Sheep camp wood stove shootout

we get asked several times a week which wood stove is the best? That is a pretty loaded question if we have no more details than that you want a wood stove. Each of the stoves work exceptional at what they are intended to do. Our herd stove (the large stove with cooktop and oven) is a great survival resource providing the heat necessary to keep the living space cozy while allowing you the ability to cook on the top as well as bake in the oven. Our high efficiency stove is beautiful cosmetically and really provides that cabin feel by allowing you to see the fire burn but where this stove really shines in comparison to the herd stove is the burn time. With that being said though burn time isn't everything. These camps are insulated well enough that not much heat is required to keep the trailer nice and warm, meaning that once its warm they will hold that temperature for quite some time eliminating the need to continually stoke the fire. So i guess that the winner is......a tie! Each stove brings things to the table that are desirable so in the end its going to come down to what fits your needs best.

I still like a cook stove if I was to use it in the winter. Both look nice.

i still like the cook stove option with a choice between wood or the propane, i been in places where you were not allowed to burn you could however use propane to cook with

If I want to cook over wood,I'll build a fire outside. If I want to stay warm, I'll take the smaller stove with the glass front.
