- This is a quick breakdown of how i got the 2D look in 3D Blender. I use a combination of 2D and 3D elements to get this look with the 2d Shader/2d Texture. I hope you'll like it ! Meanwhile, I will continue preparing new stuff, hopefully another breakdown or tutorial. #b3d

"4 long months of procrastination to complete" so god damn relatable
ayee! me too buddy. I took 6 months to finish my last project lol.
I shant not forgive how there is one out of place grassblade floating around, when this was so close to being a perfectly fine artwork with so many cool techniques...
Thanks for the feedback! I made the choose to keep it, as it made the scene more believable. But, I understand what you mean too. I will keep this in mind next time :)
@@IsacPandianconfused as to how that is more realistic as grass does not float in midair
Yo, bro. This is literally the birth moment of a new channel dedicated to interesting techniques in 3D, doing it cool! I love the pitch.

Hey Isaac, man don't doubt your skills! You are truly inspiring and quite a great tutor! Love your calm and informative vibe, I've learned a lot from this single tut, despite having couple years in blender. You took exactly the time you needed and the outcome is amazing! Reward your efforts, keep up the amazing work!
Thanks man, this means a lot. :)
Nice first video Isaac, this showed me how I could translate my illustration style to 3D. Subbed and looking forward to the next vid

i have been attempting to get this kind of look for months, this was somewhat helpful and looks great
I’m glad I was even a little helpful :)
Amazing Work. Loved it!!
Thanks a lot! :D
bro, what is the quality of this video? In the middle of it I tought "this sould be one of the biggest blender channels in the word" when i look, only 700 subs. I dont expect less than a exponencial grow of you! Congrats
Wow, really!? I will try my best to make this a reality. :D
Keep it up bro, nice stuff
Thanks! :)
That is soooo cool, thanks !
Glad you like it! :D
Super cool stuff. I will subscribe
so good!
Dude, I was very impressed with your video. I was stagnant and didn't know what my next project would be, it was weighing on me. Your video gave me the answer and now I'm trying to do something simillar in thatg technique. Oh hell, there's so much I don't know, but I'm insanely interested in figuring it all out. Right now I'm trying to figure out how to properly prepare a model for texturing in 3d painter and how to get it textured back into blender. Anyway - thank you for the video! You are very cool and you did a great job and cool video.
I understand your feeling. I have been there too. I am happy that I could be of any help.
Also, I would like to see the art you will be making too. Maybe you can share them to me as well when you are done ;)

Don’t worry, you will be able to do it :)
that flying piece of grass bothers me but I love the work you did, keep it up
Oh! i didn't realize that it could be bothering as well. I chose to keep it as it made it look more believable that its a painting. But yeah, i understand what you mean. Thank you so much for the feedback, i will keep this in mind.

This is awesome! I loved how you said how long it took. It sometimes feels like the magic internet people get things done so much quicker than me :P
Internet makes everything seem effortless, right? Haha
Really nice video Isaac! Don’t let it be another 4 months until the 2nd video 🙂👍
Haha, Deal! XD
Thank you for sharing your process, I love the result. I'm trying to do same thing for character. Time to learn substance painter, I'll probably b able to finish my project after 6 months of procrastination XD
Haha XD
For character you can check “Bran Sculpts” video. I have added the link to it in the description, it might be helpful.
It's a winning style 🏆
It just works. 🤩
Cool

Wow

@@IsacPandian honoured to be your first commenter and third subscriber when you blow up 🙏🏼
@@TSDzgn Infact, i am honored to have such a kind person like you in the community. :)
Absurdaly great video for a new guy on YT. I have just one suggestion, make your vids louder in LUFS units, your mic is too quiet (for comparison you can watch any Linus Tech Tips video). Great work bro!
Thanks for the tip! :)
this does looks like a 4 month long project.Good job!!!
Haha, thanks XD
Do you think you'll make a more in depth tutorial? Amazing work btw
Thanks a lot! :D I will be honest, Currently there’s no plan on releasing a full length tutorial on this specific art. But, I have uploaded the original project file for free on patreon-of which the link is in the description of the video.
Maybe this could be an alternative. I will be releasing the uncut and no Timelapse version of this on patreon. Don’t worry, I make them public so everyone can access them without worrying about paying ;)
I hope this helps :)
I mean I like your video and your 3D style. But why? Why do you use a title of "how to make this in Blender", while the main workflow to actually achieve that 2D painted style is to use Substance Painter, an Adobe app which costs above 15$ a month.
I’m glad that you liked it. Now to answer your question,
1. You don’t need substance painter, you can do this entire process completely in blender.
2. If you want to use standalone software-like substance painter, you can use free alternatives like Armour Paint or Quixel Mixer-both great software and did I mention they are free.
3. You don’t have to pay 15$ a month on substance painter. You can buy a perpetual license from”Steam”-the game store. It’s probably around 9.99$ once and we can use it for our lifetime (Keep in mind, if you buy this, you won’t get any updated. If they release a new version, you will have to buy again. But it’s still worth it)
Personally, I am using a perpetual license from I think as long as 2 years ago, and I never had any problem too.
Thanks for pointing this out. I should have mentioned something like this in the video, but, for now I will put this in the description.
Sorry if this is too long, I hope this helps!
@@IsacPandianI hope it is $9.99
I want more of this, A more in depth guide please
Definitely, I will work on that. :D
Just subscribed!
Really?! This means a lot!
I LOVE independent creators. and this is a great video thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching! :D
Good content bro
U got a subscriber
maybe voiceover a little bit louder and clear in next one
Noted! Thanks for the feedback. :D
In case if you did not notice, there is one flying grass there😄 overall, nice vid
Haha, yeah! This is the 3rd time I am hearing about this, haha. I actually didn’t realise that it could be bothering as well.
well done. would you do a tutorial for pay which you can add to your channel as well?
Maybe we can talk in detail through email.
I would like to let you know, that, I have a patreon. Which has more perks. Do check that out if that interest you.
So Nice video! Can I ask you from where you had your brushes for texturing ?
Thanks! :)
Those are really the free photoshop brushes you get from behance. Hope this helps.
Amazing work! Also how’d you get the chromatic aberration?
Using the ‘Lens Distortion’ node while composing. You can grab the project file for free. It’s in the video description
🎉 謝謝
amazing. give us more content.
also do you know of a good way to texture without paid software?
Thanks a lot! I am working on another video, so stay tuned :D
As to answer your question, You can use “quixel mixer” or “Armor Paint”. But if you want to stay in blender, you can easily do so.
Additional use can use “PSD-Layers” addon, it’s free and it will give you, just like the name, layers almost exactly like how it is in photoshop (I haven’t tried it though, but it should be a good option).
Instead of photoshop use can use “Krita” it’s an open source software- that even blender studio uses.
Hopefully, I helped a little with this!
FYI There's a floating blade of grass in the final shot.
Haha, yeah everyone’s been pointing that out XD
we want a full tutorial in this plsssssss
Wow! Everyone wants a full tutorial. I will add this to the list. Thanks a lot for the suggestion. :D
great jop
You deserve a 4 month break!
Hahaha xD
Woww thats amazing ngl. Can you make some beginner friendly videos? 👉🏻👈🏻
Well, I am working on something that is actually beginner friendly, so, stick around ;)
please do subtance painter detailed tutorial
I would love to! What’s your preference, stylised like this or realistic texturing?
Can you please drop a 15 minute long tutorial on texture projection? In blender 4.0
Thanks for suggesting this. This is a great idea. I am actually thinking of making a course. It will probably for free or extremely cheap. Maybe that would interest you!
