Now that Blender 3.0 is in beta it is time for a little more advanced setup. In this tutorial Manuel will build a multi-layered growth effect. Fully procedural plants are scattered on a procedural terrain and controlled by an effector empty. They all grow individually and move with the wind. Learn how to stack geometry nodes setups on top of each other to increase complexity with these growing alien flowers.

Best tutorial ever, very clear and it contains precious tips. In 3.4 we don't have " Tranfer Attribute Node" at 16:00 , the new "Sample Index Node" worked very well connecting value to Group Input and then use the name that I gave for "Effector ". Thank you so much for this amazing tutorial!!!

I'm not sure if you know this but you can press the "pin icon" button (at the top of the editor on the right side of the name of the geometry node) for the node network to always be visible even when you select a different object (in your case when you selected the empty the nodegraph disappeared).
Also if you want to control a scale of the vector with a single value you can use the Vector math node set to "Scale" instead of the "Multiply"

15:00 in 3.4+, the transfer attribute is removed. To get around this, in the seeds object instead of creating a output for the effectorweight, I used the "store named attribute" node to add the attribute to the point. Then in the plant growth object, I access this data using the "sample index" node where the geometry param comes from the object info node of the seed layer, the value comes from a "named attribute" node that specifies the attribute previously named in the "store named attribute" node, and the index param comes from a "sample nearest" node that takes geometry from the object info. works well, and ignores the need for the weird input/output attributes.
