: Age of the Republic: Obi-Wan Kenobi Comic Music by: @PatrikPietschmann
I just was thinking this. Also that Obi-Wan was sort of at fault. He enabled Anikin to ignore the discipline training, meaning he would be more susceptible to the dark side. Like a parent that wants to be their kid’s friend before they hit adulthood. It’s crazy.
His arrogance in childhood that he is far better than the other children and that he’s unable to meditate, should‘ve been a major red flag for the Jedi‘s
You know it doesn't have to be skill. Do you even know what meditation is? I didn't want to come off as a rude person, but You know what I'm trying to say, right? Yoda is not called the wisest Jedi just simply because he is skilled.
@@Marleigh_san It's almost like star wars isn't real and meditation with the force would have made him alot more adept in it Leading to being more skillful in its usage rather then just the natural advantages he had
@tatsumi2358 The reason you meditate (in Star Wars) is in order for you to be closer to the force. Feel its presence. You know, "become one with the force?" Which, according to real life, you meditate to achieve inner peace. If you want skill, learn tai chi. It's literally the most peaceful exercise that, In Star Wars, any wise Jedi would recommend learning if they knew about it. It's the most useful in combat synchronized with the use of the force.
So it seems most of these comments are missing the fact that Anakin didn’t like to learn the importance of meditating from the Grand master because he was prideful and arrogant and believed he was better than everyone
To be fair, he was, and that was made very obvious, but it was his pride *in* that fact that was the issue. But to also be fair, Anakin was bullied by all the other Padawans and Younglings, which probably just reinforced his pride that he was, in reality, still better than them.
I love that Obi-Wan knew that Anakin wasn’t a meditating Jedi but a physical combat Jedi so he decided to train Anakin better he had to have Anakin watch how he worked on dangerous missions as he learns through more interesting ways
Definitely a poor decision by Obi Wan. Anakin lacked discipline. Yes Anakin excelled at the physical aspects of being a Jedi but he needed to improve on the spiritual aspects as well.
This is a pretty important detail and it shows why obi wan was a flawed teacher. While it makes him look like a good guy that “knows” anakin, it highlights that he was more of a brother than a mentor. Anakin has a flawed idea of what a Jedi is. He just wants to be a superhero and he became incredibly violent because of it. A little bit of meditation and actually learning what Jedi do when they’re not swinging swords could have went a long way for him. For comparisons sake, obi wan disliked qui gon too because he made him study all day instead of fight, and obi wan became the ideal Jedi.
It's interesting because you can really look at it two ways: From Obi Wan's perspective it was probably a waste of time for Anakin since he was so non-inclined towards what Yoda was trying to teach him. On the other side of things though, what Yoda was trying to teach him was exactly what Anakin REALLY needed. Anakin was a prodigy and a great warrior, but he really needed his temperament and mentality shifted and toned. Because that never happened, we saw what became of him and his hubris. The sad truth is, Anakin probably never should've been trained in the force. He was too talented and already too forged in his thinking, to really take on the Jedi principles. Ideally though, somewhere between Obi Wan and Yoda, if Anakin could've found that balance, that would've been the best version of himself.
Basically Qui-Gon isn't it? The rightly-aged fatherly figure that knows when to discipline and when to let loose. Yoda is wise in the force and the Jedi code but he muat have really sucked at actually teaching life lessons.
@@UNSFconsidering how he trained Luke and Starkiller by sending them through a cave to have visions, his methods might be a little hard to go along with
Funnily: Anakin really took to Obi-Wan's style of meditation, which is a moving meditation. So it wasn't that he wouldn't learn it, it was that Yoda refused to teach Anakin in a way that connected with him. Also Anakin often, repeadly picked on and bullied by the other (older) students when he was in class with them and part of that was him being in classes with "babies". It really is like taking a child that has ADHD and forcing them to sit still, then punishing them when they fail, then punishing them more when they get bullied for it (which Anakin was). I think Anakin's lessons from his mother really are close to what Jedi should be (Mom, you said that the biggest problem in the universe is no one helps each other.) and that 100% should have been built on.
He should have learned from the old master. Yoda knew where Anakin was strong, and where he was weak. These sessions were meant to humble him, and center him in the force. I like how there were signs all along as to the man he would become.
Anakin: These classmates of mine are so boring. They don't care about fighting. Maybe one day I'll challenge them to a fight and see what happens. That'll show them...
@@VadersOrder makes sense because their missions were another reason why they were so close and how obi wan hated what he did to anakin on mustafaar, but he had no choice
Goes to show that the Jedi never understood Anakin. They treated him like he was already raised in the Temple instead of a SLAVE. Good on Obi-Wan for being a good master and noticing this.
Obi-Wan also trained him in the way he thought the council wanted him to be trained. And it's not like those on the council thought they should lend a hand during that time or sth
Yeah, the struggle being that the Jedi council refused to save Anakin's mother from slavery or let her son visit her, but they still had the nerve to not trust him.
The hubris of the Jedi was their ultimate downfall, though. With the untimely death of QuiGon, Anakin only had The Jedi Order (which didn't trust him anyway...& Anakin KNEW IT) as an "anchor" for his social interactions with others. ObiWan only took on Anakin as a padawan because of his promise to his Master QuiGon to do so...not because he believed Anakin to BE The Chosen One...but because QuiGon believed it. The Jedi Council used Anakin as a pawn for The Order...& Palpatine (hiding in plain sight as The Sith Lord) used Anakin as a pawn for his ultimate plan of his "Supreme Galactic Rule" & simultaneously for the destruction of The Jedi. Palps was in it for the long-game. Anakin was his tool. The ONLY PERSON Anakin loved (Padme Amidala) died pathetically of the "broken heart" that she had...NOT realizing Anakin's frustration over The Galactic Republic, its Senate & The Jedi using Anakin as a pawn. If Star Wars was real and I was strong in the force my inspiration would be Revan and I’d do anything to achieve that, even spending days meditating at a time, Anakin said he was going to become the most powerful jedi ever but never seemed to show promise to do anything to achieve that since he seems to only have the basics, no force judgement, no force heal

The meditation would have taught him to master the light and dark side but he ain’t want that . He chose raw power instead of honing the force and balancing both sides .
Meditation and inner tranquility is the first and foundational corner stone of being a Jedi. If anakin failed to do that they should have pushed him harder to do it. All of these micro instances compound into anakin grow into a strong Jedi yes….but one with little to ZERO self control to the point where he was confused by fear around revenge of the Sith. Anakin’s inner demons grew fatter and louder and even though he grew in skill he never conquered them so they eventually conquered him and he turned into Vader. This is why I always said if Mace Windu , Anya Kuro, or Qui Gon had been Anakin’s master not only would he have been two to three times more powerful by revenge of the Sith but he would felt no pull to the dark side. Whether it was anakkn staying as a Jedi and eventually becoming a master inevitably beating the Sith through the original path or him defeating the Sith by becoming Vader and meeting his son it would have happened regardless. but if Anakin learned self mastery his path would have been very different. I actually imagine if Anakin remained a Jedi and defeated Sidious never become Vader even if he breaks the Jedi code by having children he would have done sooooo much along with his countless victories during the clone wars anakin may have been the one Jedi to help reshape the order into what Luke eventually rebuilt it to be. A Jedi order strongly rooted in the light side but one that doesn’t fear the dark side. One that embraces love and empowers its Jedi to grow through love even if it hurts you instead of did running away from it

Well although I agree with Yodas training so that all of them could learn to focus clearer and clearer within the force as a whole throughout the enormous galaxy it's already complicated enough to focus on just your stance and position in the overall galaxy within the force and if one could learn to focus clearly enough to keep their focus on their position at all times like Yoda then they too could learn to do the impossible many times over and finally because if one ever has to deal with another in a clash with hatred yes with someone who refuses peace no matter what, this focus can be used to show another the galaxy from another point of view though learning this is complicated and very hard the rewards are obviously unlimited amounts changing situations of impossible peace and that is worth far more than simply learning to defeat others in combat. Defeating others in combat is nothing hard compared to this at all. When defeating others the Sith kill and Jedi sometimes have no choice but to kill especially Sith and it is a shame and can unbalance a Jedi if they are not able to stay in focus in the force again proving its value. Of course some say thats all good granted, but they say maybe if all those younglings were instead training with Yoda to fight they wouldn't have all been wiped out by Anakin and the 501st years later !! Sad sad it is they all died , retconned it should have been so that they were the first to be sent away !! Or at least captured and turned twisted into the dark jedis we know wich may have actually been worse since this would cause more death not only theirs.
Anakin's problem throughout his entire life was his arrogance and that includes his time spent as Vader, up until he turned back to the light to save Luke and realized all the wrong he did. Personally, I would have preferred training under Yoda over most other Jedi. That'd most likely mean lightsaber training would come next to last but I'd imagine the reason for that would be to strengthen the connection with the Force, to better understand it and solidify the desire to remain in the light. That old fart never did anything without a good reason.
This is the reason why Anakin was so much weaker than he actually could have been. If He Had taken those Meditation Sessions seriously, he wouldn't have become Darth Vader
I love all the comments here being about how obi wan was right. But do yall really forget exactly how it ended? Maybe if Anakin had spent more time meditating and learning to be in control of himself, he wouldn’t have turned to the dark side? If he’d shown more patience and reserve, he wouldn’t make rash reckless decisions. Like murdering tuskans in a fit of rage, or rushing count dooku and losing a hand, or killing mace windu and younglings to try and avoid a fate that he would ultimately cause, or try to take obi wan on the high ground and lose the rest of his limbs……
It would have done him good practice patience and thinking not just how to swing a lightsaber , that was Anakin weakness his aggression no patience didn't take much of frustrate him then he get overly aggressive he eventually lead him to getting his arm and legs sliced off inner peace Anakin easly distracted his constant fear of losing people he loved his mother's death kicked off the process of going down the path no return ultimately leading to is worst nightmare losing his women , doing the stuff that isn't fun is normally the most important part of training
So Yoda influenced another person he taught personally to turn to the dark side. I’m starting to see a trend. The only person that saved themselves was Luke.

Or at least captured and turned twisted into the dark jedis we know wich may have actually been worse since this would cause more death not only theirs.
i always imagined this would be the case to be taught by or assigned to yoda. turns out i was right i guess.
Do was there any force sensitive clone troopers
We have a short on that in our "Clone Troopers Short" Playlist if it helps! 😊
Short answer: Yoda is boring
Anakin's problem throughout his entire life was his arrogance and that includes his time spent as Vader, up until he turned back to the light to save Luke and realized all the wrong he did.
Personally, I would have preferred training under Yoda over most other Jedi. That'd most likely mean lightsaber training would come next to last but I'd imagine the reason for that would be to strengthen the connection with the Force, to better understand it and solidify the desire to remain in the light. That old fart never did anything without a good reason.
He probably would have benefited from continuing to train with yoda.
Then obi-Wan was very much a fool . Yoda knew what he was doing
I don’t rock w/ yoda either!! I’m gonna keep it a hundred lol
W yoda
Does anyone know the song name ?
Because yoda was an old gool😂
Luke completed his training with yoda
He didn't
W Vader
This is the reason why Anakin was so much weaker than he actually could have been.
If He Had taken those Meditation Sessions seriously, he wouldn't have become Darth Vader
He hated it because he talked about sand all the time
I love all the comments here being about how obi wan was right. But do yall really forget exactly how it ended? Maybe if Anakin had spent more time meditating and learning to be in control of himself, he wouldn’t have turned to the dark side? If he’d shown more patience and reserve, he wouldn’t make rash reckless decisions. Like murdering tuskans in a fit of rage, or rushing count dooku and losing a hand, or killing mace windu and younglings to try and avoid a fate that he would ultimately cause, or try to take obi wan on the high ground and lose the rest of his limbs……
how do you know did yoda and darth sit down with you as the mediator
Anakin was always dumb 😂
Cause they were the same size
Anakin was better and more gifted and talented then the other kids this wasn't anakin being stubborn...this was him knowing his worth!!!
But it was anakin needed to learn to listen to the force and control his emotions more than he needed lightsaber training
