I loved that tutorial, it was so useful
Wait… You’re the INTERLINKED guy! That one has lived in my head rent free ever since I first saw it!
I sharted
@@youraveragechroma2139 Yay!!!
Man, this is the type of video that really makes me want to take the plunge into youtube content with my already existing blender knowledge. HOW DARE YOU MAKE ME WANT TO CREATIVLY EXPLORE THINGS!
read that as creatively explode things

These people inspire me to finally finish that blender doughnut tutorial.
no, you musn't.
@@pou-c He who masters the doughnut, masters the universe.
@@tbotalpha8133 the doughnut scared me into just jumping into making characters instead and it seems like i could probably make the donut from scratch
I personally think I got pretty good at blender using a different tutorial, I had no idea how infamous that one was until a lot of people talked about it out it and referenced it. There’s a couple videos online by these people called CG Fasttrack that they have for free (before you buy their course) that were very good for setting me up with the basic knowledges of blender.
Genuinely this style is one of my favourite on CZcams! Mostly because it lets people express themselves individually, like Funke (as you mentioned) has a vastly different style to you, to everyone else. It’s a nice break from the homogeneity of the MrBeastification of youtube imo
As a professional animator who primarily uses Maya, I can absolutely agree that Blender is so fun to use.
Especially Grease Pencil which opens up so many possibilities for combining 2D with 3D. ♥
Grease Pencil is literally my wife and I would die for her
Grease pencil blew my mind when i found out how easy it was to use
I wish i could get it to show up behind translucent objects tho 😞 there's prob a way, blender is so powerful
I have always struggled with what I should call myself on this platform, 3DTuber is such a perfect name
As someone who often makes decisions based on "how fun they are" (I do game dev as a job haha), it makes me super stoked to see someone else be so genuinely excited and happy and enthusiastic about their own creative hobby. It helps me feel enthusiastic and excited for my own creative endeavors~

I love how many CZcamsrs you showed that I know / watch. Was really cool too see them all in here!
I never see theese animators talking about just animating, but you really sound so passionate and proud of what you've achived (and you deserve it, it looks awesome :]) yet the way you talk about it sounds so chill and engaging, it gives a really cool vibe.
Love your stuff, keep it up!
(you killed me making me think about how I was 12 when spiderverse 1 released lol)
Have you seen Doodley?
@@evilded2 Yes! and I love their vids, but I was sourprised to see a channel whose main focus isn't animation just talk about animating and developing their style in such a passionate way, it seemed refreshing because he just talked about things he liked and what he learned, which I found really inspiring
I relate to this a lot, I also used to think that 3D animation was just a way to make my videos more engaging, but after a while I realized how fun animating and Blender in general was fun. I am now trying to get better at the animation side of thing and spending way more time on it.
omg YOUR ARTSTYLE IS SO COOL?????? New fan here, but I already love this. I can't wait to see more! Amazing stuff right here!
2:28 I needed a pause for that
I THOUGHT IT CAME OUT LIKE 2 YEARS AGO TOPS
Same here, I was shocked.
Ohhh, this makes me so jealous of Blender. Seeing outlines get added so easily in Blender will always make me die inside. I've dabbled in it a little bit for some technical work - like exporting an elevation map for a mrere 5s of a video... but I'm firmly in Source 2 now. I was never much of an artist, so instead I've got a goal of pushing Source to its technical limits. The SFM community on Discord is just as vibrant as 3DTubing, they're a lovely lot.
LETS GOOOO (i'm a brain rotted zoomer and proud 🔥🔥🔥)

Truly the best of the worst ❤️🇲🇽🔥
Didn’t really notice the changes at first, but now I see it and you’ve really stepped up in quality, keep it up 💙
I fell in love with blender over the past year or so, its a crazy tool. Awhile ago I was on the fence on if I should do IRL commentaries with green screen video editing or 3d animation, and this video pushed over the fence. I am eternally grateful that Blender exists as a program.
Also I like the search bar easter eggs throughout the video, was nice to notice on repeat watches
One of my mods sent me this and ngl, I'm really happy to see more people talking about 3D!
In the Vtuber sphere there's a lot of emphasis on 2D, but I think there's a lot of potential in 3D too, and in the future I imagine we'll see vtubing blend with traditional animation is some really cool ways :3

It's really refreshing to see animation on CZcams be made with such skill and passion, the people who do these things clearly really love their craft.
Also funkin' tf2 reference????
i always say that i’m going to unlock unlimited power once i learn how to use blender. i’ve been using a mix of photoshop and premiere pro to edit my videos, but i want to learn blender to really push my animation style.
you’re a really great animator and the format of your vids is so grounded and so well written. i love the callbacks to your other vids because it not only showcases the growth of the channel but also the personal growth of yourself. you’ve inspired me to get back to drawing a few months ago and now i guessss you’ve convinced me to queue up a blender tutorial sometime this week.
btw sketchbook vid is super underrated. i love it and i wish it had more views. now i wanna binge watch all your videos again
I've been planning on becoming one of you 3DTubers for many months now, but it feels like for every new 3DTuber I discover the less unique my WIP character and style feels and I get insecure. I guess I just felt like sharing it, I have to sleep now.
...omnichord backing track? neat
edit: honestly I think when people say "every frame of spiderverse looks like it came out of a comic" what they're really seeing is the directing. The way they move the camera and position the characters, combined with the aesthetic choices using comic book 'artifacting' for lack of a better term, mean that it's really easy to picture each set of shots as a series of comic panels. Kind of hard not to once I noticed it tbh
this was a very inspiring video! the new set looks great, and i could feel the love and passion through the VO. best of luck with your projects, rock on!
The update looks amazing!! It's honestly inspiring me to start designing something like this.
This is really a charming video, I really enjoyed your analysis of the different art styles. Thank you!
As a 3d Tuber myself, hearing you vocalize exactly what I'm thinking just shows how much I gotta grow and take what you said to heart. Time for me to finally follow through with an overhaul myself.
really awesome! it's so encouraging to watch you grow!
i absolutely love this style of video so much, i’m definitely sticking around for more, even with all the youtubers you’re inspired by i just hav ego check all of them out after this! have a great day :))
Very cool video. I teach a Blender basics modeling class to high school students and I’m always interested to see what people are making, but had no idea 3Dtubers were even a thing. Thanks for sending me down an unknown rabbit hole. It looks like there is so much cool stuff to be discovered.
We love seeing more 3D dudes!! From 1 3D dude to another I love your set!
It's always a pleasure to follow your videos. Please don't feel pressured in any way and take the time you need to release the next ones. We will be here watching and I can't wait to see what's coming next.
Your content was always great and beautiful but now that you are taking it into this direction I think that these aspects can only improve and get better. And if I must say... you have became exactly what I've always wanted to become on CZcams and have been the greatest souse of inspiration for me.
This is so amazing! I honestly didn’t know about any 3D tubers other than FUNKe and Bucket hat Boy, but to see this huge community is amazing!
I’ve done a few videos in a similar 3D tubers style… and knowing that there is a thriving community around it has really inspired me to try out that style!
Thanks! Can’t wait for the next video!!!
Right now this type of stuff is my way of defining wich youtubers are putting effort or not, i love finding channels that have their own style.
I really loved this video. I just started getting into Blender by doing Joey Carlino's tutorial and have barely started his modeling tutorial. The entire time I've been bubbling over with excitement over the things I could create. I really appreciate learning just how much work and knowledge is needed for this. Seeing this just makes me even more motivated to keep going.
We are so back baybee!!! Every video I watch from you seriously just gets more and more visually appealing every time. I've been wanting to learn Blender for a while now but man just the whole vibe and style direction from this is stunning :) Makes me so happy to see you loving making these kinds if videos because it shows. Bravo 👏
Great video! I'm glad to be apart of the '3d tuber' community. I like that once a 3d model is made, It can be used for however long I see fit. You can pour so much detail into little things and then use them for as long as needed. And you aren't creating extra work for yourself by including all that detail like 2D would suffer from.
I absolutely love stumbling upon channels like this. Seeing others passionately describe their journey to learn more, taking influence from or paying homage to other artists, and just propping up other artists in general. It's just *so **_awesome!_* Every video akin to this one gives me more drive to get continue with Blender, to keep learning and reaching new milestones in my 3D competencies so I can inch closer to doing the things I've always daydreamed of.
Plus, seeing how artists approach their work has even helped me re-think how I do 2D work, and I've gotten SO much better than I was this time last year. I'm more confident, I'm taking on new challenges, and I'm having a genuinely fun time while doing it... And I attribute a lot of my gained enthusiasm to creators like you - people that share their joy for creation.
Thanks for the uplifting video, best of luck on your creative ventures, and keep being an awesome animator!
And thanks for the cool comment :] obviously I showed a LOT of other creators in this video, so it feels like a giant movement. But at the end of the day we're a tiny little niche community, and it feels good to lift each other up :]
It was entertaining hearing you talk about this. I kept seeing your video about 2D characters in 3D worlds in my recommended but never actually watched it yet. Plan on watching it after this. It's funny how I recognize (almost) all of the artists you showed in this video.
I hope this CZcams thing works out for you as well. I'm always looking for independent animators on here and hoping to come across another web series to delve into.
Great video!
lets goooo artistic expression for the win!!!!
genuinely though, wish you the best of luck on all your projects because the stuff you make is amazing
the fact you showed a bunch of niche 3d animators i recognized is a testament to their creativity. I was hoping to see krugston, but then sunny suprised me
Ohhh my goodnesss the setting with the outlinea and the paintbrush textures, ahh everything is so alive!! You just keep getting better, man! Much love
Perfect video to watch while developing my own game! I'll have to check out a lot of the youtubers that you mentioned in this video!
Your style looks so wonderful. Glad I found this channel :D
This video was so fun!! I can feel the passion oozing out of the video, it's crazy. I know literally nothing about art, but I wanna go make something now. I don't know where to start even, but I'm sure I'll find something.
This is genuinely so inspiring. Funke and Noodle were already some of my favorite youtubers and biggest inspirations for me for when i eventually start youtube, but this just gave me so much more to think about. I hope to be up there with you and everyone else you mentioned one day.
It's so refreshing to see youtubers who make such thoughtful art :D
I absolutely love your videos, and seeing you talk so dearly about the things you enjoy inspires me to try harder and improve (while also having fun) on the things I enjoy :D
love talkin abt this stuff. Awesome to see another passionate artist just talk about being creative (one that I really enjoy seeing videos they make too). You got some good vibes man, and it’s super cool to listen to other creatives just gush about the art they do, keep it up, I’ll listen.
Thanks so much for showcasing these peeps, I got to go subscribbles to some channels.
This video was sick. Almost everyone that it's here, has inspired me to try it by myself and (even if right now, uni is killing my time and myself) I'm looking foward to improve and create something cool with my videos and wathever comes next.
Thanks Jay for talking this topic, I really appreciate and now i'm a bit more happy.
awesome video dude! This really makes me want to improve my videos quality. I hope to get as good as you or any of the other 3dtubers some day.
I absolutely love your style and love your videos and even more I appreciate your attention to detail and your eye for quality! Keep at it, I'm sticking around and I can't wait to see what you're cooking up next 💪
this is such a nice video! It's only made me want to learn blender even more. 100% subscribing.
this is so cool!! you're making me want to get into animation again :)
Great video! Huge inspirations. Definitely something I'm hoping to get better at!
What you're doing is extremely impressive, can't wait for more! Good job!
Great video man, I think I’m actually gonna sit down and try to finish learning how to use blender
Man, something about your videos, it just makes me feel so inspired and motivated. I don't even know what it is, cause usually I'm very sporadic in terms of working on the things I love like game development, but when you post a new video, no matter what it's about, I just get very inspired to start creating. Anyways, cheers and keep up the good work!
i LOVE the new animation style!
I've been here since the first video and I have to say; I have genuinely never seen someone else with so much skill and passion for this stuff, and it's so refreshing and inspiring. Great video, never quit!
Thank you :]
This video is such a lovely appreciation for something that I hadn't even realised was an emerging genre!! Man, this makes me so excited for the future of indie animation. I know we're all always saying it, but Blender really has fueled something so precious and special by allowing this creativity! Thank you for the awesome video!
loved the video, gives so much inspiration as an aspiring 3DTuber!
always good when youtube recommends me new creators, subscribed! :D
As always, I love the positive energy you bring to your videos! It's really clear how much you love whatever you're talking about, in this case the incredibly justified pride in the improvements to your animation (love how the set is looking btw). Can't really subscribe to any patreons at the moment, but I've always been told being nice is free, and hopefully a comment appeases our CZcams overlords :) Looking forward to whatever is coming next, with those secret projects and all!
also you said you read every comment so hi! really like you content and what ive seen of it is so creative and inspiring! all bits and pieces of what i wanna someday learn myself, so thank you so much for putting it out!
Goated, this keeped amping up my urge to learn Blender, since I'm learning Maya and animation rn. 🐐
Really nice to see the variety of 3d youtubers you showed! Just a list of more people for me to subscribe to lmao
Just subbed and shared with friends; btw I'm so in love with the little DevGuy!!
I’m really glad you’ve made another video about your art. Love how you’re willing to make a video that’s not like your other videos.
That means a lot thanks :]
waaa incredible videoooo!!!! really happy to hear that you've been having so much fun with this :3
This was very inspiring! I'm a graphic design student and have been totally burnt out this year. Hearing you talk about how passionate you are with your art reminds me that I need to find time and space for myself to be creative again.
Always loved your Rayman like no limbs paper cut out in a 3D environment look. Very unique with a craftlike vibe.
Honestly, listening to you talk about all the things that inspire you, and how most of them are also people i keep with and feel inspired by is genuinely so magical. Keep up the great work man, you are doing youtube justice.
Your content is exactly what I wanted and needed thanks for making these amazing videos
You’ve improved so much aaaaaaaaa, style is lovely jay keep it up 💥
Thanks :]
Hey man glad to see your improvement, funny thing is 2 weeks ago i went for 2 week school trip in germany where we were exploring our talents, and i said i wanted to make a comic series, the guy liked the idea, and we could choose between making a website and learning blender, it was my first time, and while i though it was messy for me and i didnt finish the animation since i ran out of time, i manage to make a g1 soundwave model, and while it wasnt perfect by any means, it felt good to make it, so im concidering to pick blender, however not sure for what, ive been really into drawing since like age of 13 and even before little, so seeing people like you it makes me inspired. however i often question myself if its worth it or not, while im excited when i work on the comic, like putting ideas in my head on paper or brainstorming new concepts, i find few obsticals in my way, like not having time due to school, not sure if my ideas are good enough or if i can write them well, if my art is good, i dont know how to animated on a tablet since my whole life i only drawn on paper (what doesnt help is that i have dysgraphia) and just other obsticals, i hope this comment doesnt come off as too self centered, i just been having these thoughts for a while and idk this felt like a good place to went, anyway i really like your work, i never joined any patreon, but i might concider joining yours, anyway thank you for reading
I have been thinking about learning Blender the past few days, but it looked really really intimidating, but this video really motivated me to just, try out new stuff, not just Blender, anything really. So, thank you!
Loved your video, Rayman!
Man thank you, you've got such an amazing ability to motivate and inspire, ive been holding back on exploring my passions because of all the fears that come from doing that, but you manage to chip away at that block
Glad I could help :]

cool video man, learning blenders a blast but its definitly a time sink. Great platform though, and again cool video man
You're an inspiration, keep it up! :)
we missed you too
i personally always love to see the new videos you make and it's always great
youtube needs more creators like you (well i guess they kinda do with Funke and the 3dtubers you mentioned)
you can feel the effort that is beeing put into these videos and it's really cool
keep being awesome 🐟👍
i really like how your content is the same 2d characters in 3d world style and i was already blown away by your animated segments before. now its just gotten way better
As a beginner 3Dtuber I can confirm. It's just way easier to make a model of your character that you can do anything with rather than making faces on camera if you don't want to. So much potential
Dude, i didn't need you making me excited about learning Blender, I'm already not giving enough attention to my other creative hobbies. By all means, THANKS for inspiring me❤.
the appreciation to all those other 3D CZcamsrs big and small was such a nice touch!
and I now just had a life crisis with the spiderverse fact..
Love the style, looks amazing!
always awesome to see fellow 3DTubers getting some hype! thanks for making this video! 😀
I love this video so much, like it’s all about a specific awesome vibe, in the vibe? I am terrible about describing my feelings but yes, I say yes
incredible stuff. subbed
i absolutely love making 3D animation, i just hate how side tracked i always seem to get. i’ve been using blender since 2.79 and i don’t even have more than 5 finished projects despite having a somewhat reasonable working knowledge of how everything in blender works,, besides nodes. hopefully one day soon i can sit down and get all these ideas out of my head, thank you for giving me more motivation to get started
I love your content, it's like talking to my friend, it's something I always look for, it keeps me watching and interested! Thanks for the amazing content.
I cry
You good?
Sorry, *I cry (tears of joy [from your sincere comment])

@JayTheDevGuy for sure man! I love your videos!
I’m a 2D beginner animator and while some things are different I was still able to learn so much from this video about design, style, personalization and was introduced to 3 creators I didn’t know of so thank you!
I've just recently gotten into Blender, and I am officially obsessed. Also, like most zoomers, I've always had the itch to make YT videos some day. Maybe I can do that with this style. A 3D animated avatar, that is.
Thanks to you and the other brilliant creators you showed. Yall are really inspiring forreal. Hopefully I'll be able to create something just as cool as you guys at some point 💜
